About this property

Come relax on the San Bernard River. This spacious one bedroom barndominium is set on a prime section of the river. Bring your boat or pwc and enjoy some water sports. Nice spot for wakeboarding, wakesurfing, tubing and skiing. 80' of waterfrontage with large boat dock for docking your boat. Also, a floating dock for you personal watercraft. Enjoy the hot tub after a long day on the water if you desire. Back patio has a gas grill and a large smoker for your cooking needs. . A 65” smart tv in the living room. Fiber internet. Stream Netflix, YouTube, etc. High speed fiber optics WiFi through out. Queen bed (w/memory foam topper) in the bedroom and a 42" tv with DVD player. An Lg all in one washing machine let’s you wash and dry your clothes in one load. One sectional, two couches, a queen bed and queen air mattress (if needed) in the living room. Sleeps 6 comfortably.

Fishing trip!

We enjoyed every bit of our stay! Never hooked a alligator gar fish that was very exciting! Even my husband being on a scooter we thought would be a challenge! But he was able to get to the pier to enjoy fishing also!!

Weekend Get Away

It was nice to go out paddleboarding... as the location was remote we brought groceries and made meals. The kitchen utensils need some support. The Grill was an absolute fire hazard. It's so rusted out it was impossible to keep the coals from falling out the bottom. We enjoyed the time away as a couple and it was a great spot for our Dog to play/ swim as well.

Great staycation!

Second time staying there. It’s a great place to just get away from the chaos of the city and relax with a huge window to watch the river in the comfort of the ac and bug free 😁. Great host, very easy to access and communicate with. Will definitely be back!!

Nice little home away from home!

Had an awesome time! Fishing, boating, and/or swimming just a few steps away. Quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay again. Justin was also very responsive and accommodating. Definitely recommend!

Perfect Girls Weekend!

Took some gal pals out to this place for a weekend of relaxation and recuperation. This house was perfect. Justin does a great job of making you feel like your at a home away from home. Well stocked kitchen, comfy places to sit, inside and out, awesome hot tub, pretty view of the river, just perfect all around! We will definitely go back.

Just, what we were looking for

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place where we could relax. We found it. Justin (owner) was very prompt with every question I had. We fished every evening, it was peaceful and beautiful on the private dock. We caught catfish , croaker, gar, drum and gaff top. Over 3 nights the total fish count was 10. We grilled 2 nights, and used the hot tub every day. Our bed was very comfortable, as was the large sofa for relaxing to watch some tv, and the large roll up doors gave us a great view of the water. We were visited by “Lobo” the sweet neighborhood dog, every day, he would just set on the dock with us for a while then get back to his roaming😊 I’m so glad we found this place, we will be back! Also... “burnt biscuit” was a great place for breakfast and lunch.

Relaxing

Nice place! It was so relaxing. Even though it rained everyday, we were able to catch lots of fish off the dock. Neighborhood dog came to visit each day. Recommend for a relaxing get away!!

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is a great home. The river is always fun and the beach is only 20 min away. The property manager is very nice and helpful.

Jumping with Fish!

This little place was great. The kids loved fishing off the docks and watching the barges pass through. Some of us even caught our FIRST fish ever! The river was so active with jumping fish. The only downside were the bugs. We loved opening the big doors, but the bugs were everywhere inside. We tried some citronella candles to repel them, but no luck. Mostly June bugs and may flies. There was an old dog that chilled at the house with us. The kids gave him a temporary name, "Pathfinder". He was a good dog, very laid back. Justin was very friendly, communicative and responded promptly to text and phone calls.

Great place!

We had a great time, our son loves watching the tugboats and the barges go up and down the river. His mother loved relaxing in the hot tub. We are considering renting it again for a future trip.

Great place to stay!

Overall our stay was very enjoyable. Upon arrival to the town we stopped at a really nice park filled with many walking trails, small piers, and a great play set our four kids enjoyed. Our first night at the rental we enjoyed the hot tub which was perfect of our late November trip. Very much relaxing. Unfortunately during our stay it was raining cats and dogs so we were unable to fish off the dock. Board games would have been nice for wet days like this spent inside. Despite that, Everything was perfect for our short stay and the rental was very clean, the only thing the rental lacked was oven cookware for baking/cooking and cutting boards. Owner was incredibly helpful and had great communication! My absolute favorite part would be the doors bringing the outside in. GREAT feature! Very much enjoyed our time and hope to be back!

Amazing getaway

This place was excellent for getting away from the craziness of the city. Justin was super helpful and communicative with any questions that I had. Everything was clean and worked great. Kayaking on the river was amazing as well. I'll definitely be coming back

Lovely quiet getaway!

Place was accurately pictured, comfy and cozy. Incredibly quiet and the neighbors are friendly. Had everything we needed. Owner was incredibly responsive and even allowed us to make a few last minute adjustments - extend our stay, add an additional guest + dog - with zero hassles. Grocery stores are a quick drive away. We’ll definitely be back again. Thanks Justin!

Why they chose this property

Ive been coming to this river since I was a litte kid with my parents. Once I got older, we decided this was the place to be. The lot sits in the neighborhood, Riverwood Estates, on the smooth part of the river where the water is nice and the perfect conditions exist for water sports. The country setting on the river bend provides a relaxing time.
