About this property

This unique four bedroom house is the perfect place to enjoy paradise. It sits on a beautiful shallow beach with an awesome view and private beach access. Literally go down the porch stairs fifteen steps and you're on the beach!

The large ocean facing covered porch and sun deck has plenty of room for sunbathing, outdoor dining and enjoying pina coladas. Relax in the hammocks, listen to the waves crash while watching the pelicans catch fish and the surfers catch waves. Grill fresh fish in the charcoal barbecue. At night let the sounds of the waves loll you to sleep and in the morning, brew a cup of coffee and take a leisurely stroll on the beach (there are miles of beach in either direction).

Sol Rico is located in a safe neighborhood in the Porta del Sol Tourism Area on the West side of the island in the municipality of Aguada (near Rincon). The property is located 25 minutes from the Aguadilla Airport (BQN) and less than two hours from Luis Munoz Marin Airport (SJU) at San Juan.

The house has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, smart TV, WiFi, and gated parking for two cars. Air conditioning in all the bedrooms.

High school graduation surf party

Our families stayed in the beautiful side by side beach houses in Aguada, PR. No need to leave these amazing beach houses. The sun and surf are at your fingertips and amazing food (street food, bakeries and beach restaurants) are within walking distance. Read a book on one of the comfortable hammocks or on the beach with the surf hitting your toes. Clean, modern and all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. The hosts were attentive and responded quickly to our very minimal needs. The house has plenty of room for 6 (Sleeps 8) We had 6 adults-3 generations. I highly recommend Casa Sol Rico Dos and for multi families/ friends rent the Casa Sol Rico Uno too!!

Great family stay

We had a great stay on the quiet, private beach. The house had everything we needed to enjoy meals at the house along with a cool charcoal grill set up. Close enough to Rincon and Aguadilla to get to all the surf breaks. Owner was very quick to answer any questions we had.

A wonderful Place with a Wonderful View

We absolutely loved our stay at this place. The host was extremely easy to contact and we had no issues throughout our stay. The place itself is clean and well kept. Beach towels, bathroom towels, and kitchen amenities were all clean and organized. The best part was the view of the ocean from the porch, absolutely amazing!

Lovely clean property and great views. Unfortunately the beach, which we were looking forward to, was not safe enough to swim in. Lots of wood all over the sand and water was not as clear as other beaches in Puerto Rico.

Oceanfront

We rented the house for a beach trip getaway for a week. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Lay out of house was nice, and we spent most of our time on the huge outside deck. The house is directly on the beach. When the surf is up one can enjoy watching the surfers catching the waves! We swam in tbe water when it was calm,but there are better swimming beaches close by. Location was perfect for day trips to area attractions. Ernesto, our host, was helpful, friendly, and takes good care of his property.

Hidden gem, could not have been better. A++

Our family and friends could not stop gushing about how great this place was. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in paradise. There's a fantastic surfing break right out the back door and there's always someone surfing out there. The walks on the beach in both directions are epic. You can even swim at this beach! Not typical for the area, usually too rocky. Everything about this stay was top-notch. If you do stay here, don't forget there's an additional full bath on the outside of the house, next to the laundry room. Ernest was very communicative and helpful. His dinner recommendations were exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend this place!

Great Family Getaway

This location was the perfect getaway for my family and friends. We had three small children with us and the property was safe and very conveniently located. It doesn't get better than walking right out onto the beach every morning and grilling on the deck at night. The sounds of the Ocean fill the house all day which was so relaxing and when we did need to work, the wifi worked perfectly. It's a very quiet neighborhood with a very private beach. There is delicious local food within a 5 minute drive. Great vacation and I hope to be back soon!

The Best Surf Vacation

We stayed at Sol Rico Uno for 2 weeks in January when I turned 50. What an amazing setup for surfing. The break right in front of the house was super fun especially if you love lefts, what a treat to be able to roll out of bed and literally be in the water 5 minutes later! Accommodations were great and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was quite a treat. I will definitely be returning next year to score more waves.

Beautiful Views

Everything about this home is beautiful and welcoming. The house had everything we wanted and more. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The host Ernest and Sunny was very nice and responded quickly. It could have been better

Although we enjoyed the house and especially the terrace, there were issues with the thoroughness of the cleanliness, the fridge, the ash-filled barbecue and the rusting paint on the terrace. Those are things that - if corrected - would have made the memories (and photos) perfect.

Beautiful Views

This house has amazing views and access to a private beach. Most of the time we were the only people out on the water. The kids were able to paddle board, surf, and build sand castles while the adults sat nearby watching. The property manager was great with communication.

Amazing house

This house was a complete dream! I highly recommend it. The views are great, it is close to everything and there a lot of space! The kitchen looks great. The bathrooms are awesome (3 of them) and the private access to the beach is what really makes this house special. Can’t wait to go back :)

Recharging Relaxing Revitalizing!

First time PR travelers here and thanks to Casa Sol Rico, we can't wait to do it all again. Hubs and I took our 19yo daughter and 16yo son. This is exactly what we are looking for in a vrbo experience; quiet, local and off the beaten path. I loved the location, an easy 2hr drive from SJU and a great starting spot for amazing adventures like Rincon and Gozalandia Falls. A little local bar run by a delightful couple, Directo al Higado Bar and Grill was our go to spot for some late night shenanigans. What we loved about the house: The bedrooms get proper COLD at night, we are Texans and this is essential for a good nights sleep. The doors and windows are super secure and new with sturdy locks (not that you need them but worth mentioning). The kitchen is also brand new, with nice clean appliances. The back patio.... omg the back patio... hammocks... shade...sun...sand....sea. You can want for nothing more. The house comes with plenty of towels and some beach chairs that made for hours of calm surf floating. I was pleasantly surprised at all of the "wash off stations." There is a hose and shower down at the beach and two hoses on the patio which really help keep the sand out of the house. Alycia, the house manager is great, easy to communicate via txt and very available should you need anything at all. If it's not obvious yet, I highly recommend this property! =)

Perfect Quiet Beach Retreat

This was the best place to stay in quaratine. The views from the terrace are spectacular. I loved napping in the hammocks listening to the crashing waves. There was a constant breeze. The kitchen was very nice! Alycia was very helpful and helped us find great takeout. We will definietly be staying here again!

Rich and Sunny first came to Puerto Rico in 1997 on their honeymoon. They are both from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Seattle, Washington in 2010. They have three children ages 14, 12 & 9. They love being on the water and have vacationed on the beaches Florida, California, Maui, Turks and Caicos and Panama. However, they found that Puerto Rico has the most to offer of all the beaches they have visited!

Why they chose this property

In January of 2019, Rich and I came to Western Puerto Rico searching for a beach house to buy. We rented this large house, Vista Azul #1, from Mr. Domingo Cruz eventhough it was just the two of us since it was in a local neighborhood, directly on the beach. As soon as we stepped onto the terrace we fell in love! During our visit, we did not find a suitable house to purchase. After we returned home, we emailed Mr. Cruz asking if he would consider selling us the house. At first he said no, but then he emailed us a week later, asking us to make an offer. We closed on the house three months later and are very excited to share our drean come true with those wanting to enjoy a quiet beach in a local PR neighborhood with spetacular views and beautiful clear warm water!

What makes this property unique

Puerto Rico is a tropical paradise. It has the beaches, the moutains , the wonderful people and delicious food. Nothing can compare to the crystal waters of the Carribean. PR is a US Territory and uses the US dollar. You do NOT need a passport to travel to PR. English is the second language so it is not difficult to communicate with the locals. (Spanish is the main language spoken).
