About this property

The Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage is in honour of its origin as the original home of the East Point Park lighthouse keeper. The cottage was moved to its new location, right beside East Point Park, many years ago and now provides guests with the opportunity to experience a bit of Saturna history on their holiday.

Imagine waking up to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach in front of your cottage. Enjoy a cup of coffee (or wine!) while watching play in the ocean from the big picture window in the living room. The cottage offers you a cozy getaway with easy access to East Point Park, which renown for its Orca watching.
Features of the cottage are: a comfortable queen bed, three piece bathroom, full kitchen with dining area, and a large living room with a pull out double sofa-bed. All linens and towels and bottled water are provided.

Now all you have to do is pick an available time and pack your bags. Your Saturna adventure awaits you at the Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage.

Kraftort

What a beautiful place, simply gorgeous at the eastern end of the island. The little house has everything you need, a little old, but everything is clean. You get a bit of a lighthouse keeper feeling.

Amazing location

The cabin was clean and the bed comfortable. The location is unbeatable. However, as mentioned by other reviewers, there are no screens in the windows so when you open the windows for ventilation or cooling, flies and mosquitos come in. With the windows shut in July it can be stuffy and hot, despite running a fan. The cabin would be much more comfortable and enjoyable if renters could open the windows. Also it would help to have lids for some of the pots and a usable broom and dustpan so people could clean the floor a bit during their stay.

Saturna cottage

The property is amazingly located with fantastic views of the ocean and Tumbo. Seals, eagles and deer where always around and the seals playing or sunning themselves was relaxing to watch from the window or picnic table. Easy walk to East Point as well. Was a great stay.

What a place...

We're already planning our stay here for next year, it's the perfect location for some good down time! Amazing wildlife, waking up to eagles and seals splashing was my favorite part. Took our boat to Tumbo Island, its magical there, will plan for a day next time.

We’ve been staying in this cabin off and on for 16 years, it’s clean, tidy, has everything you need for a comfortable stay in one of the most beautiful places in Canada. We saw orcas, sea lions, seals, deer, otters … A wonderful stay. Thanks!

Island Paradise

Our stay in the heritage East Point cabin was absolutely magical! Our 1st visit to Saturna Island and it captured our hearts. We saw Orcas along the cliffs, many seals, Eagles above, played at the quiet beach, wandered East Point Park, and we’re mesmerized by the endless sunsets! We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year already!

Fall getaway

My husband, dog and I really enjoyed staying in this cozy, comfortable cabin. Great location for bird and wildlife watching next to East point - didn’t see orcas or humpbacks but there were lots of porpoises, sea lions, and seals.

We love Eastpoint. We love cabin 3. So much we got married on this trip. Our accommodations were amazing. Everything you need for an island get away. Clean. Comfortable. Decent wifi. Kitchen has all the appliances you need. It’s just perfect. ***** Five Stars by far!!!

Beautiful spot

My week with friends at the rustic Lighthouse Keepers Cottage was delightful. The cottage had everything we needed and the pebble beach and nearby East Point Park kept us busy with swimming and walks.

A Special PlCe

I was really worried about our trip to Saturna. . We had made the booking without having ever heard of Saturna and we were travelling a long distance to get there. We took a gamble on the booking as we needed a place to holiday with our dog and most BC accommodations were booked. All I can say is that we were blown away we arrived at East Point. The location is a nature lovers dream and the cabin with its view of the ocean was charming and well stocked. Something really special about this place. My soul is happy to have been able to spend time here.

Summer beach fun stay ….

Best location! Quiet beach out front excellent for swimming, throwing your kayaks in, picnicking and watching the stream of daily orcas swim by. Sunsets also game on ! Cabin is very rustic and aged but the owners are making attempts to upgrade. Also cabins are not very private as other cabins near by. However, if you are out and about all day exploring you would use the cabin only for sleeping and cooking ( great bbq on the deck ). Would highly recommend if you are looking for some summer playtime.

Absolute serenity

Beautiful cabin in an absolutely stunning location on Saturna. The cabin is tastefully finished and comfortable in every way. There are really nice extra amenities in the cupboards and closet; the hosts thought of everything. Everything about this cabin and location get a 10/10 score from our group. We absolutely loved it and must have repeated over and over for three nights how beautiful it was. We will return at some point. Also, quick communication from the hosts was appreciated.

Beautiful place to stay

Perfect location. East point has a calm side and in 2 minutes you are on open ocean. You can see seals, lots of birds and some huge ships gliding by. This is a magical place.
