Beautiful self contained flat in New Town, Stockbridge. Great location!

Self contained flat spread over two floors, a warm & welcoming home from home. Steps lead down from street level to the front door of this self contained basement/garden flat.

In an exclusive area of New Town, in the heart of Stockbridge, with the Botanical Gardens, Inverleith Park, Dean Village, the Waters of Leith & Princes Street all within easy walking distance. Sunday sees the Stockbridge market arrive with a feast of street food & local produce stalls.
There is no shortage of vintage shops, and unique boutiques for that bespoke gift.
There are restaurants & cafes to suit all tastes, with plenty of choice for vegans & people who are intolerant to certain ingredients. Also a great selection of bars that suit all tastes.

Close by there is designer shopping in the exclusive Multrees Walk, St. James Quarter and St Andrews Square area. Not far from here is the Playhouse Theatre & the Omni Theatre, with cinema & plenty of eateries. Down the road from there is the Broughton Road area, again with a great selection of restaurants, giftshops, bars & bistros.

It would take on average 10 to 15 minutes to walk up to Princes Street, however, if preferred there is a bus-stop right around the corner. The tram-stop is approx. 10 to 15 minutes walk away.

There is a great mix of hustle & bustle, yet greenery & nature right on our doorstep. Beautiful areas suitable for leisurely strolls or picturesque jogs around Dean Village, the Waters of Leith and the fantastic Inverleith Park which has an alternative viewpoint of the castle.

Unusually for Edinburgh city flats, there is a private front courtyard & a private back garden, exclusive to this property. Steps lead from the back door to the back garden.

There are two bedrooms, one double & one with twin beds. There is a beautiful freestanding bath & sink in the double bedroom which is downstairs. Additionally there is a separate shower room with toilet & a separate WC. Just what you need if there are a few staying over!

Perfect flat, perfect location

This apartment has everything - gorgeous style, cleanliness, beautifully comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Convenient to explore Edinburgh city centre either on foot or catch a bus (almost at the door). Cafes, restaurants and grocery store all within 5-10 minutes walk. Excellent communication from the owner who has very thoughtfully set this place up with everything you could need. The only problem was that we didn't get to spend more time at home enjoying the flat!

Happy Holidays

This was the perfect spot for our family of 4 adults on holiday! Common areas big enough for games and eating in. We appreciated the variety and convenience of options in the neighborhood, with reasonable walking distance to sites in other parts of the city. Highly recommend!

Fantastic communication with the owner. Check in easy. Lovely apartment, a home from home. In a great location, short walk to Princes Street and on the doorstep of the lovely Stockbridge. Really loved watching the squirrels in the garden whilst eating breakfast. Another great stay. Thank you

Lovely stay

Lovely homebase to explore beautiful, walkable Edinburgh. Dana was very responsive with any questions. Home is cozy as advertised. We did laundry and used the line in the garden to dry our clothes.

Great place!

My husband and young adult sons stayed in this property and it was their favorite vrbo of their whole vacation. The property was lovely and in a quiet location; Dana was very communicative and helpful. Hopefully I get to go next time!

Nice stay

It was a great location and not too far to walk to restaurants. You will have to walk down stairs to get in the unit, so if you have mobility issues, please be aware.

Stay in Stockbridge

We had an excellent time in Dana's flat in Stockbridge. Dana was a fantastic host and responded very quickly...she helped us almost immediately when we accidentally locked the keys inside. The area is amazing...lots of shops, pubs and restaurants close by, yet walkable to the busier downtown Edinburgh (Princes St and Royal Mile). The kitchen was nicely stocked and the back garden was beautiful. Just know that the master bedroom is in the lower level, and there is no toilet on that level, just a tub and sink in the room. We were a family of four and would definitely stay again.

A visit with no worries

I'm always so thankful to the thought put into equipping the apartment. By supplying basics like shower gel, shampoo, washing up liquid, and loo rolls it saves me having to buy things each time. If I do buy spices or something that's run out, I'm happy to leave them for the next person. Thanks again, Dana, for a fab stay!

Great spot in Stockbridge!

Very convenient, and well appointed. I'd stay there again for sure. Stockbridge is a perfect quiet and cozy spot in busy Edinburgh, and the property basically sits on a bus line-- couldn't be easier!

Brilliant apartment

Check in was easy. The property is modern, well equipped and in a great location. The double bed downstairs is so comfortable and cosy especially with the very cold nights when we stayed. I would have preferred a downstairs toilet as I sometimes have to get up during the night, but for 2 nights I managed. The property is very close to bars, cafes, shops and restaurants if you fancy a change from the hustle and bustle of Princes Street, George street and Rose Street. The host is very accommodating and is only a phone call away if any issues. We come to Edinburgh every year for the Christmas market and we had an excellent stay.

A perfect fit

You just can't go wrong with this lovely accommodation in Stockbridge. The well-equipped apartment is close to great eateries, the botanical garden, and it's a short, walk to the Old Town. Or stay in and enjoy a home cooked meal and kick back with Netflix. It's all there.

Our visit and Stsy in Edinburgh

We arrived midafternoon and walked from the train station to Dana’s flat (approximately 1 mile). We were able to enter the flat easily utilizing instructions. The flat is a warm and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean, though please note, there is only one shower. The downstairs bathroom has a tub (no shower) and sink but no toilet . Both toilets are on the main floor of the flat. The kitchen and living room have views of a lovely garden. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding neighborhood and also venturing into Old Town. People in Scotland are so kind and very helpful. We would stay at Dana’s flat again upon our return to Glasgow.

Great location and well-equipped kitchen.

Big panic when we went back to get our bags. Cleaners or plumber locked all three locks and we struggled to get in to get our bags! So nice we could leave bags. We didn’t cook but could have as it was well-equipped. No toilet in basement but I managed at night. Nice and clean. Great restaurants.

Schöne Untergeschosswohnung in top Lage

Tolle Wohnung in Stockbridge, fussläufig alles gut erreichbar, der Bus Richtung City fährt um die Ecke ab. Großartige Gastgeberin, alles war bestens vorbereitet und als Gast darf man in einer schönen Wohnung übernachten. Einziger kleiner Negativpunkt: Nebenan ist ein Café, morgens ab 6 bereitet das Personal den Laden vor, die Wohnung ist sehr hellhörig. Ansonsten ist die Wohnung perfekt für Kurzurlaube, bestens ausgestattet und der Garten läd auch zum verweilen ein.

New Town Location

Great location. Roomy space for four adults. Our visit coincided with the Queens passing which added another element to our stay. Little shops and restaurants around the corner. Definitely recommend.
