Lismore is a small rural town having only passed through quickly i can say the general vibe was nice and welcoming. located 165 km west of Melbourne on the Hamilton Highway.

There is a big University Campus in Lismore and therefore many students around. I think it is best to go there during the student calendar year, more parties to go

A beautiful little town with a very nice church! The look out is worth a visit to get an overview of the town. I liked it and will visit again but look out for the flood water.

Lismore may be a bit remote for Byron Bay beach-seekers but can make a nice area to stay if Byron is sold out (over summer or new years).

Main town on the far north coast. Quite big for a country town with all the conveniences you\'d expect. You\'d be better staying at Byron Bay or Lennox Head in this area as it\'s more coastal.

Not quite Nimbin yet, but the pretty colours are all prevalent. Lismore is an interesting small country town.

I went up there once to visit a friend who was going to University up there. The Uni campus was really nice. Lots of green around
