Welcome to the 'Peapod Cabin'. Our cabin comes loaded with everything you'll need for a stay with just your partner, your family or friends. Enjoy lake views from the Porch, Deck, Living Room, Kitchen and downstairs bedroom. Savor a long bubble bath in the jetted tub. Stay cozy reading next to the fireplace. The options are endless for your stay.

**Summer stays must be a full Sun-Sun rental**In the springtime enjoy views of the birds coming back to the open waters of the lake. We love watching the loons and the eagles in the mornings from our screened in porch. Head on over to Albion Park just down the road for picnics, hiking, or just large open areas for your kids to burn some energy. Grab a local bottle of wine from a nearby winery and sip it by the fireplace with your fresh chocolates from the local candy store.

Ah Summertime. The best time for the lake! We have a beach/swimming area right on our property for you to enjoy. A pontoon is available for rent and we have a dock if you'd like to bring your own boat as well. We have water toys, sand toys, a canoe, paddle boards and more for you to enjoy outdoors. Be sure to get your s'more fix in at night around the fire while you listen to the night sounds of the lake.

In the fall, you must get out and enjoy the colors! Take a hike, grab your camera for photos of the trees around the lake, build leaf piles in the yard. There are a few apple orchards nearby that offer both kids and adult activities. Grab some apples and head back to the cabin to bake a homemade pie and sip on a fresh jug of local apple cider.

In the wintertime our cabin includes ice skates in numerous sizes (we can't guarantee we have your size), sleds, a pair of cross country skis and snow toys. Want to try your hand at ice fishing? We have a pop-up ice house available at no extra charge. Want to stay inside and relax during your stay? No problem. We have 6 smartTV's with wifi to catch up on show-binging, a jetted tub to soak in for hours, a fireplace with reading options from baby to grandma and warm & plush throws with plenty of mugs to fill with hot chocolate or coffee.

*Icehouse is seasonal and is only on the lake during safe ice levels. Subject to change at anytime.

Perfect Spot

This lake house had everything we were looking for. Fit our group of 8 perfectly. Loved the fact that it was close enough to the cities but still seemed “up north”. Kids had a great time catching fish right off the dock.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience. It is a beautiful property. The only complaints are that dishes were put away dirty (caked on food from the dishwasher) & there weren’t enough kitchen towels for drying dishes. The crockpot was missing its liner and lid. Great communication with Kati, I will recommend this to others!

Well Worth The Stay

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice, clean and plenty of room for 8 of us. The lake view was pretty and relaxing. I wasn’t a fan of the firmness of our bed (too hard) but I would imagine it would be hard to make everyone happy in this regard. My only real complaint would be the internet tv. The tv in the living room didn’t want to work most of the time. It kept losing connection to the network. With it being Thanksgiving weekend we were hoping to have the games on. We had to play them on an iPad that had its own cellular service. In the big scheme of things this is a small complaint. Great communication by the owner. She was very nice. We are overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again and recommend this location!

Quiet lake front

It was a decent looking cabin, but had a bad smell. I paid a cleaning fee, but we had to put the previous people's dishes way from dishwasher. We we're also asked to strip the beds. We also didn't care for the check out time. 10 am is a bit early. Even many hotels let your stay until noon. Overall a fair rating

Week at lake for family

We all enjoyed the lake cabin . We are a family of 16. Ages 6 months to 81 years . Only 5 adults stayed over night the remaining love close on Minn. we came from CA and AZ . The lake is beautiful . Water was low . We have a family member with a good size boat we could enjoy for the day . Public launch is close by . Cabin it self was perfect for larger and small groups . Every thing needed was on site. We would stay again . We loved the porch for views with no bugs . Great place

The lake !

We enjoyed being outside on the lake! The kayak and paddle boards and paddle boat were awesome! The inside screen porch was full of spiders and cobwebs we vacuumed out! The Bess were horrible but with the heat and dry weather didn’t help ! I of course got stung ! Thanks bunches!

Family Get together.

The inside of cabin was clean and neat. Family really enjoyed the padel boat, kayaks and padel boards. Pan fishing was great. We enjoyed the pontoon but the extra charge was too much, should be included with cabin rental. Owner stated there would be firewood on scene, there was none. The gas grill was so dirty and rusty it was unusable, I bought a new one and used that. Over all it was a nice week but I think the price is too high for what you get.

Family time at the lake

We had a wonderful family vacation. There is a variety of fun water equipment/ toys for all ages. The cabin is located in a quiet, peaceful area. We had an enjoyable week at the lake.

