About this property

Villa Mimosa is a large 170m2 family villa with 2000m2 of land situated in the beautiful Rotja Valley in the peaceful mountain town of Fuilla in the French Pyrenees with stunning views of Mount Canigou. With 4 bedrooms and a heated outdoor pool, it is a fantastic location at any time of year in one of the sunniest regions of France. The mountain village gives direct access to the beautiful countryside of the Pyrenees and a variety of outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountain biking, rafting, canyoning, caving and skiing. The UNESCO World Heritage walled town of Villefranche-de-Conflent is only a 5-minute drive away and the market town of Prades and spa town of Vernet les Bains only 10 minutes away. It is 50 minutes drive from both the sandy beaches of the Western Mediterranean coast and the ski resorts of Font Romeu, Pyrenees 2000 and Les Angles. Spain or Andorra can easily be reached as a day trip.

In more detail:
On the 1st floor are 2 double-sized bedrooms both with en-suite bathroom with showers. There is also a large family bathroom with bath & shower, and two twin bedrooms (both of which can accommodate an extra single bed or cot for an additional fee). All the bedrooms have direct access to a large balcony with fantastic views of Mount Canigou.

On the ground floor, there is large well-equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and large 5 burner gas hob and electric oven and small breakfast table. The dining / living area boasts several comfortable leather sofas, a large 8-10 person dining table, 49' full-screen UHD TV and wood-burning stove. There is a separate toilet and access to the garage and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The lounge and kitchen lead out onto the wrap-around shady terrace and garden & pool area. The 8m x 4m swimming pool has a covered patio area with a built-in barbecue. The villa lends itself to two 4-person families sharing or 1 large extended family, but would also suit groups of couples.

The nearest airport is Perpignan and is served by Ryanair, Flybe & Air France and is an easy 45 minute drive from the villa.

Alternatively there are major international airports in Montpellier, Toulouse and Barcelona (Spain) served by all the major carriers (British Airways, Easyjet, Air France, etc) all of which are approximately a 2.5 hour drive from the villa on 2 - 3 lane major motorways.

Other small airports include: Girona (Spain), Carcassonne and Beziers which are all approximately 1.5 hours from the villa and are served by Ryanair, EasyJet, FlyBe, British Airways or Air France.

Rates:
The price includes all utilities, bed linen and bath towels and end-of-stay clean.

The balance plus €300 security deposit is due 60 days before arrival.

The security deposit is returned in full providing the property is left in a tidy and undamaged condition.

Nightly rate is 15% of the weekly rate. Minimum stay is 7 nights. For information about other lengths of stay, please contact us.

During the colder months (i.e October to April) we reserve the right to charge additional fees for excessive electricity usage (to be agreed in advance)

From July-Aug, the change-over day is normally Saturday but we will also consider mid-week arrivals during low and medium season, longer stay price reductions, discounts for couples & small groups, and Friends & Family Discounts

La villa Mimosa est idéalement située dans un petit village cerné par la montagne, c est calme et proche de toutes les commodités, activités et attractions touristiques. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à 7 personnes qui nous a fait beaucoup de bien. Très agréable séjour !

Une maison spacieuse, un très bel environnement, même si le ménage n'était pas parfait à notre arrivée, les lieux étaient accueillants et très agréables. Des propriétaires réactifs, et la personne (en cas de questions ou problèmes) sur les lieux, gentille et disponible.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la villa Mimosa. La villa ne manque de rien, elle est spacieuse et bien équipée, en plus de cela, les gestionnaires immobiliers sont très accueillants et à l'écoute, quant à l'hôte, il reste toujours disponible et les échanges sont agréables. Pour ce qui est de l'emplacement, la villa est bien située et c'est très calme. Je recommande sans hésiter

Heerlijk huis

Het is een heerlijk ruim en luchtig huis. Erg complete keuken met ruime hoeveelheden servies en bestek. Mooi uitzicht vanaf het terras en vanuit je slaapkamer. En een eigen zwembad was helemaal geweldig! We hebben een fijne vakantie gehad!

Un endroit idéal pour profiter de la nature et se reposer en famille !

La villa est très spacieuse et très agréable pour passer un bon moment en famille ou avec des amis dans un endroit magnifique. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la tranquillité des lieux avec la vue magnifique sur le Canigou. La villa est idéalement située dans une vallée à partir de laquelle différentes activités en pleine nature sont possibles. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié l'attention de John et Charlotte pour nous faire passer un très agréable séjour !

