About this property

Mary Valley Cottage is situated on 5 acres off of Mary Valley Rd close to Yabba Creek. This property has a large covered hardwood deck with undulating views across the valley, an in ground swimming pool, wrap around veranda, internal fireplace, polished hardwood floors, external fire pit and a large dam.The property is ideally suited for animal lovers with a gated wrap around verandah for the family dog. There are numerous citrus and nut trees across the property as well as native hardwoods.

Good Family weekend.

Arrived Saturday afternoon, had a local family wedding on Sunday. Didn’t get much time to relax at the property, but what time we had we totally enjoyed. The pool is great, will come back again when the sun is out. Many thanks Damien.

Short stay

Property is true to photos, the garden is overgrown and dryer not working but did not affect the overall stay. Will definitely come back again.

Relaxing with spectacular views

My sister, myself and our two sons stayed at this property for two nights in order to relax and unwind. I also brought along my two little dogs and they had the best time running around, exploring. The house was beautiful and so historical. We enjoyed stunning views, peace and quiet. We spent much time exploring and picking from the many fruit and nut trees. The stars at night were amazing and the boys enjoyed playing in the beautifully lanscaped pool. Waking up to the cows in the paddock and the mist on the hills was spectacular. We visited the nearby cemetery and were amazed at the many old graves which took us back in time. The house was so well appointed with cooling and heating. We brought alot of our own things unsure of what exactly was provided but ultimately we didn't need to bring much at all because just about everything we needed was there. We had an amazing time and were sad to have to leave. I would recommend the property to anyone who was looking for the perfect escape. Excellent all round.

Really enjoyed our time. Gorgeous house, bit of bug debris around but it’s a gorgeous old QLDer in the sticks. The pool is amazing. Really easy to relax and unwind, very serene.

Peaceful, relaxing pet friendly farmhouse in Kandanga

Gorgeous, comfortable home with everything you could need for a great stay. Wonderful deck area for relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. We loved the pool and hammocks. Great option with having an outdoor shower. Our 2 dogs had lots of fun exploring the 5 acres and swimming in the dam. The Mary Valley area is stunning with plenty of options for a great trip away. It was so peaceful we found it hard to leave.

Relaxing get away

We enjoyed our time at Windrush Farm, especially the tranquility of the countryside and quiet location. The host Damian was quick to respond to communication and we had a great stay.

Very rustic with a touch of run down

Dish washer didn’t work and fire place smoked like crazy while trying to get it running hot. Good in summer with the natural ventilation but challenging in winter to heat.

Country location with gorgeous pool

Old farm house with lovely views of rolling hills. One of the best, completely private pools with a ramp to enter, and a trickling water fall.

Getaway to the country

A wonderful few days spent relaxing, resting and enjoying the tranquillity of being away from the busyness of life! Property was comfortable, home away from home, pool was amazing especially as it was so hot during the day. Highly recommended 😊

Lovely country downtime

This lovely property offers a great way to unwind only 1 hour 45 mins drive from Brisbane. Between the large deck with a charming vista, the pool and the hammocks we enjoyed relaxing. It’s also a practical property with a full kitchen and bbq. Would recommend.

Great views & fireplaces but not much more...

We absolutely loved the views and the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The pool, while nice was quite dirty on our arrival. We did love the extended deck and the hammocks but unfortunately that's where our positive experience with the property ended. Firstly, the mattresses and bedding were extremely old and springy. The pillows were unusable due to stains and mould, so we had to purchase our own pillows to use for the duration of the stay. One of single beds in the kids room was broken and the mattress smelt of urine. All the spare blankets smelt like they needed a wash. While we were expecting a 'renovated' Queenslander, it is very much not so. The outdoor porch and deck by the pool were falling apart - rotten timber boards and sharp nails sticking up everywhere. The fenced in dog area is actually the dilapidated deck which is certainly not the best place for dogs. We were also harassed by the local neighbourhood dogs. Also, at times the noise and traffic from the nearby state highway was unexpected. We reached out to let the owner know of the issues in the hope that perhaps a few improvements could be made for future guests (especially the bedding) but recieved no response. On a positive note, the kids loved the horse and llama and the space around the property.

Lovely property in a stunning location

We took our two little dogs with us (pre-approved) and absolutely loved our stay. We enjoyed drinks on the deck each day watching the scenery and relaxing in the evening on the comfy couch. Our favourite part was interacting with the animals though. The llama kept it’s distance unless food was invoked but the horse was incredibly friendly and the cows from the neighbouring property even came up to say hi at one stage. Not a criticism by any means but just two points to note so folks are prepared: - come prepared with food or willingness to drive out for a meal. - there is no wifi and mobile/internet reception wasn’t the best on both Optus and Vodafone. This was a great excuse to take time out and relax though!

Perfect for a quiet family getaway

Lovely farmhouse oozing with charm. Checkin was a breeze with a lockbox - we knew the owners were onsite, but they gave us total privacy. Kids loved the horse and alpaca, and the resort-style pool of course. Great location for getting away from the busy school holiday crowds, but only 10 min to Kenilworth or Imbil. Mostly quiet except for light traffic noise. House was quite clean for a farmhouse, but with a few minor issues (probably due to a tight turnaround): grimey dishes, sofa broken with no support, BBQ grill dirty, and a broken glass left by the BBQ ostensibly from the previous guest. But all small things in the larger scheme of the trip. Kids are already planning the return trip!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very nice .

We really enjoyed staying at the farm. The horse and alpaca were fun to feed. The only draw back was dodging wasps in and around the house. We would definitely return for a stay.

Great place with nice views and lovely pool.

Had a very relaxing time with family and friends, was great spend time in the pool and exploring the small towns near by. House had a lot of charm with the high ceilings and doors. The back deck was great to sit and have a few drinks and enjoy the views.
