Vacances à Garajau
Maison très bien située,à quelques minutes à pied du télécabine de Cristo Rei et du centre de Garajau. A 20 minutes de l'aéroport et de Funchal. Maison typique meublée avec de beaux meubles et aussi plein de bibelots. Pas très conseillée pour une famille maladroite ou avec des petits enfants.Beaucoup d'espace intérieur et belle terrasse.

Traumhafte Villa mit geheimnisvoller Mitbewohnerin
Die Villa ist wirklich traumhaft, wir werden diesen Blick nie vergessen. Alles war sauber und so wie man es auf den Fotos gesehen hat. Unser Navi hat die Adresse leider nicht gefunden, wir mussten dann mit der Propertymanagerin mehrmals telefonieren bis die Wegbeschreibung auf Englisch funktioniert hat. Mit ihr gab es auch keinen persönlichen Kontakt, nur übers Handy. Das Einzige was uns etwas gestört hat war, dass man unsere Bewohnerin, die im Haus im Untergeschoss wohnt ( es soll die Besitzerin des Hauses sein) nie zu Gesicht bekommen hat, dafür oft sehr laut gehört hat, weil das Treppenhaus nach unten praktisch offen ist. Man versteht jedes Wort, das unten gesprochen wird. Und es fühlt sich insgesamt komisch an wenn dann gar kein Kontakt besteht .. Aber man ist ja in Madeira viel draußen unterwegs. deswegen war es insgesamt ein großartiger Urlaub!

Schöne Unterkunft
Die Unterkunft entspricht den Fotos. Die Kommunikation mit Vermieterin war kaum vorhanden. Um dort kochen zu können muss von Salz bis Öl alles mitgebracht werden. Auch Toilettenpapier war nicht ausreichend. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut.

Alles in Allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub
Da wir schon sehr früh auf Madeira landeten, konnten wir unser Gepäck schon zur Mittagszeit in Absprache mit der Vermieterin am Ferienhaus abgeben. Der spätere Check in verlief absolut reibungslos. Das Haus ist am Ende einer Sackgasse gelegen und bietet einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf den Atlantik. Die Ausstattung ist so, wie es auf dem Inserat beschrieben wurde. Canico bzw. Garajau bietet Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen. Die Infrastruktur( Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel) ist gut ausgebaut. Tip: wenn sie überlegen ein Mietwagen zu buchen, dann sollte dieser nicht zu untermotorisiert sein. Wir haben unserem Urlaub in dem Ferienhaus bzw. auf Madeira sehr genossen.

Big villa stunning views
A large gates villa in a cul de sac just off the main road. Met by the owner who lived in the basement apartment of the villa. Huge master suite and bathroom although we couldn't get the Jacuzzi bath to work. Stunning terrace and views with lots of options of where to sit and enjoy the view. The villa is decorated traditionally with lots of personal items like vases, statues, plates etc so I would not recommend for anyone with toddlers for fear of them knocking something over. The living room has quite formal furniture so not a place to really chill out but we didn't need to with the beautiful views. The villa is a very short walk to the main Estrada of Garajau with shops and cafe bars, incl bus stops to Funchal. It's a quick walk downhill to Christo Rei and the cable car to the beach. The beach is rocky so either use a sunbed or take beach towels with you (not provided so take own or buy on arrival). We also walked to Canico (try the Boco do Caco can outside the church!) and Canico de Baixo and caught the 155 bus back (Eur 1,30 each). There are two resident cats so we were not able to leave the patio doors open downstairs as they tried to get in and there are several dogs in the area, including one at the property below the villa. They do all bark a lot so we did eventually have to sleep with the bedroom patio doors and bathroom windows closed as we were woken a couple of times with all the barking, but not the owners fault. I would recommend this villa for a family with older children or a group of friends staying together.

Peer into the Heart of Portuguese Villa Life
This villa is lovingly filled with furniture, paintings, sculpture and art-- there is always something to wonder over, when not looking out at the magnificent view of the tiny garden overlooking the blue ocean. It's like stepping back in time, when people dressed up for dinner, then descended the curved marble staircase to greet their friends. The property manager was also very helpful.

Nous sommes dans l’ensemble satisfaits
Il manquait des ustensiles de cuisine et surtout une cafetière. L’hôte nous a dépanné pour une cafetière italienne pas tres pratique mais sa gentillesse a compensé ces petits détails.la maison est tres jolie et bien située .nous sommes tres contents de notre séjour.
