Loreto Bay!

We had a lovely stay at Sara's. Before arrival Sara answered all of my questions very soon after I wrote to her. The space was comfortable and inviting and we had a very relaxing time. We loved that there were several outdoor areas to enjoy all the birds and soak up the warm air. Everyone was very friendly and we felt very safe. And there are several restaurants within walking distance.

Loreto Bay

Wonderful stay in Loreto Bay, the home was very comfortable and the location was perfect! We love to spend our time outdoors and was great to have plenty of comfortable places to eat and relax outdoors. The community of Loreto Bay is fabulous, we hope to return next year.

Lovely home and neighborhood. The village of Founders in Loreto Bay is beautiful.

We had a great time. Love that you can walk or bike to everything. We didn’t rent a car but it was easy to get a taxi to go into Loreto. We took a few tours and saw the blue whales on one and the humpback whales on another. The food was excellent at all of the restaurants and many had entertainment that was super fun too. Two of the four bikes at the house weren’t working but and they probably need a tune up as they are getting a little rusty but we understand being by the ocean is probably hard on them. We appreciate that snorkeling equipment was provided as we snorkeled a few times by the big rock in front of the Loreto hotel. We snorkeled at Coronado Island too and our tour guide provided the snorkel equipment that day so we didn’t have to take it. We also appreciate that beach chairs were available to take to the beach as we enjoyed our time at the beach!! We rented kayaks from the Loreto Hotel a few times too. We will be back next year! 😎

Beautiful Property!

Lovely home! Superb location just a few minutes walking from Wine Bar, golf course, and lounge pool! Bicycles need attention if they are to be included as a feature (flat tires!). Front door lock malfunctioned a few times which was frustrating, but property manager finally fixed it. Otherwise wonderful!

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely three week stay at the end of January and into February. It is perfectly located to take advantage of all of the amenities in Loreto Bay and worked just fine for our two older couples.

Perfect Casa for Loreto getaway

The property and amenities were more than we imagined, and was absolutely perfect for our family. The spacious layout could easily accommodate the 4 of us, plus more. Stocked with all necessities, even games, a ton of DVDs, and books. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the decorations were impeccable. The location was supreme...walking distance to the pools, beach, and cafes! Will definitely be staying here again!

Wonderful Loreto vacation

Sara, we really enjoyed your casa for our two week stay in March. The location was perfect, 50 yards in one Direction was the 10th Fairway and a couple hundred yards in the other direction was the beautiful sea of Cortez. The layout of the casa was perfect for two couples and we had a great time. Steve and Mary Linnell

Great location

My wife found the over abundance of furniture and stuff off-putting especially the upper suite with the creepy mirrors. It did not help when patio lights next door stayed on into the night and completely illuminated the bedroom. No one was ever around to enjoy these I lights . The library however was most impressive.

Amazing location with fantastic amenities.

Our family of 5 stayed here for a week in December and it was an amazing experience - this world-class location, fantastic amenities (pools, beaches, hiking, biking, snorkeling, touring), gorgeous landscapes - the restaurants in Loreto Bay and the town were great, but the best of all was this quiet, peaceful escape that it provided. Thank you so much!

Beautiful property in an amazing setting.

The home is beautifully set up for a holiday for a family or small group of 6 - so many amenities and the location is excellent. There were details that were much appreciated by our family - the artwork, the bicycles, the snorkel gear and even all the great books. Close to the beach. this well-appointed property is set up perfectly near the local restaurants and shops and pools. The location of the property is private and the gardens and surrounding areas are breathtaking. We are so grateful for your work to establish this great place to stay, rest, rejuvenate and see and appreciate Mexico.

Great place!

Sara, your place is just beautiful! We enjoyed our stay at this casa very much! Beautiful decor and comfortable beds. Great deck and viewing tower. This place had everything we needed. Bikes, snorkelling gear, washer/dryer, plenty of towels, even a library of books and DVD’s. The community of Loreto Bay is beautifully landscaped and has several pools, restaurants and small grocery stores , as well as a beautiful beach, where Jorge rents kayaks and paddle boards. Jorge is quite the character and a hardworking man who is proud of what he does. Sometimes he is late because he is also organazing the day trips and lunches back in town for guests that want to get picked up at the Bay. He is always there before the boats show up to take you to the various islands. We did several day trips in our rented jeep. The area is very safe and Loreto is super clean. San Javier is worth a drive. The mountains are spectacular! The people are very friendly. Coronado Island was absolutely stunning and the marinelife as well as the birds are incredible. We were lucky enough to have a group of dolphines swim right beside our boat so we could take great pictures. This was a great relaxing holiday in a beautiful place! Susan, Tim, Mark, Carmen

