Gem in Wiscasset, ME
This historic house was funky, fun and comfortable. My family of 7 (5 adults, 1 teenager, 1 infant) very much enjoyed our stay. The house reminded us of our historic family homestead in RI. Great gathering spaces, including porch w beautiful view of the water and sunrise, living room, dining room/kitchen, sun room. Three stories - Family areas are on main level; two queen-size bed bedrooms with jack/jill bathroom on second floor; two bedrooms (1 w Queen-size bed, 1 with 2 twin beds) and shared bathroom on third floor. Stairs between 2nd and 3rd floors VERY steep. A separate apartment w its own staircase and queen-size bed bedroom is available on the second floor. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were spacious. Kitchen was funky with 3 separate areas: area 1- sink, dishwasher, coffee pot, plateware; area 2 - dining area w table, stove/oven, pots/pans, drinkware, glassware, silverware; area 3 - refrig/freezer. Kitchen areas were a bit challenging at times but lots of character and easy to adjust to. Great location - family wedding at Marianmade farm, cute town of Wiscasset, 2.5 hours from Acadia NP, 20 min from Boothbay, 1 hour from Portland airport, 2.5 hours from Logan airport. Beth (host) was great at communicating and easy to work with. We would stay here again if in this area.

Six of us had a wonderful time in this beautiful 1803 home. Plenty of room for all of us. Well furnished and very convenient to Rt. 1 and surrounding towns and activities. Beth and Jack should be very proud of their home. So glad we were able to stay there. Would do it again in a minute.

Everything was as advertised and a very beautiful place. We loved having our whole family there for the week. The house is on a large property and we loved the pond, the flowers, and the views!

Living History in a Great Location
This is a really neat house with a lot of history, as described by the owner. The house is beautiful and comfortable and accommodated my large family, including my grown kids and their spouses and of course grandma. Check in and access was simple with the owners sending guidance by text before our arrival. The kitchen is stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, cups, and silverware as well as pots and pans and other common cooking utensils, plus a grill out back. Also conveniently provided was plenty of the smaller necessities like paper towels and sundries. The house does not have air conditioning, but there are fans in each room and nighttime sleeping temperatures were comfortable. The views from the house are unbeatable, especially from the front porch swing overlooking the water, which can also be enjoyed from the private dock, where you can watch more than a few harbor seals popping up here and there. To summarize- it's a really neat house in a beautiful peaceful setting and I would stay here again.

Great location
We enjoyed the location of this house. The dock, seals, and walk to the fort were very nice. We spent quite a bit of time in Booth Bay, and this house was a short drive away. The description of the beds on the 3rd floor was not accurate in the listing, but the house was clean and perfect for our needs.

Awesome week in Maine
This property fit our family perfectly. We had four adult children and plenty of room for all. Tha views alone were worth everything. The fireflies were so fun every night. The location worked for visiting family and exploring.

Family vacation
A beautiful historic home in an ideal location -- walkable to town -- enjoyed sitting on the dock. Need to bring child proofing for babies and toddlers as the historic railings are low. Would go there again!

Great Family Vacation House
We took our extended family for a wonderful week in mid-coast main. The house is centrally located to see lots of attractions. The 5 bedrooms are well suited to an extended family vacation with lots of bathrooms in close proximity to the bedrooms. The kitchen table comfortably seats 9+ people, and multiple fridges helps with a big gathering too. The dock and porch are wonderful spots to sit and watch the world go by, while the pond in the back provides waterfowl entertainment. The dock is also a great place to launch a kayak to explore the tidal river. Wonderful property, highly recommended.

A true Maine getaway!
We had a multi generational family gathering and the house worked perfectly! Between games of monopoly, croquet and fishing on the dock, we all found something to do. We took trips to Boothbay Harbor, Pemaquid Lighthouse, Damariscotta - and the house was perfectly sited for each excursion. On our final full day we were all brave enough to jump in the river!

Gorgeous view
The Moses David House is such a gem! The view from the front porch is stunning, the dock is such a peaceful place to sit and read and the location is a great place to explore the mid coast. The house itself is very spacious and charming. It was also extremely clean. We will definitely be back!!

We love the ocean and boating. We have 2 grown children who share our love of the ocean and older homes. We are a teacher and a geologist by trade and enjoy renovating older homes. We have a yellow lab who visits with us when we are at the house.

Why they chose this property

This is our dream water front home with a deepwater dock. It is large enough for family to all be there at the same time.
