Beautiful cottage, well presented, perfectly clean and with all equipment you could need for a weeks stay. Living area is small but cosy and plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 large dogs. Wood burner perfect for those colder evenings. Bedrooms well appointed, plenty of storage space in both and very comfortable beds. Enclosed garden area perfect for dog owners. Wine cooler is an excellent idea, plus wines & beers to buy via an honesty box is great and very well priced too. We had a wonderful Christmas break and will definitely return again. Lots to do in and around the area without travelling too far Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely, comfortable cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. It was really nice to receive a text from the owner, Richard, before we arrived so we had his number if we needed anything. Having Netflix in the cottage was really good too. Ramshead Cottage was simply perfect.
Ramshead Cottage was simply perfect. Everything you could want from the cottage itself to the Location, with easy access to the Lakes and local fells which are right on your doorstep. The locals are so friendly and welcoming too. The Cottage itself has everything you would need. A real home from home with treats and additions carefully considered and well thought out for your comfort. The owner keeps in contact and is extremely helpful to make sure that you have the best holiday you can possibly have. They have also carefully planned everything so that the cottage is as safe as it can possibly be with Covid. You know its a safe environment. Everything was spotless and immaculate. We have recommended Ramshead Cottage to all our friends and family so I would book soon as I think holidays will be booked up super fast!! Just fabulous! Very helpful owner. Lovely comfortable stay in the cottage. Very well equipped, brilliant location for us as just off the M6 as we were having a break on our way to Scotland. Downside is you do have to travel a bit to get to any shops. The local pub has decent food though and is very dog friendly.

We have just returned from our mini-moon at Ramshead Cottage and wish we had longer there! Very straight forward drive from Newcastle and a short distance from M6 meant the cottage was easy to find! We were greeted by a modern yet full of original character cosy cottage, lovely and warm - which was nice seeing as the temperature got down to a chilly -6 degrees! Owner Richard sent us a lovely welcome text on arrival and pointed out some greats walks and local markets to visit! We were so pleased to find the cottage has been set up with dogs in mind! The garden is very dog proof, dog towels provided, treats, stair gate, fire guard etc... the kitchen and is well equipped, my husband especially enjoyed the coffee machine! The cottage was spotless, I have been known to take cleaning products when I go away to give it the once over but I certainly didn’t need to do that at Ramshead! We appreciated the starter pack for the open fire and the information booklet left, kept us right! We can’t wait to return for longer next time! Thanks again for a lovely stay

We have booked countless cottages over the years and we would describe Ramshead as one of the best. Richard the owner contacted the day before to introduce himself and to store the contact in case we ran into any issues a really nice touch. The cottage is warm, welcoming and everything you need on hand for your stay. Excellent quality furnishings. Treats on arrival for pooch, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc. Never known any other cottage to provide Netflix which was a bonus on the evening as the weather was poor. Short drive to the Lakes. We had a few meals in the Cross Keys in the Village and were not disappointed. The staff and locals welcomed us and the pooch and we felt comfortable and relaxed. Good starter point to walk the fells. Would totally recommend this cottage without hesitation. Keep doing what you are doing Richard you have got it right. Thank you for making our short break so relaxing only wish we could have stayed longer. Will return in the summer without a doubt.

Lovely cottage, very clean and warm welcome. Beds lovely and comfortable. Shower pressure very low, though that may be because of location. Great for short break, kitchen well equipped but some cupboard space for food would be handy.

Had a lovely 5 day stay at Ramshead Cottage, Tebay with our dogs. Great location for exploring the Lake District and the Dales. Cottage itself is very well equipped with everything that you may need, including coffee tea and milk on arrival. The cottage is great for dogs too, the garden is secure, there was a towel to dry your dog off left in the porch and even outdoor electricity sockets if you need to use your doggie hair dryer to dry them off outside after a day in the Lakes. The bed in the double room is very comfy, we had a very relaxing stay here and the owner of the cottage contacted us on the day of arrival and when we left to ensure that everything was okay. Would recommend to others.
