What you seek is here - relaxed pace, fresh air and temperate climate, red country roads and endless shores, outdoor recreation opportunities, fresh seafood and farm-gate fare, artisans, music and song, dance and theatre.

If you are a couple, two friends, or an independent traveller on this Island, our McKfolly Studio Loft is where you’ll want to stay. Enjoy the polished style and creature comforts we offer while experiencing PEI's superb coastal life.

The McKfolly Studio Loft is a great place for one or two people to rest, have peace and quiet, to do creative work, explore nature and enjoy outdoor activities, or to seek out the Island's artisans, entertainment and dining venues. The daytime and moonlit views of the Bay, and starry night time skies, are outstanding from the loft and grounds. Situated waterside on the south shore of St. Peters Bay, there is on-site launching for your canoe or kayak, shore walking/combing and bird watching. (Note: on-site swimming is feasible but not ideal - shallow water, pebbly bottom. Outstanding white sand beaches suitable for swimming are just ten minutes away.) The rolled stone-dust Confederation Trail for walking, running or cycling, and birding, is at the top of the driveway. PEI National Park - Greenwich site, our superb North shore gulf and bay beaches, top-rated golf courses, and the retail services and entertainment you will want for pleasure and comfort are just minutes away.

When you stay at McKfolly, your independence and privacy is as important as ours. The loft accommodation is completely separate from our cottage home - we are nearby but far enough away. If you have questions or there's something you need in a pinch - we are available. We're happy to share whatever knowledge we have to make your stay all you want it to be. But above all, this is your holiday - your way.

Accommodations

• Built in 2012-13, this private second floor studio loft is in a separate building, completely independent from the Owner's home on the property.
• Accommodation has its own exterior stair access, with generous screened ground floor porch, open upper deck and landscaped grounds from which to enjoy the spectacular views.
• 50 m2 (540 sf) open plan, central air-conditioned space provides a living/dining/kitchen area, separate sleeping alcove for one or two people in (your choice) king or twin beds and a large bath/dressing room with generous walk-in shower, laundry (clothes washer and dryer, iron and board). Bed linens and bath towels are provided.
• Kitchen is fully equipped with premium stainless steel top mount refrigerator/bottom mount freezer, single dishwasher drawer, electric cook top and combination convection/microwave oven, along with an array of small appliances, cooking utensils, dish ware, cutlery and kitchen/dining linens.
• Wall-mount electric fireplace, as well as 81cm (32') flat screen TV with HD satellite service and Chromecast can be enjoyed from both the living and sleeping areas.
• Included land-line (use your own long distance telephone card or cell), Starlink high-speed wireless internet and a Bluetooth clock-radio-audio unit for iPod, iPhone, iPad and other blue-tooth enabled devices will meet your communication and media needs.
• Exterior furnishings include 2 porch chairs and side tables, 2 deck chairs and bench; and an electric BBQ. There is secure, weatherproof storage for bicycles, kayaks and golf clubs in the garage.
• Basic supplies are included: salt, pepper & olive oil for food preparation; kitchen, bath and laundry cleaning products; kitchen and bath paper products.
• McKfolly is smoke free, drug free and pet free accommodation.

Please note:
The property is available during the months of July and August, week to week (7 nights minimum) or multiples thereof, with arrivals and departures on Saturdays.
The property is not available September through June.

Wonderful stay in PEI

I had a wonderful stay in PEI, the loft is superb and an ideal location to stay. It could not be better located for the bike trails, a quiet beach isn't far by car, supermarkets and gas station are also close by. The loft is spotlessly clean, very well kept and every need has been taken care of by super friendly owners. Highly recommended, don't miss this one!

A peaceful vacation location

I enjoyed my week at John and Bev's studio loft. Everything one would possibly need was in this intimate space. The studio was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The location is peaceful and quiet. John and Bev are both respectful of privacy as well as being kind and generous. This is a perfect spot for a solo traveller.

Pristine loft - Great location near Greenwich - PEI National Park

We would recommend this property. The owners take great care to make sure you have everything you need for a self catering trip, they also provide copious good advice verbally and written on the attractions of the area. Its also good value for money and its clear that they have clients that come back year after year which says it all really. We have travelled throughout Canada, the UK and Europe and stayed in dozens of accommodations of all kinds and we would be hard pressed to find one equal to the MckFolly loft In St Peters, Prince Edward island , Canada

Oasis on the Bay

This was our second stay at this lovely loft retreat. It is perfect for a couple. The location is tranquil and close to beautiful beaches. If you enjoy bike riding the location is very convenient as the Confederation Trail is in your backyard. The loft is fully equipped and the king-sized bed is very comfortable. You can fall asleep to the sounds of nature or if the night air is too warm, the a/c is a cool relief. The hosts are lovely and very considerate. Highly recommend.

A true gem - perfect for couples

When we arrived at McFolly Loft we were immediately struck by the peaceful tranquility of the property. It's located down a long laneway by no means is it difficult to find or too far away from amenities. John and Bev have taken great care in creating a perfect hideaway optimized for couples. It is very comfortable, modern and super-clean. We wanted for nothing; they supply everything from kitchen utensils to beach chairs and umbrellas, even reading material. The loft is flooded with natural light and has the added bonus of a/c - perfect for the PEI heat wave we experienced. I highly recommend McFolly and hope to return. Well done John and Bev!