Perfect place to relax at the lake

From the moment we entered, we knew it was the perfect place for us. It was extremely clean inside and out. The bedrooms were very quiet and very comfortable. The house slept eight comfortably. Our ninth was on a mattress on the floor, which worked for a 10 year old. We spent our whole week on our pontoon that we brought ourselves on the lake. It had beautiful sunrises, and we were lucky to have the perfect weather. The lake was a little weedy, but we found spots to jump off the boat in in the middle of the lake, which we pretty much had to ourselves all week. The whole area was extremely quiet, neighborhood and lake. We loved it and felt so much peace while we were there. We were not there to fish. We only through a line in the water couple of times and caught some small Sunfish. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and in the kitchen, it was very spacious and easy to move around with many cooks in the kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Lake memories

Lakefront oasis! Peaceful stay with sunrise views and sunset magic. Large lakefront with all the toys! The kids enjoyed the variety of toys and creative fun options. Modern furnishings and beachy decor rounded out relaxing vibe with cool AC for hot summer nights. Sleeping for our crowd of 14 included blow up mattresses and uncomfortable pull out couches, with challenging space in bedrooms. Harry Potter room was great fun for kiddos furnished and decorated beyond our expectations for Hogwarts enthusiasts! We enjoyed the large lawn for games including large fire pit area. Pontoon rental available only for length of stay, but do it ahead of stay, we missed out when requested at beginning of stay. Plan to pack your own toilet paper if you have a long stay or large group, as only one roll per bathroom is provided. Overall, we felt at home and thankful for Kati and family sharing their lakefront paradise!

absolutely wonderful

This house was simply amazing it was beautiful, clean, and had everything one could possibly need or wish they had for the perfect getaway. We come to Minnesota often as my daughter and son in law live in Minnesota with my two beautiful granddaughters. This is property has been added to the favorites list. My oldest granddaughter comes with us every time we come so she can see her cousins (she is 7) and wanted to know if we could stay permanently they had everything she could of dreamed of to entertain her that she did not get bored without having access to her own toys. the view was absolutely beautiful and all though it was still cold outside during our stay the enclosed porch ensured we could still enjoy the view.

We had a wonderful time as guests at your property. it was clear how much pride you take in your property and we noticed all of the little details that make your place so special. Great winter cabin experience

There were 10 of us at the cabin (4 adults, 3 tweens, and 3 kids). Each of the downstairs bedrooms has an extra twin mattress so a couple kids slept on those. The kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, drinkware, but could use a couple more mixing bowls. It also had a crockpot and a coffee maker. Between the peninsula and dining room table, there was enough space for all of us to eat. We brought our own four wheeler and snow tube, so were able to have fun on the frozen lake. The garage was full of stuff for the lake, inlcuding a popup ice house and skates but most of the stuff is for summer (understandably). This house would be great in the summer as it has a beach area, a boat dock, a paddleboat, a floating pad, and a couple kayaks. Lastly, the communication with the owner was great. We had a couple questions and Kati answered quickly and helpfully.

My house needs an update!

Loved the decor at the Peapod and after relaxing there for almost a week, I got home and thought, I need to update! It was soooo comfortable. Pat and Kati have done an excellent job of utilizing the space and with 6 adults and 4 children, we had room for all! Kati made us feel so welcomed. Go for it, rent this property!

Relaxing stay at the pea pod cabin

Perfect place for bigger families to get together. Paddle boards, kayak, swimming mat and beach toys were all in good shape. Also had a good variety of life jackets. This is the 3rd one we’ve stayed at and the best one overall so far.

Hello! I'm Kati, and welcome to our Peapod Cabin. We've named it after our family of 6 (or 8 if we are counting the animals). Pat & I met when we were 5 years old, dated shortly in the 5th grade :), and reconnected after high school. We got married in 2009. We enjoyed a number of kid-free years together before becoming foster parents and eventually adopting 4 amazing kids in 5 years. Our family means everything to us, which is why we created this space. We all worked on it together, the kids even helped pick out pieces for "their" rooms. This project has given us the chance to learn and grow as a family and we hope you love it here as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We chose this property/location because of our love for the area with previous family cabins. Pat's grandma owned a cabin in Annandale that brought our family so many precious memories and when that cabin was passed on we knew we needed to keep the memories alive in one of our favorite places.

What makes this property unique

One of our favorite things about this cabin is that we can walk right out of the living room and onto the beach. Our kids LOVE sand and water so this is our biggest perk.
