Nice place very close to the lake

We had a lovely 3 nights at Wharewaka, with 2 kids, 2 adults and 2 grandparents. The facilities are all functional and clean. The backyard is large enough for all games you can think of but probably the best aspect for us was the proximity to the lake. Just a couple of minutes walk so we spent a lot of time swimming.

Incredible Home away from Home

Our stay was so comfortable and homely. Only 2 of us but could have had way more... so well equiped and cozy. Will be back again for sure to enjoy the location more as we were busy with an event and were out during the day. Only a short walk to the lake! Thanks for sharing your awesome little cottage.

Great getaway

Clean, tidy, well equipped. Short walk to the Lake and to a newish entertainment area with mini golf, bowling, cafe, pub, etc.

Perfect Weekend Away

From initial correspondence to check in and our stay, everything's was so easy. The house was bigger than expected and we had a wonderful stay there. We attended a wedding only 15 minutes away so the location was pefect. Highly recommend!

Hidden jem

Great place with plenty of room for back yard cricket. Covered back area to enjoy the shaded sun or to escape the rain. Everything was perfect for our stay

Great location in a cosy house

Loved our stay, excellent location with everything close by and not too far from town. House had everything we needed and very comfortable. Lance was so easy to deal with and very accommodating meeting all our needs. No hassles at all. Kids loved it will definitely be booking again.

Great little getaway

Was very happy staying here. Was a bit of a rush in the morning washing the bed linen and cleaning up before check-out at 10 but loved staying here. The lake was just a few minutes' walk down the road with a neat playground.

Fantastic location and holiday property

We stayed here for two nights and wish it could have been longer! The house is perfectly set up for a family with two sets of bunks, comfortable beds and mattresses. It's in a great location, very close to Wharewaka Point and the huge section is a great spot for kids to run around on, or kick a ball. The lounge is a great size and it was wonderful to be somewhere that provided a few pantry staples as well as lots of crockery and cutlery (I've been to places where the only thing they have on hand is salt and pepper!) Lance's communication was prompt and his instructions on how to access the property were clear. I hope we'll be back!

We had a great stay here for Ironman weekend. Lance sent all the information needed well in advance, and communication was excellent over the weekend. We had stayed here previously, and knew it was a great place, and would definitely stay here again.

Great house with a big open backyard

We had a great stay here. We used it as a base for the epic swim. It was an easy bike ride into Taupo for the event, all off road. There are kayak and pedal boat rentals very close by on the water front. The house was clean and everything was comfortable.

it was perfect!

as a group of young adults who needed somewhere to relax and enjoy good food. this place was a home away from home. we loved the huge backyard to kick a ball around & the rooms where great too. close to the township but far enough away to not be apart of the hussle. we would definitely be back!

Great location, quiet and sunny.

Everything clean and tidy and kitchen has everything you need. Only downside was TV would not work despite troubleshooting and washing machine didn't work either. Would be 5/5 if these issues didn't exist.

Great for a family

Loved our stay here. It was perfect for our large family. The kids thought the bunks were great. Lovely lounge with plenty of comfy seating for everyone. Huge backyard. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
