About this property

Welcome to this unique coastal hideaway offering self-contained accommodation suitable for one couple. The suite is totally separate from the main house, and guests have their own front and back doors and car-parking spaces. It boasts reverse-cycle air-conditioning throughout, with a lounge including a television with pay TV, a surround sound system with an eclectic collection of CDs and DVDs and its own extensive reading library.

There is a separate bedroom with a king size bed and a separate bathroom with huge shower, spa, double vanity and heated towel rail and luxury bathroom products.

The kitchen/ dining room has an automatic espresso machine (just press a button for a perfect, fresh ground, cup of coffee), microwave, kettle, fridge, electric fry pan, all cutlery and crockery. We provide a huge variety of breakfast items for you to prepare at your own leisure and cater for special dietary needs.

Highest quality bed linen, luxurious towels, soft robes and pool towels are provided.

Special touches include complimentary champagne, cheese platter and home-cooked goodies on your arrival.

An easy three and a half hour drive from Sydney and two hours from Canberra, The Sun House is situated at Surf Beach, just south of Batemans Bay.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at The Sun House & the accommodation is of a very high standard. The breakfast supplies, wine & cheese & homemade cookies were all yummy. We loved being able to relax by the pool.

Lovely spacious holiday home.

Beautiful annexe of owners home with huge lounge and bedroom. Pool available to use. Breakfast items provided along with lots of lovely treats. Highly recommend staying at this property.

Five star stay

Chris and Mick are the most wonderfully warm, friendly and generous hosts and our recent stay in their stunning ‘Sun House’ B&B was a total spoil. We experienced five star treatment from the moment we arrived and attention to detail in providing every creature comfort imaginable for guests is a credit to their passion…and a hard act to follow! Provisions are plentiful as many reviews have mentioned and the addition of fresh flowers, home baked cookies, a bottle of bubbly chilling in the fridge, chocolates on our pillows and a hand written card welcoming us were unexpected, delightfully special treats. Quality toiletries, luxurious linen, tasteful decor, a super comfy bed and plenty of space all added to our enjoyment, and the location and magnificent gardens with abundant bird life made it the perfect relaxing retreat to return to each evening. Thank you again for having us, we will definitely return!

A cosy little paradise

Such a beautiful property kindly shared with owners who you’d never know were only right next door. Was excellent communication leading up to check in & a lovely warm welcome on arrival. All the added extras made it really special from home baked Anzac biscuits (YUM) chocolates, wine, fruit, fresh bread & a lovely stocked fridge full of goodies which we used for a beautiful breakfast. I could write a list of all scrumptious food but do yourself a favour & stay yourself.... you won’t be disappointed! Spotless throughout & top quality from linen to robes, bath goodies & also the lovely choice of decor. Even though we were adjoined to the owners house, we really felt a million miles away & had our own privacy. Was lovely & close to everything & we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay & exploring all that Batemans Bay has to offer. Would highly recommend to others & look forward to coming back some time down the track to make use of the pool & tennis court ❤️ Thanks for sharing your gorgeous b&b ❤️

The most cleanest and comfortable environment I have ever been to in years!

We really enjoyed our stay at the sunhouse. Our hosts were amazing! They provided us with all the breakfast ingredients and a beautiful bottle of wine, fruits and cheese! The environment is quiet and beautiful too. I enjoyed most their beautiful lounge that has a wide range of books, music and movies....

Amazing place for a holiday

Outstanding hospitality!

Chris and Mick are wonderful hosts! Nothing was too much trouble for them in making us feel welcome. The rooms are very spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Wonderfully private extravently large property

We had a two night stay at the Sun House and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet get away. The hosts Christine and Michael are extra friendly and very helpful. The provision they provided were amazing, even down to a home made Fruit Cake and Marmalade. The rooms are large and clean and have everything that you need for your stay. A bottle of champagne was in the fridge and chocolates on the pillow and in the living room. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and they had even left us a lovely card. We will certainly go back the next time we need a trip to the coast. Maureen and John.

Fantastic

Our hosts, Chris and Mick, were amazing as was the property. There is everything you could ever need and more. Champagne, basket of fruit, breakfast items supplied and much much more. The property is a delight, very spacious and comfortable. Quiet location, but only a short drive to Batemans Bay. We will definitely return.

Lovely

This accomodation is clean, spacious, well appointed and private. The provisions for breakfast were generous with extra touches such as champagne, chocolates, home made slices and a large fruit basket. The accomodation is exactly as represented in the photos. We were not disappointed but wished we had stayed longer.
