About this property

Centrally located on the West Coast of Florida, convenient to many Florida attractions, River Hideaway on the Manatee sits on 1 1/2 acres nestled at the end of a private road. This home features 4,200 square feet under air. The second floor Is the main living space and has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, living/dining room, and a family room. The family room centers around a gorgeous view of the river. If movies are for you, the family room has a 65 inch smart tv with Roku. If you love a good family game night, it is stocked with games and puzzles. If someone has to work or study, there is also a desk overlooking the river. The kitchen is fully outfitted and ready for you to get cooking! The kitchen opens up to the two story caged lanai with seating areas on both floors. The first floor has a large game room with ping pong, foosball and air hockey, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The first floor lanai has a tiki bar, table for dining and lounge chairs by the large salt water pool. If you are looking for adventure, the garage has 4 kayaks, life vests, and oars so your adventure can start right from the new 90 foot dock. Pool is not heated.

Please note that the first and second are separate. While remaining inside the home, the access is through the garage.

Beautiful place!

The owners are so nice and so easy to work with and to get in touch with when I had questions. The home is beautiful! Our kids loved the pool and game room and we loved fishing off the dock! The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful! We had a family of 12 and there was so much room for all of us. The kitchen was the best stocked home we've ever stayed with. We'll be back!

Beautiful on the river!

So so much room for my family! There was so much to do. The house was clean! We kayaked, played games, swimming for days! We caught so many different fish in the river! We only left the house twice to go to the beach because there was so much to do at this place! I will definitely return. It’s so quiet and a very peaceful neighborhood. My kids never got bored, there’s ALWAYS something to do.

Perfect

I brought my daughter and 7 year old granddaughter to see my son and his new daughter. We came down from New York so the sun and heat were very welcomed. The pool was the biggest hit for us to gather around and the little mermaid I brought had a blast. The play room was great and rest of the house was well kept up and very clean. They even had more than ample amount towels to use. I would definitely rent this again. This is a really good one.

Awesome waterfront retreat

We spent 5 days with family. The hosts were excellent at answering all questions quickly and accurately. The house is on the water in a beautiful setting. We had 9 adults in our party and there was room for everyone. The game room was a great place to relax in the evenings. The kayaks were lots of fun for morning paddles to see manatees in the next cove. Some enjoyed a nice bike ride one evening. There is so much to do to keep everyone happy. There are plenty of great attractions in the area for day excursions. We enjoyed the ringling brothers museum, the beach, and a local boat tour. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful Retreat Oasis

This house was even better than what the pictures show. The house was immaculately cleaned and had every amenity needed on a family vacation. Tom was super responsive and a perfect host.

Perfect

This was the perfect place for a spring break getaway with a group of moms and sons. The house is very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need! The game room was a huge hit, especially on the one rainy day we had. The bikes, fishing poles, and beach gear available to use made staying back at the house or heading to the Gulf so easy. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, game room, and kitchen were in a separate quarters (like a mother-in-law quarters) that the older boys loved. Although this house is about 30 minutes from every place we could possibly want to go, the spring break traffic made the commutes at least double that some of the time. Tom and Brigit were great answering questions and responding promptly when we had a question. We enjoyed many restaurants and beaches they recommended. The website they have for their place is awesome! We would definitely stay here again.

Great family getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at the River Hideaway! We were a family of 7 adults, so we appreciated having plenty of space to spread out for a week together. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts thought of everything which made for an easy stay. Hosts were very communicative and helped with any questions we had prior to and during our stay. The house, pool and grounds were beautiful! The house was priced reasonably for us when split 7 ways. 😊 We would happily stay at River Hideaway again in the future. Thanks to Tom and Bridget for being wonderful hosts!❤️

Beautiful

Our group had such a great time. Tom was more than accommodating and check in/check out was a breeze. The kids really enjoyed the pool and fishing off the dock. Fishing was best in the morning as it’s pretty shallow. We caught cat fish in the evenings and Jacks in the morning with a bonus snook. There is a ton of space to spread out and the game room was so much fun. Kayaking was awesome! This house has everything you need. It felt like we were staying at a private resort. Thanks Tom!!

We booked this amazing house for our family wedding . Beautiful house! When you walk into the front foyer, you will be swept away! Amenities and thoughtful touches are wonderful. Beautiful home and property. Sunsets were amazing. We also saw dolphins out the living room window swimming by the boat dock. Went down to the boat dock and they came back by. Was able to get pictures. Went kayaking saw a male eagle watching over the female and the babies that were in the nest. We visit this area every year to spend some time with my brother and sister-in-law. This was the most memorable vacation of all. Thanks to Tom and Brigit. Thanks for sharing this special home and scenery with us.

Great Place

Our group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed this great house. There was plenty of room for all of us (and more), and it was nice having another smaller kitchen downstairs for those guests. We especially enjoyed the water views and watching the water birds and sunrises and sunsets. The home is exactly as shown online. Our hosts, Tom and Brigit were great and we plan to stay again next year.

Perfect setting for our family Thanksgiving gathering

The river house was perfect for our family ranging in age from 8 mo to 77 yrs old. There was lots of room to spread out. We do wish there had been a heater on the pool because it was too cold for the adults to enjoy.

Long weekend getaway for multiple families attending lacrosse tournament nearby

Great house to host 4 families attending a lacrosse tournament nearby. So much space and plenty of amenities to make the weekend enjoyable! Tom and Brigit are accommodating and communicative. The house is nestled on a private road away from the hustle-bustle of the local highways. The house was clean and had everything you can think of.

Another great stay at the River Hideaway!

I have rented this house a few times and really enjoy the area. The owner is a fantastic host and the communication is perfect. I rent the house for business and do not get to use the amenities, but there are many. The game room is awesome too! Next time I rent I want to kayak on the Manatee River!

Lovely place with beautiful views

We had a lovely stay and would recommend to families looking for a great place to stay in Florida. The views were amazing and the house was perfect with plenty of space. Hosts couldn't have been more helpful and everything very smooth which made for a perfect break.

Manatee River Gem

This house is perfect for large groups and people who are looking for a Florida waterfront experience. The garage is full of options from bicycles to kayaks and the game room has table tennis, air hockey, foosball, and ski ball. The sunrise and sunsets from this location are absolutely fantastic! I have rented this house twice personally, and actually have it rented for a third time in the very near future. The hosts are fantastic people and very accommodating.

Amazing holiday home

Spent a week at River hideaway after a busy week in Disney. Was just what we needed, very homely, well stocked home in a beautiful location. Tom was on hand for anything we needed and had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. View across manatee river is stunning and kids enjoyed hours of fun in the pool and play room. Highly recommend to families.

Very relaxing vacation. Quiet with plenty of room to spread out and do what you like.

We had a group of 10 and everyone had comfortable sleeping space. We thoroughly enjoyed kayaking on the manatee as well as fishing and biking. The pool was clean and perfect temperature as it was very hot during our stay in August. We enjoyed ping pong and watched movies every night. The drive to the beaches was a little longer than we expected, but worth it to go forvth

Spectacular

We’ve stayed at many properties over the years and I think we were all in agreement this was the best one we’ve stayed at. The house was spacious and we were all able to spread out. The pool was perfect. The views on the river were great. The owner was an amazing communicator. We went to the beach daily - but keep in mind the beach is a bit of a drive usually 30 minutes due to traffic - but I knew that ahead of time so it wasn’t a problem at all. We had an amazing time and would absolutely come back!
