About this property

The Country Nook. A relaxing retreat from the city.

A great country property nestled up against a forested area. A small screened in patio off the back to enjoy the mornings. Wonderful hiking trails located just a 2 minute walk away. A common draw to the area is the world famous Stratford festival just a short 15 minute drive away. This is a great retreat from the city. The Country Nook is right beside our house. But offers a ton of privacy. If you have any questions or need something please don't hesitate to knock or send us a message. There is no cellphone service but wifi calling allows your cellphone to work normally. With your opening message will send you how to use it.
Please note we have 2 large dogs who are confined to our property via an Invisible Fence System. They do roam our property but are not permitted in the retreat unit. If you wish to meet them please let us know. Finally, we have security cameras that face the drive way and nook entrance. They do not look into the unit itself and are there to monitor the property only.

Very nice cozy and modern cabin

Very nicely decorated and made with quality materials. View of woods in back. Could use a small table in living room for eating but it did have a bar top in kitchen. Was quiet. I would stay there again.

All you need

The rental was so cozy and comfortable. The hosts were so kind and accomodating. The location is so perfect 5 minutes to Stratford. So much to do. Will rent again in the future. A 10 out of 10!

This was the most beautiful, graciously hosted, close to home, perfectly appointed, thoughtfully designed getaway gem of a property i have ever had the privledge of enjoying! Will certainly be returning again to experience all the seasons at the Country Nook hosted so kindly by Allison, Kevin and their sweet furbabies. My dear friend and i loved our 2 night stay ... truly ☆☆☆☆☆ experience! Thanks again and see you in the Fall!

Super clean and cozy

A cozy cabin, it’s a like the perfect retreat, nestled in nature with a fireplace and all you need. It’s much better than vrbo photos specially inside the cabin. Almost you don’t need to bring anything and in case you need something the supermarket is like a 5 min drive.

Lovely get away

It was a lovely spot not too far from the town when needed. Had all the basic amenities plus the firepit outside! Nice and clean property with a great view. When needed something from the property hosts, they were quick to respond and help!

Quiet retreat in the country

The newly renovated cottage (from a farm shed -- very interesting and with character!) is on the edge of a forest very near to the Avon trail. Hikes in the snow were incredible! Amenities are modern and attractive. We enjoyed the quiet, being close to nature, learning new board games, and luxurious accommodations. The perfect place for us to unwind and relax.

Quiet and cozy getaway

Our stay was very quiet, relaxing, and pleasant and owners were very engaged with communication. We did not need to message the owners during our stay but it was nice to know that we could be accomodated by them at any time. The place was also very clean and organized with many modern, up-to-date appliances and technologies. If you are looking for a small, cozy place to stay with your partner or a couple of friends, this would be a great option.

Sweet Spot!

The Country Nook was exactly what I was looking for when needing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin was spotless, and had all the amenities I needed. Fantastic grounds and places to explore, this cabin truly is clean and one of a kind. The hosts are kind and accommodating, and I look forward to my next visit!

Kevin’s cabin is a delight, the pictures in the listing give a good idea of how cosy and modern it is. We had a couple of small avoidable hiccups in our experience. The keypad for the front door lock requires a tap to wake it up. This initial tap doesn’t count as part of the code entry. We couldn’t figure that out, fortunately Kevin was right next door to bail us out. We were also a bit bamboozled by the magnetic Venetian blinds that don’t have a traditional string mechanism - you just pull them down! My wife was sure the rod was how it was done, which resulted in the rod falling off. Hopefully Kevin can get it back on. We’d definitely like to return.

Lovely Cabin

The cabin was clean, new and comfortable. Communication was easy and replies almost immediate. Although next to the owners’ house it still felt private. It is an easy drive from Stratford and so much nicer than the hotels in town. We will definitely stay here again!

Fall retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The space is well maintained. The interior is beautiful (a reminder: don’t judge a book by it’s cover). Kitchen and bath had all the items we needed. The hosts were responsive to our messages and had clear instructions. We had a wonderful time visiting Stratford which is a 10 minute drive. There were also board games that the family enjoyed playing together. Thanks!

Cute and Cozy

Had a great time staying at the Nook. It was clean, cute and cozy. Adam was very helpful and quick to respond to messages. Even though the Nook is next to Adams home, it was tucked away in the corner and had plenty of privacy I also had the opportunity to say hello to both dogs. Very quiet, friendly and didn’t cause any issues. I’d be happy to stay here again!

Quaint Retreat

We are are a husband and wife team who loves to meet new people and have fun new experiences! If we are not on the property we are off on our own adventures which include skiing, snowboarding, camping and hiking.

This is a relaxing retreat. Close enough to Stratford but far enough away to have your own private retreat.

What makes this property unique

It's secluded and quiet. A lovely pond is out front. A Norwegian wood fireplace outside and a gas one inside. All the inside touches make this feel like a family cottage a place to relax and recharge.
