About this property

18th Century Cabin Retreat

Come enjoy our 18th century cabin! They don't make them like this anymore. One side built in 1750, the other in 1825. Sit under the giant white oak and enjoy the country air. This is a wonderful retreat to kick back and relax. Enjoy the pool, horseshoes, cornhole, fire pit and bocce ball! In the winter months, cozy up by the wood stove or fire place with gas logs.
NO PETS!!! Please do not bring your pets.
Owners live on site, so if you are in need of anything, please ask!
The space
There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds up stairs. The bedroom down stairs has full bed and twin trundle.
Pool season May 1st - October 15
Pool is not heated
Use of wood stove & gas logs only permitted November-April (indoor burning/heating)
For the winter months, there is a wood stove on one side, and gas logs in the other. There is also electric baseboard heat in each room.
Guest access
You’ll have the entire cabin to yourself. During pool season, the pool is exclusively for our guests staying in the cabin. Feel free to stroll the pastures and woods. There are almost 60 acres to explore.
Other things to note
This is not a party house. Any parties of any kind will be shut down and guests will be asked to leave. We live on site. This is a relaxation station. We do not rent to guests under 25 years old. If you’re seeking a party pad where you can have a loud party with 15+ people, this is not the stay you’re looking for.

This unique cabin comes with a couple quirks. For taller guests, please be aware that there are a few doorways that are short! Please duck and use caution.
The stair cases up to each bedroom are equipped with heavy duty hand rails. Please use them! These are the original stair cases. Please pay attention when using them. If a potential guest has difficulty using stairs, there are sleeping accommodations on the first floor.
Please do not move furniture/decor items to other rooms!
We are in the country! Along with being in the country comes critters. Some have feathers, others have fur. Some have scales and aren’t so cute and cuddly. Some may steal your garbage if it’s not stored properly. These critters all have a purpose here and call this place home. Please do not harm our wildlife. Your host is happy to handle any wildlife concerns for you.

Most importantly, unplug, relax, and have fun!

Listing pictures may slightly differ, as I am always renovating/updating the cabin rooms and furniture. Owners live on site in close proximity to cabin.if you need anything during your stay, please ask!

A Little Slice of Heaven
Everything about this property is exceptional! The cabin is clean, well appointed, cozy, and inviting, the country setting is magical, and the host is absolutely wonderful! I don't think I have ever been to a place that made me feel so relaxed. It was a wonderful spot for a family retreat and we look forward to staying there again. Thank you Summer for a very memorable experience!
