The atrium includes a heated eight-foot-deep pool that is available year-round, along with a hot tub and a stone wall. Sit by the wood-burning fireplace, or sip a drink at the table. Fire up the built-in gas grill. Dine alfresco at one of two outdoor tables. Relax by the wood-burning firepit in the wooded backyard. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to hiking, biking, and fishing - with direct access to over two miles of groomed trails. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, or camping along the riverfront. Dine and shop along Main Street in Chimney Rock. Drive about six miles to wander trails or hit the links at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure. Picturesque Lake Lure is a dream destination for nature lovers. Chimney Rock is five miles from your door, and Lake Lure Adventure Company offers boat rentals within a nine-mile drive. Lake Lure Rental Boats offer weekly, daily, and half-day rentals as well as discounts for Pinnacle Vacasa stays.

The great room features vaulted ceilings, a smart TV with a soundbar, and a gas fireplace. Warm tones and wood beams add ambience. Enjoy indoor/outdoor living in the screened sunroom. Two ultra-private rooms, including the bunk room with a TV, are free of windows, promising a peaceful night of sleep.

Perfect!

This is the perfect house if you want to get away and relax ! We had a big group and the bottom floor with its own kitchen was perfect for the younger kids! It was everything we hoped and more. We would definitely book this one again !

Lived up to billing

Reading all the previous comments about this house we were eagerly looking forward to our visit. A group of 11 were blown away by the property. Immaculately cleaned, beautifully furnished, the river, and of course, the amazing pool solarium all added to a fantastic vacation. We have no negative comments about the property other than the WiFi which is totally understandable due to the house being so remote. It will definitely be hard to beat this house in the future. We would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone.

Spectacular pool and privacy!

My husband & I spent 5 days at this property and had an amazing time. It was a lot of house for two people but we enjoyed the privacy. The pool is amazing! We also enjoyed all the outdoor seating on the porches. We like to hike so exploring the 360+ acres was great. Although we didn't even scratch the surface. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. We would love to go back again.

Mom's 80th Birthday and Mother's Day Celebration

Overall, very nice house and great weekend. Had an electricity issue when we first arrived, but got that resolved within an hour. However, fuse box should not be in a locked closet as our issue was a tripped circuit breaker.

Truly a hidden cove

This is a magical home. Beautifully decorated and built. The indoor pool is not only an amenity but also a work of art. The home is off the grid but still has decent WiFi, might be a tad sketchy and not support heavy streaming but still had plenty of connection. I was more interested in connecting with nature. There’s a ton of hiking, kayaking, swimming, and basketball to keep one entertained. The home was very clean and large grounds impressively maintained. The home also had games, ping pong table, and a pool table. The home has good fully functional kitchens. But if you do want to eat out, eat local in Rutherfordton. Such as the copper penny grill. We also went disc golfing at Christian camp. Zip lining at The Gorge. Lake Lure is only 20 minutes and very beautiful but go to Rutherfordton for restaurants. We hope to visit again and bring our family. We very much appreciate the homeowners for sharing.

Family Get Together

This was an amazing place to gather our family for a late Christmas celebration. Family came from as far away as California and as close as Fairview. We had so much fun swimming, hiking, playing basketball and pool. The indoor pool was spectacular and very comfortable, even in February! We all decided it would be fun to come back in the spring or fall.

The home was what I’ve imagined as my dream home.

Two days wasn’t enough time to enjoy the entire home. The house is spacious and beautiful. The inside heated pool/waterfall, balconies with fireplaces, and being secluded by nature was everyone’s favorite part of our stay. The river/creek was amazing, but we didn’t have enough time to experience the outdoors as much as I would’ve liked to. This is now my favorite location-best rental I’ve ever stayed at!

Simply Amazing!

Wonderful place to stay. Loved the indoor pool with waterfall. Very spacious. Plenty of room for everyone. Only sacrifice was giving up cell phone coverage and having patchy internet service for the privacy and seclusion. Our family enjoyed our time very much. Thank you.

This place is out of a movie

It’s obviously was built buy someone that planned to use it. The pool is obviously one part that makes this place stand out but there are so many great outdoor seating areas and porches. The river is right there and we kayaked two days, shallow water in places but a fun time. The only thing I think is missing is a larger table to accommodate the size of a crowd the house can. We made due with the seats at the island and wasn’t a big deal. The pool table, ping pong and foosball ad to the lack of need to leave. We will be going back!

Beautiful home with plenty of room. Everything you need is right there. Two full kitchens and laundry rooms. The indoor pool and hot tub were amazing.Very private a mile from the highway. We highly recommend this place for a large family or group.

50th anniversary celebration

12 of us total stayed here - we were all delighted by the house itself, the pool, the landscape, the river, the rural privacy. It was was beautiful! The only reason we gave "cleanliness" a 4/5 was there were dead bugs and cobwebs EVERYWHERE around and on the outdoor seating areas, (wasp nests too!), and dirty sheets in one of the bedrooms. We just tossed those in the wash, and tried to wipe down the seating areas and all was well! Would definitely come back.

Family vacation

Great time by all

Every summer we take a family trip involving three generations. This was our first time renting a home to do so. We had a great time at this property. The indoor swimming pool was wonderful. Plenty of spaces for individual quiet time but also for family gathering. We would highly recommend this location.

Beautiful house and location

Wonderful place for spending family time. The house offers amenities for entertaining adults and kids. The kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans, dishes, etc. that satisfied the cooks in our family...from grilled burgers to gourmet pizzas and seafood gumbo. We did plan for each meal/dish so no need to leave during out stay. Plan for limited cell phone access. Not a problem if your goal is to get away (that was our plan). My favorites: 1. The sun room off the main living area. Temps ranged from 20's in the morning to 50's afternoon. The sun warmed the sun room, we opened windows for cool, fresh air during the day and had a warm fire at night. 2. The river runs beside the house. I loved sitting in the rockers on front porch listening to the water and short walks along the river. Such a relaxing, fun family trip. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

Great House

We loved the house, pool, and grounds. However, the hot tub was in need of service as it was yellow and foamy so we were unable to use. Upon arrival there was trash still in the trash cans and the floors were very dirty. The main kitchen should have been stocked better with dishes, pots/pans, and cooking utensils. The house is far away from the grocery and restaurants so cooking is very important and the kitchen should reflect that. Other than that it was a nice relaxing stay.

Beautiful home but it is isolated.

No real complaints about the home, it is beautiful! Great pool area, plenty of places to relax, kitchen is awesome and stocked with plenty of pots/dishes, etc. We noticed fruit flies and the management company responded in a timely manner with bait traps. The only real issue is that the home phones didn't work and unable to call out on any of our cell phones ( Verizon). We almost had a 911 issue which caused some concern but thankfully we ended up not needing it. There was basically no cell service the entire week we were there and the internet was pretty much nonexistent.

You wont want to leave!

This was amazing! A great place to gather with a group of friends we dont get to see enough of! The 2 kitchens were so convenient and well appointed. We made many a fine meal here. There was so much room, and so many sitting areas it was easy to have privacy to read a book or for solitude. We had one couple who ate dinner at a different table every night! The fishermen in our group were happy with the river at the house and the many local waterways! A couple wildlife photographers found the balcony an excellent place to photograph birds in the canopy of the trees! We had ping pong and cornhole tournaments, and rested our bones in the hot tub. The pool was so much fun, and the waterfall was amazing!. The owners provided linens that were soft and the beds were comfortable. Towels were also provided for the pool and bathrooms. Internet was hit or miss, but we didnt care, as no one had to work while there. This vacation was one of the best ever. You will not regret renting this home!
