Quiet, Historic Church, Lancaster County, PA

Perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary or weekend getaway! This church takes you a step back in time. Built in 1862, it was fully remodeled in 2007, but the original stone walls still remain. Set on a quiet property surrounded by pine trees with a little graveyard in the backyard. Located near many Lancaster County attractions.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, keurig, mini fridge, pots, pans, utensils, and more! Coffee and tea is provided!

Sitting area. Come snuggle up on our oversize sofa in front of the gas fireplace.

Main Bedroom. Equipped with a queen size bed for you to rest and relax.

The bathroom. A spacious bathroom with a full size shower!

The loft. Climb the winding stairs to the loft. Furnished with two twin beds.

Very enjoyable stay.

Our stay at the Historic Church was very special. Having a piano was so nice as our friend played and we sang together. Not having a TV was also so enjoyable as we spent time chatting together rather than watching something. The whole place was very well appointed and had everything we needed. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Cozy retreat

We had been through this area before and already like the beautiful countryside. When we saw this listing it looked perfect and we were not disappointed! The owners paid attention to every little detail and the size was just right for the two of us. We really enjoyed our morning coffee in the patio area. We would love to come again sometime!

Highly Recommend

We appreciated the history and loving restoration of this unique structure. We loved the simple but perfect attention to every detail. Massive stone walls, a tiny library that is a perfect space to read or pray, a two-story entry /common space with fireplace, kitchen and couch, wide window sills, spotlessly clean and shining floors, walls, snd surfaces are just a few of the features you will find here. We highly recommend staying here whenever you are in the area. This was our second stay and we would definitely return.

Perfect Quiet Spot

We loved your house, it was so cozy and had everything we needed. We appreciated and loved the Godly sentiments throughout the house, and the fact that there was no TV. We spent more time talking which was so wonderful! Thank you and would definitely stay there again!

Very Cute and Lovely Property

This place was in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The hosts were very nice and helped us with all of our questions. The decorations were really pretty and we liked the cute theme of the house. We only got to stay one night but when we come back to the area in the future we would like to stay here again!

My wife and I were very impressed with our stay. Easy to find(we put Mt. Culmen Cottage in our GPS) The cottage was very clean, it was a little home away from home. It was so relaxing. We will definitely stay here again!!

Cozy Peacefulness

The Culman Cottage is a warm and welcoming home. Every amenity is thoughtfully met and exceeded. Although bitterly cold outside, the home was cozy and warm thanks to the fireplace. My husband and I truly had the opportunity to leave the demands of our daily lives behind and reconnect. A must for all couples! Go and enjoy the tranquility!

My wife and I had a wonderful overnight stay in this beautiful historic cottage. Perfectly appointed with all the amenities needed to simply turn off the stress of the world. We really enjoyed our stay and will gladly return.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is perfect as a getaway with friends or for a romantic getaway

I would recommend this wonderful place. I would give everything about this experience a 10+. The next time we come to the Landcaster area I hope this place is available to rent again.

Delightful despite Ian

We stayed here as the remnants of Hurricane Ian drenched the area and changed some of our plans. But staying at this charming-church-turned-cottage, we had a wonderful, relaxing time away--enjoying the comfy sofa in front of the fireplace, lots of amenities and a beautiful setting. Will definitely plan to return!

Best Retreat Ever!

My sister and I have been taking long weekend retreats for over 25 years. We both agree this was our best weekend ever! We look for peace and quiet, comfort and convenience. We experienced it all at the Mt. Culmen Cottage. No WiFi. No TV. No problem. Go there to unwind and regroup. You won't be sorry.

Superlative property and experience

This is a great rental. Located in the heart of Amish country, extremely peaceful and immaculate. It is well appointed, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Janae was a great host, with any inquiries promptly addressed. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
