'Beautiful Waterfront Gateway', is nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks.This picturesque retreat is what we fondly consider our piece of paradise. A beautiful two bedroom rustic cabin getaway with all the amenities of home and so much more. Access to a private beach for daily sun and nightly bonfire fun. Sit by the water or snuggle in and read your favorite author or just create your new memory at a moments notice. This locale is surrounded by 4 prominent Universities and we welcome professionals and students alike.Please note there is a #25 dollar a night dog fee per dog that will be due upon arrival. This fee is not included in this quote.

Perfect in Every Way

Lovely cabin right on the a Raquett River. Right up the road from a little market and around the corner from a convenience store. 1.5 miles from the Lobster House where we had a great meal and wonderful service. Their extensive menu had something for everyone. 10 minutes from Potsdam so it was a perfect location for seeing our sons. Nice porch for relaxing and enjoying the view of the water, comfortable living room with plenty of space and extremely comfortable beds. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Stay!

We are frequesnt VRBO guests. This location was a perfect and much needed getaway. Beautiful cabin, spotlessly clean, well stocked with everything you need and more. The yard led right to the water and our dog loved all the room.and made friends with the owners puppy. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful gazebo on the lake, great firepit and the view from the deck was so relaxing. The hosts were so friendly and accomidating which made our stay even more pleasurable. We would go back in a minute. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Cabin by the River

The house was very nice, the host was very helpful. The picture don’t do the property justice as everything is better in person. Can’t wait to get lab out next trip here!

Cozy cabin

The place was a nice cozy little cabin. The place was peaceful and quite. We were the loudest in the area with our two young boys. The outside/flower beds could use some weed wacking and/or de-weeding as it was beginning to get over-grown. Our two dogs had a good time and the owner even went out of her way to try and help when our dog had an emergency. But fyi, the Vets in the area were not good at all. But overall, everyone was pleasant to get along with and helpful.

Relaxing stay

The property was great. The cabin was well stocked and cozy. Even though you are in close proximity to the owner, you didn’t see them unless needed. It was beautiful and they were very accommodating to our senior dog and foster puppy! Would stay again!

Wonderful stay!

I was up in the area for work and brought my dog. The house was perfect for us and I could not get over how kind the hosts were. I absolutely recommend this house if you are in the area. Looking forward to my next stay!

Clean & Comfortable Cottage

This is a very clean and comfortable cottage on a beautiful waterfront property. The owners have the rental unit filled with everything you will need for your stay. It's an A+ rental!

Nice weekend away

In the area to visit family, but needed somewhere separate to relax since we were traveling with our dogs. It is a very nice property and had everything we could need. The hosts were nearby if needed, but we only saw them when we checked in. The early morning lake view was lovely! Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful Stay at Nana's Place

Nana's Place is a wonderful property perfect for families and anyone wanting to take advantage being on the lake. Tim and Raylee are wonderful hosts and communication with them was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Relaxing

We had a nice time! You can not see the cabin from the road. The cabin is in back of the owners house. It kinda sits up against the back of their house. The driveway is hard to get out of. When trying to pull out there is a blind spot because of other vehicles parked up by the road blocking your view. We almost got hit pulling out. The cabin has fans to use and ceiling fans in the bedrooms. They do have a AC floor unit that you can use. Just make sure you hook it up correctly so that it's not blowing the hot air into the cabin. They have everything in the cabin that you might need. There is NO washer/dryer. I did not notice that until a few days before we arrived. There is a little note under Heating that their is a laundry mat up the road. They do have a dock which was great for fishing. Our kiddos love to fish and they were able to catch quite a few fish. Make sure to bring water shoes or something to wear in the water. There are lots of muscles and rocks. I am glad we brought the kiddos water shoes. We had no problem checking in or out. It was very easy. We were able to bring our pup with us which was nice.

Great River Front Location

Great cabin in a great location. Lots of room, full kitchen with everything you need to cook, including a gas grill. Large living room - exactly as shown in listing photos. Very quiet neighborhood. The cabin sits on a huge lot that fronts the river. The host provides watercraft and everything needed to enjoy time on the river. Check-in was easy, the host was available for any questions. The WiFi was good. We will definitely stay here again!

House was lovely, parking was terrible

We rolled up to the address and found many dead vehicles in the parking spaces and no idyllic cabin. I called the host and on the 3rd try (they were traveling) got through to him and found the house was down a very steep driveway, literally 40 degree angle. Once we found it, it was lovely. Would have been nice to have an accurate picture of the entire situation especially for this price per night. I can't recommend this property.

The perfect place

We stayed at this property for our daughter’s graduation from Clarkson University. It was perfect! From the incredibly kind host who treated us to wine,organic coffee beans and fresh eggs for breakfast to the beautiful location on the Raquette River, the spotless house, the ease of check in and check out, the huge lawn and relaxing fire pit area by the river, the proximity to Clarkson while feeling like you are on vacation and the amazingly comfortable beds, including the sofa bed! Our family really enjoyed our stay and even though our daughter has graduated would love to come back for a vacation. We highly recommend this property!

Great little getaway

We were just looking to get away for a few days and this was the perfect trip. Quaint, cute cabin with just enough space for us. Great yard with fun things to do, even without super warm weather.
