Tranquil grade II listed barn next to historic windmill
Built in the 1600s, Miller's Barn looks on to one of Kent's last working windmills. It's on the Minnis, where cattle and sheep graze. An idyllic and tranquil spot, 8 miles from the historic city of Canterbury. The Miller's Barn is only 500m from a great pub (with fabulous fish n' chips) and a very friendly, well stocked village shop which has everything you may need during your stay. The windmill is open every Sunday and bank holidays throughout the summer for guided tours and cream teas.

Very pleasant at a property with everything we needed. Very comfy bed/pillows and seating area. Excellent base for our stay to see the area. Lots of little touches to make our stay special. Just a pity the weather wasn’t as thoughtful!
Tamsin, David & family couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Plenty of bedding, towels, tea towels. Spotlessly clean, great facilities all as advertised. Such a beautiful location, looking across the farm circling buzzards or hawks can be seen and there are even binoculars on the window sill to take a better look. We’re quite experienced at renting holiday lets and this was one of the best we’ve had. Great location from where to explore so many places in east Kent, too.

About the host
Hosted by Tamsin Spencer
Myself, husband David and three children love living in Stelling Minnis. The countryside is absolutely beautiful and it's so quiet you'd be forgiven for thinking we were in the middle of nowhere, yet we're just 9 miles outside of Canterbury with its busseling nightlife and fabulous shops and restaurants.
Why they chose this property
The millers barn was built in 1630 as a grain store for the windmill next door. It's been thoughtfully converted into accommodation with a mezzanine level with two single beds, kitchen area, dining room, sitting room bathroom and double bedroom. Here is also a sofabed for additional guests.
What makes this property unique
Staying at The Miller's barn, you are thrust back through history to 1630, yet with all the home comforts of modern living. There are sloping ceilings and lovely old beams throughout.
