Tiny Spa Cottage Retreat

Our newly remodeled industrial/ farmhouse style tiny cottage offers a stress free tranquil retreat in the heart of Alden , NY, the original location of the Historic Black Water Baths. Our tiny 256 square ft. cottage is perfect getaway for 2. It's still comfortable for 4 if traveling with children. The additional space in the lofted area has a full size futon mattress.
Your hosts own a spa and wellness center across the street that allows you to enhance your stay with a variety of unique spa retreat experiences to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, a girls get away, or just a quiet night alone for self care away from your busy life. Indulge yourself in spa services such as Massage, Facials, Body Scrubs, Lashes, Sugaring & Infared Sauna, all provided by Escential Care Spa & Wellness located directly across the street in a beautiful historical Victorian home setting.
Your hosts are on site to assist you during your stay with any additional amenities or needs you may have. Additional amenities include use of Washer/dryer, and spacious accessible parking.
Our unique town is host to many home-town amenities such as a Park, Walking Trails, Local shops, & Restaurants all in walking distance. Alden NY is located 28 miles East of Buffalo NY (BUF) & 58 miles South of Rochester NY (ROC). Less than an hour away from the majestic Niagara Falls NY & Canada. Also within an hour you'll find Letchworth State Park, Six Flags Darien Lake Amusement Park, Kissing Bridge & Holiday Valley Ski Resorts, Canalside, Buffalo Botanical Gardens, Albright-Knox as well as our Sports teams and many Music Venues.

Convenience and comfort

We had a wonderful stay at the tiny cottage while visiting family in the area. The accommodations were clean and comfortable for me and two kids ages 10 and 8. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast in the morning (didn’t cook other meals) and found the layout and organization of the tiny space very easy for us to maneuver. The place is clean and thoughtfully designed. It was a very hot week and the kids were still comfortable in the loft with the additional fan. We are grateful to have found this place, making our visits much easier!

Adorable cottage

We stayed two nights in this sweet cottage. Drove to Niagara and then came back and stumbled upon a little local rodeo. The town of Alden and the cottage was perfect for our little family of four!

Great little house!

Little cozy cabin

Theresa has created the perfect little oasis in the charming town of Alden. The property was immaculate, warm, and very tastefully decorated. She even added little details like battery, operated candles. The appliances were all modern. The shower was magnificent. I only used the bed on the main floor, but it was extremely comfortable. It is conveniently only about 40 to 45 minutes from Niagara Falls. I would absolutely stay again, plus I will make sure that I leave enough time in my schedule to schedule a massage and or facial at the beautiful wellness center across the street. I have already discussed it with one of my friends that we should make a girls weekend getaway!

A welcoming comfy overnight

An overnight stay visiting our son and family in Alden. We recommend this VRBO. Good communication by owner regarding our stay; all we needed to know from arrival to departure. Comfortable, clean, lovely updated accommodations…spa like, relaxing, good location…. walking distance to diner, bakery, candy shoppe, pharmacy, nice amenity…..Keurig coffee & tea, toaster, dishes, towels, hair drier, etc. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you Theresa!!

Love this little cottage!

This was our second stay at Theresa’s cottage. We just love how cute and homey it feels. Theresa is a great host and was able to accommodate our need to drop our belongings off early. It was super comfortable and a great place to stay after a long day out in the cold. Would definitely recommend Theresa’s place and we’re looking forward to visiting it again in the future!

Super safe area and convenient!

Comfy bed and heating cooling unit was wonderful … nice and even. Instant on hot water! The bed was a permanent queen size bed… no fold up!! Loved the remote control pillar candles everywhere!! Used one in the bathroom for the perfect nightlight!

Buffalo weekend

The property was perfect for us. My husband , adult daughter, and I came for a Buffalo Bills game. The property was attractive , clean, very well done! It had a full kitchen where we made breakfast on game day. We had a great stay!

Perfect little get away

Easy check-in, great communication! This could not have been a cuter little place! Great, quiet little town. We were able to visit the cafe just a few minutes walk to the center of a cute town! The coffee was a hit and delish, the cookies were top notch, breakfast sandwiches and scones really hit the morning hunger spot! When we retrun for a weekend soccer event we will be sure to stay here again!

Cute and practical

Husband and I drove up from nj for a concert. Stayed the weekend. Very small space. Tighter than we anticipated, but was good for just the two of us. The kitchen soap pump didn’t work well and the bathroom hand soap was almost empty. Crumbs on table and counter from previous guests. Found some blonde hairs (we are not blonde) in both of the beds, so we lint rolled them before getting in. But otherwise, was fine.

Well apointed little cottage

Great cottage right near Darien lake. Alden is charming and even had an art festival while we were there. Well apointed and very comfortable. Will definitely be back.

So cute, so relaxing!

We had a whirlwind stay of going to two weddings in one weekend. And we only stayed one night but this house is truly the reason we didn’t feel entirely dead after the weekend. The vibes and comfort of this house is unreal. We slept for 12 hours straight in that bed, it was so comfy. Theresa is kind and so accommodating. We truly plan on coming back to stay for a longer period and go to the spa. Alden is also a very cute town.

Cozy, cute and just right.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was just enough space for myself and my mom; the two separate sleeping areas were perfect for us. Its proximity to where I needed to be for the week was within walking distance, which added the extra benefit for me choosing this Cottage We would definitely stay there again.

Great goodies and drinks

Ultra clean, looked like we were the first renters everything was in such perfect condition. Loved the candy, snacks, great teas, and coffee. Loved the circuler shower and all the cute decoratve touches. Liked the high loft with the high ceiling.
