SUMMER SHACK is a spacious 2 storey, 4 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 9 guests and has distant sea views from the balcony.

UPSTAIRS

Open plan kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, electric stove top and oven, coffee machine (BYO coffee dishwasher. Dining with split system reverse cycle air-conditioner, living area with TV/DVD, access to balcony with outdoor setting.

Main bedroom has an ensuite with vanity, shower and w/c, separate 2nd w/c and vanity.

DOWNSTAIRS:

Living room with split system reverse cycle air-conditioner, bathroom with vanity, shower & w/c, 3 bedrooms, access to rear verandah with outdoor setting and BBQ. Laundry with top loading washing machine.

Plenty of parking for cars and boats

Bed configuration - Upstairs - bed 1 - QB Downstairs - bed 2 - QB, bed 3 - QB, bed 4 - 3 singles

Pillows and quilts/doonas are provided you will need to bring all your own linen - pillow cases, sheets, towels, bath mat and tea towels

Pt Turton has a Tavern, excellent boat ramp and jetty, there is a General Store which stocks groceries, fuel, ice, bait, take away foods, delicious fresh baked goods, PO and EFTPOS facilities.

Good property for families

House and surrounds were well maintained and location quiet. A sort walk to the jetty and tavern made easy access. Only downside there were no fish cleaning facilities at the property.

Excellent time

Easy to book, communicate with, open & then finish up. Very good value for money. Negative is bringing your own towels & bedding but I bring them when the value for money is so great

Good property with full facilities. However need to upgrade both lounge suites as deteriorating covers and making a mess on the floor. All else good. Suggest also roller blind on top balcony/ deck especially for morning sun. Thanks

Work trip

Great location, huge back yard with ample space for boats and cars. Furnishings let the place down a bit, couch upstairs is in very poor condition. It would be great if the property had some basic, essential items, considering there is only one small store at Turton, we were on the water until late every day so it was difficult to get supplies, and there is literally nothing in the house. Some salt, pepper, sugar, oil, dishwashing liquid, hand soap at a minimum would be nice so guests don't have to lug half their house around with them. We are asked to keep the place clean and do the dishes etc, but there is absolutely nothing in the house to facilitate this. We had to come in early from work on the first day just so we could catch the shop and buy dishwashing liquid. Otherwise we had no way to clean anything. Suggest the hosts consider that people are travelling a long way to get to these places and stock their accommodation accordingly. Otherwise very good.

Beautiful Turton

Beautiful house with sea views made a great base for daily trips across Yorkes. House was lovely, perfect for a mix of adults and kids.

Great place for holiday

Overall the place is great to stay. If the backyard have a cleaning bench with sink and water hose to wash all the catches that would be perfect for those who enjoy fishing around Point Turton.

Ok accommodation but over priced and not practical

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was good for the two 6 people we had staying: The kitchen area was difficult to use as there was no pantry, not area to store any food and not a very big space. Whilst the 2 fridges helped, we found it very tight and struggled to make meals.We were also unable to use the toaster or kettle as it tripped the circuit breaker each time we tried. House was not very clean and under my son’s mattress on the single bed, whilst making it I noticed a large amount of spider webs on the bed slats.Both vacuum cleaners supplied did not work either, making it hard to tidy up. Eventually we found a broom outside that we could use. Split systems didn’t really cool the bedrooms.

A lovely quiet getaway

It had a good view of the water, although a house is being put up in front of it which slightly changed the view. The lounge rooms weren’t very comfortable for a family to sit in, but we didn’t do a lot of sitting around with the weather we had.
