Perfect weekend getaway

Came in to see Midland play at Floores in Helotes. Given the location, I was concerned about getting an Uber but had no issues. The house was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, although it was still too cool to get in the pool. Lots of amenities and very clean. Highly recommend!

Nice and cozy place for an anniversary getaway. Everything a couple needs. Great outdoor space, we're sure, when it isnt 40 degrees outside! We would have loved to use the pool! Hanging out at the pool house was so fun!

Romantic Getaway Cottage

The cottage has everything you need for a romantic getaway. You can sit in the hot tub and relax while watching the stars. The pool area has a cabana complete with a outdoor kitchen and there's a fire pit at the opposite end of the pool. Its off the beaten path yet not to far from town and restaurants. We had a great time, wod definitely stay there again.

A Hidden Paradise!

Perfect getaway

We have never been to San Antonio and wanted to get a real feel experience, rather than a tourist vacation in the city. This location was perfect, 40 minute drive to the city and 15 minutes from Helotes, the cutest town!! The property is beautiful and very remote, which is just what we wanted. All the amenities we needed were available and more. It felt like our own private resort. Pool, hot tub, steam room, quaint cabin. We loved it. The owners were so friendly and had provided the best recommendations for places to eat. We felt right at home.

Wonderful Stay

The Guest Cabin is perfect for a couple. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided. The bath tub is huge and for a shower just pull firmly on the knob. Dish and indoor electric fireplace were nice. Right outside the door on the front porch is a gas fire pit, gas grill, and a great hot tub. We used each of these several times and they really made a difference in our stay. But wait, there is more! The pool area and the pool cabana with full kitchen and big gas fire place became our home away from guest cabin. Really is a fabulous area and so beautiful at night with the pool lights on. Also by the pool a large gas glass fire pit, charcoal grill, wood slow smoker. Thank you Tony and Tamra for a wonderful stay! We will be back for sure! Oh, the Christmas decorations were great! The location was simply amazing. It made you feel like you were at a resort,and not in TX. It was very clean, quite, and very relaxing. And it allowed you to really enjoy your time with you spouse. We will definitely be back

Cozy and quiet getaway

This was a great place to get away and relax. The pool was nice with a pretty waterfall. There are lounge chairs by the pool, a kitchen in the pool house, games, and lots of shade.

A little bit of paradise in hill country

Close to enough Bourne and San Antonio to make dining out easy. Far enough away to feel like a real getaway. Beautiful pool, clean hot tub, and sweet cabin. Communication with owners was easy and quick.

The only thing I would say is there were so many leaves in the pool but all in all we both had a very relaxing weekend it was very quiet. Close to San Antonio.

Hill Country Fun

My husband and I enjoyed our trip and stay at this Hill Country getaway. We stayed in the charming yellow cottage which is perfect for two. The hot tub and fire pit were wonderful and enjoyed every night after golfing Tapatio Springs, visiting different wineries or cookout on the grill. The pool is really pretty nestled down among surrounding trees and the sound of the waterfall relaxing. We enjoyed Tony very much and his attention to keeping the hot tub and pool in great condition...he has a delightful personality. The bath towels were great! The notebook in the cottage had some good tips...definitely eat at El Chapperal Mexican in Helots as it is wonderful...loved the Chile Rellano. Fun day trips to Gruene, New Braunfels, Boerne and Comfort. A few things that could have gotten a five star: The patio furniture around the pool needs painting, all the cushions are worn, faded and torn on some and need updating. The pool floats are old and worn as well. The cottage needed a little more detail to dusting of furniture/nick nacks and floor cleaning. The tub did not drain well during showering. A full size bottle of dish liquid, Pam spray and ground cooking spices (garlic, cinnamon, Italian seasoning, and steak rub) would be an inexpensive addition. It was an enjoyble stay!

Absolutely what we needed

The owners are amazing and extremely accommodating. They’ve really thought of everything. It was like going to a spa, resort and cabin in the woods, all in one weekend. Nearby you can grab some food to cook from Schotts mead market and never have to leave for a gourmet meal and spa evening. I almost hate to rave on and givs awat our new found secret get away but everyone needs to know how amazing this place really is. Enjoy!

We have been renting out our two vacation rentals since 2013 to supplement our retirement and fund our own travel. We find inspiration for our property by incorporating things we love from our own vacation travels in order to make this a true vacation getaway.

Why they chose this property

We continue to improve this property. We love that it is so close to the attractions in San Antonio and Boerne and yet still feel as though you are a million miles away.

What makes this property unique

It is very quite and relaxing here. The property feels like a resort without the resort crowds. You don’t have to get up early to reserve your chair by the pool or pay extra to get a shaded poolside cabana. Our hot tubs are incredibly nice for a rental property and are not like most public hot tubs that you find at hotels….and the steam room just puts it over the top.