Beautiful casa in Loreto Bay

We really enjoyed our stay at Sara’s casa. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We particularly enjoyed the viewing tower where we would have our coffee and enjoy the view of the mountains. I recommend renting a car to take a trip to the mission at San Javier and to make trips into Loreto. There are enough restaurants and shops in Loreto Bay so you don’t need a car but we like to get out and explore the local culture. We had a relaxing two weeks and spent time on the beautiful beach (5 min walk) and the local pool. The house is a Spanish style casa that is tastefully decorated. There was a good selection of movies and books. Also lots of dishes and utensils. Appliances all worked well. The community in which the casa is located is very safe and the landscaping was outstanding. We enjoyed our daily walks through the community and made good use of the local coffee shop. We had only one glitch. When we arrived the living room A/C was not working. A quick call to the property managers resulted in a quick response and a technician was there in 15 minutes to reset the A/C. All the A/C units were top quality and were needed on some days. Overall we loved our stay here and highly recommend staying in Sarah’s casa and enjoy the beautiful scenery where the Sierra Gigantes meet the crystal clear waters of the Sea of Cortez.

Loreto Bay charm

Sara, can't say enough about this gem and we enjoyed our stay at your Chica. It was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We loved the location, even met quite a few of your neighbours too. Loreto Bay is a very close and friendly community. Loved having my morning coffee on the deck watching all those hummingbirds. The calm waters of the sea of Cortez, snorkelling and kayaking were just steps away. Looking forward to the next time we visit this area, as it won't be our last time in Nopolo.

Great setting

The house was very nicely decorated but the dish washer did not work and light bulbs went out and there was no place to purchase them in Loreto Bay. We contacted the care taker of the property but he did not bring us any as he said he would.

Stunning villa with everything you would want or need for a relaxing holiday

An absolutely stunning villa. Balmy breezes wafting through the open windows and the comfy bed contributed to making my stay in Mexico excellent. There are lots of things to do here if you want: bike, kayak, book excursions, fish, golf or you can take it easy and enjoy the three pools and the beach that are minutes away. The way that this villa is decorated reflects the vibrant colours and beauty of the area. Everything in the villa seems to have been acquired with care and thoughtfulness giving me an overall respect for the beauty and craftsmanship of the area. The downstairs bathroom is spacious with a lovely shower and the second bedroom and bathroom are on another floor which really gives you a feeling of privacy. It is so quiet and peaceful, and I spent many hours on the third-floor patio reading, relaxing and enjoying the warmth and panoramic views. The villa is located very close to the airport and the town of Loreto which has numerous quaint shops and excellent restaurants along the waterfront with fresh fish and authentic Mexican food. Every day I enjoyed walks around the adjacent golf course with stunning views of the Sea of Cortez or just around the area where the villa is located. We managed to see lovely sunsets and sunrises that were picture perfect. I could not get enough of the nearby restaurants and the fish tacos and guacamole, wine bars, and terrific breakfast/brunch options. Though I did not golf this time, I am anxious to come back and try out the golf course that is five minutes away. The villa has a complete kitchen and with a grocery store and many restaurants nearby you can cook in or eat out. I really appreciated the washer and dryer and the use of the bicycles and snorkeling gear. One night there was a local band playing in an outdoor common area where many people came to dance or to just listen. An added bonus! There are numerous excursions available and one day we took the option of a day trip to go whale watching. Though I live next to the water in Nova Scotia and have seen seals and other sea life I have never had the opportunity to be in a small boat ( 5 of us) so close to these majestic animals. Exciting! I would highly recommend this villa as an extremely affordable vacation where you can be assured of warm weather and comfortable surroundings. I have traveled a great deal but have seldom stayed in such a beautiful villa which definitely made my first trip to Mexico so memorable.

About the host

Host profile image
Our family uses the casa in Loreto as a jumping off spot for many activities on water and land. We have been involved since the inception of Loreto Bay Village and the casa is located in the Founder's Neighborhood. The community and town of Loreto is charming, quiet, and unique on the Baja and offers much that our Alaskan home does not. As 35 year residents of Alaska we totally enjoy the diversity of climate, scenery, culture and people not found at home.

Why they chose this property

As a professional artist, I have carefully decorated for charm, local flavor and quality. I am sure you will agree the casa is very comfortable, fully furnished and beautiful.

What makes this property unique

My Founder's Neighborhood casa, 386fn, is close to every facility in Loreto Bay, the best coffee breakfast spot, El Corizon, and seven other restaurants. The golf course, swimming pool, the lap pool, and community center for yoga are within steps. The Villa is just one unit off central parking and opens to a large court yard. The casa is also one villa from the golf course. The viewing tower offers incredible sunset views and a lovely sunny spot for morning coffee.
For your use I also offer mountain bikes and snorkel gear for 4 people.