Relaxing getaway

This rental had everything that we needed for a relaxing getaway. The Loft is fully equipped from start to finish. We cooked most of our meals and found everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for everything that we brought. The location is very private and quiet. Bev and John were great! The location is perfect to explore the eastern side of the island. We went to Cavendish one day and it only took 45 minutes. Loved our stay at the Loft and plan on trying to come back next year!

An Island hide-away experience

John and Bev's loft was so cozy and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and in great condition. The bed was super comfortable which isn't always the case in rentals. We enjoyed walking the beach by the house. St. Peter's Bay is very lovely. The proximity to Confederation Trail is super. John's information about things to do and places to eat was most helpful. This is a great spot. You won't be disappointed .

The loft was so beautiful. The setting was gorgeous, right on the Confederation Trail.

John and Bev were amazing hosts. They were so helpful in directing us to the island's cultural, dining, natural, and for us cycling highlites. We would highly recommend the loft. We feel like we have known them for years. They even provided us with a bottle of wine on our arrival.

Wonderful stay at McKfolly loft

We cannot say enough positive things about our week at McKfolly loft. The loft was perfect, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view of the water was lovely. On our first night we were treated to a spectacular thunder and lightning show 😊 The kitchen was very well equipped and it was nice to have the washer/dryer as well. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. Our hosts, John and Bev, were so welcoming, and we really enjoyed chatting with them about the Island. They were always available when we had questions, but very respectful of our privacy. They also provide a great binder loaded with info about the area. While there, we had delicious meals at David’s (at the Crowbush golf course), Ricks fish and chips (St Peters) and 21 Breakwater (Souris). My husband really enjoyed his round of golf at The Links at Crowbush. We’re sad to leave our perfect loft, and will absolutely stay again when we return to PEI.

Great couples retreat!

Well appointed loft. Very comfortable and well thought out. Kitchen includes everything you could possibly want and more. Excellent and quiet location with beautiful views. Lots of activities nearby and within short driving distance. Great place for outdoor lovers. Owners were extremely helpful, informative, and welcoming. Loved it so much that we plan to return again.

Perfect retreat in St Peter’s PEI

Bev and John’s McKfolly loft retreat was perfect in every way... they have thought of everything to make a vacation memorable. I chose the McKfolly loft due to its proximity to the Confederation Trail as my husband and I were anxious to bike some sections of it. This location is ideal to do just that,as the Trail is just outside the loft and it happens to be one of the most scenic parts of the Trail with many water views going in either direction. The Greenwich National park is just across the way and is spectacular! Bev and John were the best hosts imaginable from a welcoming bottle of wine to picking up some plants for me when they went into Charlottetown!! They could not have been nicer and we are definitely going to return to this little paradise!! We had booked for 4 nights initially but ended up staying an extra night as the loft was available and the weather was beautiful. I could go on and on about how wonderful McKfolly Loft is as Bev and John have thought of so many details that make this place unique and a very special place to stay on beautiful Prince Edward Island.

Excellent stay in St. Peter's Bay PEI

We had a wonderful week at Mckfolly Studios. John and Bev are very kind hosts who have designed and equipped the loft to give their guests a quiet, luxurious stay. The loft has great views, is sparkling clean, with a very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen with high end appliances. The location is wonderful, close to Confederation trail for great walks and views. John and Bev are lovely to chat with and provide great insight on the island including areas to visit and dine. Marvelous Mckfolly

We immensely enjoyed our short stay at Mckfolly. Situated in the beautiful St. Peter's Bay Area, Mckfolly is the perfect place to stay!! Bev and John have thought of everything!! Beautiful views, tranquil location, amazingly comfortable bed, large, attractive and functional bathroom, CLEAN, good lighting, funky outdoor furniture- in short, it's just great and highly recommended. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with Bev and John, who were wonderful hosts!! We'd love to come back for a longer stay!! Eleven stars!!

Jewel in St. Peter's Bay

Ok, if you like the picture, you'll love this loft above the home owners garage. Everything was top notch. This loft was so comfortable, it really has all the modern conveniences of home located on St. Peter's Bay. We enjoyed watching all the water fowl and our little fox buddy that would sometimes roam the open glassland close to the cottage (very elusive and more scare of us) We enjoyed Rick's fish and chips in St. Peter's and the fresh lobster roll and fresh oysters in Souris at the lobster shack.

Had an awesome week in your immaculately kept loft

The loft was everything you promised. We enjoyed our daily trips about the area immensely, knowing our comfy home base was waiting ,fully equipped at days end. Shelley wanted to take the king bed home but I was sure you may have noticed.. it was a welcome retreat after full days of beach glassing, combing and sight seeing. Your property was very relaxing and peaceful. We welcomed your input to Island places and things to see and also appreciated the privacy provided to us. YOU ARE VERY GOOD HOSTS..THANK YOU. I am sure your future guests will always be more than pleased with the loft and surrounding property. Glad you found the ONE beer I left and even happier it created a bit of a stir over who got it...must be the Scot in me that likes to stir the pot a bit! Thanks again, take care, Shelley and Paul
