Peaceful paradise

If you want peace and quiet, beautiful views from enormous sunroom, comfy beds, lovely cottage with fire pit and a grill for your dinner needs… come here. You won’t regret it. The photos don’t do it justice.

Cute cottage on the bay

We overall enjoyed our stay. It was a bit chilly as it only has a couple of electric heaters but it was okay. Pretty comfortable overall. Could use a few more kitchen utensils and better knives but it worked for a couple of days.

Wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this nice cottage in the perfect location on Port Bay. The expansive sun room provided lots of space for a variety of activities. We loved drinking our coffee in the morning while enjoying the views of the bay. The only recommendations we have is to place trash baskets in the bedrooms and bathroom not just the kitchen. The kitchen was lacking in mixing bowls and storage containers. A larger trash can in the storage shed and a recycling bin would be a plus too. The entry door into the sunroom does not open well so a quick fix to that is needed. Other than those few small tweaks this was a wonderful place to vacation and we will be back for sure. Thanks for your hospitality!

Perfect waterfront getaway

Cute quiet peninsula on port bay. Easy to launch our boat at the local marina and dock at the property. A nice chunk of yard space for the kids to play as well. Would definitely return again!

Cozy stay

We appreciated the lake view in this cute and cozy cottage, we enjoyed eating most of our meals in the sun room overlooking the lake, watching the ducks and swans frolicking. We had everything we needed. The bedroom we chose had a very firm mattress and a space heater to keep us toasty. We made great memories and enjoyed our visit.

Perfect getaway

Trip down memory lane

The property and setting was perfect and relaxing. The cottage was clean and access was easy. My summers growing up were on this bay, so it was nice to walk the area and the family cottage was literally across the bay. A little disappointed that the water levels were low and the weeds near the dock were heavy, but I remember that usually being an issue. Over all a great stay and beautiful sites to see.

If you want peace & quiet in a very relaxing environment I would highly recommend this quaint, cozy, well maintained cottage. The owners are attentive & reply quickly with any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing and Comfortable

My family love staying here. We used the spacious sunroom to watch the sunrise and the dock was great for the kids when they were swimming or fishing. We all enjoyed using the kayaks that were provided. Thanks again for allowing us to stay and we hope to stay again real soon.

One of the best places I’ve stayed.

I absolutely adored this cottage. It’s a country setting. Quiet neighbors. And absolutely a beautiful during sunset and sunrise. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, a small bonfire, and hanging out in the 4 seasons room. We didn’t get to take out the kayaks but we will be returning to use them next time! The hosts are amazing and made sure we were well taken care of. Already in the process of planning our next trip here this year!

Charming with quirks

We enjoyed the property size, views and location. No working outdoor faucet to rinse off the kayaks or fill a children's pool. (swimming was out of the question with algae build up off the dock) We fortunately had a good neighbor next door lend us his hose. We also wished we knew that a sunk boat lift was protruding out of the water by the dock., it was dangerous for any swimming. The grill was rusted out and difficult to use because of flare ups. Could also use a extra window A/c unit in the kitchen/ living room, the cabin got very hot on some of the days.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at this property! It was very spacious with a large yard. We made so much use of the large 3 season room. It was great having access to the kayaks. It is a beautiful area and very peaceful. It was a great week with family!

Great location, but cottage not very clean

Owners were super about communicating, location is just beautiful and cottage itself very nice. We were just really disappointed with cleanliness of the cottage. There was literally mold and moss growing in windowsills of porch (and I do understand lake cottages have there challenges - but these had not been cleaned in months - maybe years!). Tremendous about of dust and cobwebs on all ceiling fans and lamps. There were kayaks available, which was really convenient and they were in good shape, but we spent quite a while cleaning the inside of them before we could use them. Dock was full of geese poop upon - but there was a hose nearby, so clean up would have been easy before guests arrive. Overall - quiet, peaceful location, amazing views from porch, but spent the better part of first two days cleaning. To whomever arrives after us...we hope you enjoy your stay and I can promise the cottage is 100 times cleaner than when we arrived.

Port Bay Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location was great. The entire area is very nice and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. The owner went out of his way to help us with anything that we needed which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing waterfront getaway.

Great Fishing Tip

Property was just as described. Water is still low but the dock was out far enough for our bass boats. The bay fishing was excellent. Will return for sure.