Villa bien située

Cette villa est très bien située. Beaucoup de visites à faire à 5 minutes (Villefranche de Conflent et son Fort Libéria, ses grottes). A 30 minutes, nous avons pu visiter les orgues à Ille sur Têt. Et si vous souhaitez aller à la plage, Argelès et Collioure à 1h de route. Le coin est très paisible avec une vue magnifique. La piscine a fait la joie des enfants. Nous avons également apprécié la terrasse à l'ombre et le barbecue. La villa est très bien équipée avec sa grande cuisine et les chambres avec salle de bain privative. Le seul bémol était peut être la propreté. Pas nickel comme on l'aurait souhaité au niveau des sols et poussière dans les armoires et protège matelas qui, pour nous, n'a pas été changé.

Très belle maison avec une superbe vue sur le Canigou

Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine dans cette spacieuse et confortable maison. La vue de la maison est superbe. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été émerveillés et qu’elle surprise le lendemain matin, une fois le ciel dégagé de voir le Canigou dans toute sa splendeur. Nous avons fait de belles visites au alentour - L’Abbaye St-Martin à ne pas manquer. Une carte postale et une bouteille de vin nous attendait - à la hauteur de l’attention des propriétaires depuis le premier contact. Même si nous y étions en mai, l’eau de la piscine était fort agréable. Dommage que la Villa Mimosa soit si loin du Québec. Merci.

Fabulous House, Stunning Location

Villa Mimosa is set in a stunning location, near to Villefranche-de-Conflent and Prades, to mention just a couple of great locations. The property itself has lovely mountain views and we enjoyed these over every meal. The swimming pool is great and in a secluded spot, with a shallow end and steps down. It was very well maintained and the kids loved it. It really made our holiday. There were plenty of beach towels supplied to go around as well! The house itself is fabulous and very clean. The layout of it was perfect and it was easy to keep it cool during the heat of the day. It's large enough to allow for a family to spread out and not be on top of one another. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen is huge, with lots of counter space and every piece of equipment you could wish for. We prepared and cooked wonderful local produce (the close proximity of 2 big supermarkets means that you're never short of anything) every night. The barbeque was great and the table outside meant that we could enjoy our meals whilst taking in the stunning views. Locally, there is so much to do. One of our favourite spots was Villefranche-de-Conflent, with its beautiful shops. We loved the market in Prades (which takes place every Tuesday). We also did various drives; the area is one with many charming little villages and towns such as the hillside village Eus. Villa Mimosa was simply the best house that we have been to in France to date. Thank you to John & Charlotte for being our hosts and being so flexible - we hope to be back soon!

Ett valdigt trevligt och rymligt semesterboende perfekt för 2 familjer i Fuilla, Frankrike. Stora sovrum, frascha badrum, ett rymligt vardagsrum samt ett valutrustat kok gjorde vistelsen avslappnad. Harlig utsikt mot bergen och en varm pool att svalka sig i. Flera trevliga utflyktsmal i narheten. Vi stannade har en vecka i juli 2018 med en annan familj och kan verkligen rekommendera Villa Mimosa!

Väldigt trevligt och rymligt semesterboende

Ett väldigt trevligt och rymligt semesterboende perfekt för två familjer i Fuilla, Frankrike. Stora sovrum, fräscha badrum, ett rymligt vardagsrum samt ett välutrustat kök gjorde vistelsen avslappnad. Härlig utsikt mot bergen och en varm pool att svalka sig i. Flera trevliga utflyktsmål i närheten. Vi stannade här en vecka i juli 2018 med en annan familj och kan verkligen rekommendera Villa Mimosa!

Séjour très agréable cet hiver

Une maison très confortable, décorée avec goût et offrant une véritable douceur de vivre. Les pièces sont grandes et lumineuses, la vue sur la montagne imprenable, la localisation idéale pour les balades. En résumé un cadre superbe, un logement parfait où il ne manque rien et des hôtes à notre écoute. De plus, accueil agréable avec de petites attentions appréciables.

excellent spacious property

27 September 2017 18:58 Villa Mimosa was a great place to stay for our first vacation in a privately owned villa situated in a very quite rural location only a 45 minute drive from Perpignan airport ( a convenient place to fly to from London Southend) pre booked car hire was easy to collect with only a short walk from the terminal building to the car park. The villa is well equipped with everything one needs in the way of pots ,pans ,glasses and cooking utensils etc. Our days out were varied and interesting the drive up the N116 to Font Romeu is magnificent good enough to rival the sea to sky highway from Vancouver into the coastal mountains of British Columbia Canada and the A830 Fort William to Mallaig in the highlands of Scotland. There are many spectacular views around every corner. We would certainly rent this villa again to see more of the attractions and places within easy reach a week was not long enough Steve & Heather V
