Casa Blas for 10 people

Casa Blas, a grand old stone farmhouse dating back to the 17th Century, is situated in the village of Banastón Usana near Ainsa. The imposing oak front door of Casa Blas is reached after passing by a small chapel and through a covered street, the longest of its kind in the region. This former farmhouse has been beautifully restored with great respect for the original structure. Traditional features such as wall recesses, windows and wrought ironwork have been maintained to give a truly authentic feel to this magnificent dwelling.

The entrance hall with its rounded stone ceiling, its stone walls adorned with agricultural artefacts and its original stone vat for storing olive oil plunges you into a wonderfully rustic atmosphere. The first floor is home to a spacious living and dining room with colourful baked earth floor tiles and balcony, a small well equipped kitchen and for those who enjoy taking a step back in time, an authentic Aragonese kitchen. Two delightful double rooms are also to be found on this level.

The top floor has four double rooms with wonderful old decorative floor tiles, a separate bathroom, laundry room and a terrace where the sunsets are not to be missed over the Mediano Lake and surrounding countryside. The amazing width of the stone walls allow guests to enjoy a naturally cool atmosphere in summer as well as great protection from the rigours of winter thanks to a good central heating system.

The owner, who lives nearby is a fountain of information concerning the history of village and for those interested, there is always the possibility of visiting the former bakery, wine making room and alcove sleeping quarters where the owner can regale you with stories from days gone by. In the immediate area you can go for walks (the Villarcillo Chapel is a half hour walk from Banaston) or go horseriding in Banaston Barrio de la Iglesia or Church Quarter. A tour of the region by car is recommended as is a visit to the medieval village of Aínsa. Not to be missed is a visit to the Sierra de Guara Park, the Ordesa Park or the Posets-Maladeta Park, all of which offer and endless array of outdoor activities

très beau cadre tranquille dans le village de Banaston usana

Accueil souple au niveau des horaire d'arrivée et de départ (lorsque cela est possible). La maison est typique en pierre, bien agencée et calme. On peut rejoindre les circuits VTT 6, 13 et 5 juste au dessus du village en montant par la route. En vélo, Ainsa est à 10min (départ des autres circuits VTT). La connexion internet wifi est intermittente. Les habitants du villages sont cordiaux et accueillants.

Con caracter própio

Hemos pasado 4 días en la casa Blas tres parejas con hijos, 6 adultos y 7 niños en total. Semejante grupo supone toda una prueba de estrés para cualquier alojamiento que se precie, sin embargo, el alojamiento ha respondido y superado nuestras expectativas. Ubicado en una pequeña aldea rural, en un entorno natural envidiable, la casa Blas presenta unas excepcionales vistas sobre el término municipal de Aínsa. La cercanía a esta hermosa población medieval permite disfrutar de su oferta cultural y tener cerca servicios de supermercado, bares o restaurantes. La casa es amplia y bien equipada, con un eficiente servicio de calefacción. Permite la estancia a un grupo grande sin agobios. Si bien la cocina es ajustada queda compensado con la presencia de una habitación pensada para cocinar con chimenea o tomarse unas cervezas al amparo de lumbre. Jayne , la encargada de la casa nos atendió muy amablemente y estuvo siempre disponible ante cualquier duda o necesidad. No obstante , lo mejor de la casa Blas es el carácter de auténtica arquitectura rural autóctona, que ha conseguido mantener en la cuidada conservación de la casa, muy lejos de los actuales pastiches pseudo-rurales que abundan en el mercado. Creemos que quién escoja esta casa difícilmente se va a sentir decepcionado.

Highly recommended!

Just back from a lovely weekend in Casa Blas. The photos here don't do it justice - it is a beautiful, rustic house with more than enough space for 12 people (including the annex). The kitchen was extremely well-equipped - complete with plenty of choice of pots and pans, dishes, and a big gas stove. The living room is huge with an extendable table, and two large sofas. The bedrooms are simply and tastefully decorated. Three of the double rooms have their own toilet and shower, and there is one extra bathroom. We loved, and made good use of the traditional aragonese fireplace. It's a small room, just off the kitchen with a huge fireplace and wooden benches round the walls - the perfect place to spend the evening roasting chestnuts! I cannot recommend this house highly enough!
