Relaxing holiday with plenty of wildlife
The house was lovely and very well equipped although there was only limited cupboard space for storing food not requiring refrigeration. However, there is plenty of food preparation areas to counteract this problem. The house is very well equipped with things to entertain the children if the weather is poor or adults require a break. The wildlife is fantastic with pine martens and badgers every night with jam and peanut butter and limited peanuts and bird food also provided. Extra supples are available at local shops. Plenty of local deer too! Our only disappointment was the small room with the double bed which would have been better suited to a single bed as it was a squeeze to negotiate. Overall a wonderful week was had by all! Would gladly come again

Excellent Location
We had a wonderful week at Sea breeze, the weather was lovely, which enabled us to visit and enjoy the surrounding area, plenty of wildlife sightings in the back garden once the peanut butter and jam had been put out, we managed to get photos of 2 pine martens, one night visited by 3 badgers, also caught the deer raiding the bird feeders on night camera. If you want a place which ticks all the boxes this house fits the bill spacious, homely and clean, with excellent communication from the owners and caretakers.

Relaxing escape with superb wildlife
What a wonderful week at sea breeze - beautiful view, otters and porpoises in front of the house and pine martins at the back. We enjoyed visiting out of season as we had Sanna Bay and Castle Tioram all to ourselves. Comfortable, warm and homely accommodation which was well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely home made cake in the welcome hamper too. We'll be back.

A perfect location
As a family we've been coming up to this peninsular regularly for over thirty years, always in late winter/early spring. The House on the Shore is probably the most comfortable and certainly in the best location, of any cottage we have stayed at. The welcome package when we arrived was greatly appreciated (including a beautiful home made cake) and the space for four adults and one tall teenager was more than adequate. The house had everything we could possibly need for our week stay, up to and including, Sky Sports for the beginning of the Rugby League season. A short walk up the road led to an access onto the hills where my two Belgian Shepherds could run freely every morning prior to our daily excursions. A hose pipe to wash them down with afterwards may be a useful consideration, but we happily made use of the loch. We weren't fortunate enough to see the badgers but managed to get some good photos of the pine martins and regularly saw the deer pass in front of the cottage in the early morning. Paul and Christine are great hosts and are extremely accomodating. If you chose to holiday here you will not be dissapointed.

Christmas getaway
After a stressful end of year we really needed a quiet break and to reconnect with wilderness and nature, and this place in this location delivered admirably. Felt like we were in some kind of Disney film with the amount of wildlife outside, food even supplied to keep them happy. Everything we needed was here, just leaving us to relax and enjoy. Bliss

Very pleased with our choice. Had a great time. We saw the pine martins but no badger unfortunately. We did wake up one morning to find 10 (We counted!) deer in the back garden which was amazing. I'm sure we will be back!

Exceptional place to watch wildlife in comfort.
Loved every minute of our stay. The house on the shore was equips with everything we needed. Due to the hot weather there was a small issue with water supply, that was dealt with professionally by the host, who kept us informed of the situation. We shall return.

Perfect
Went with friends to canoe the lochs, perfect location for water sports, the house is on the Loch side with stunning views. There is a balcony overlooking the water which gets the sun for most of the day. The house was clean, tidy and very well equipped, the slow cooker was useful. There is an open fire if you wish to warm the place up, but, we didn't use it as the house is warm enough ( heat exchange system outside.) One of the main attractions of the house has to be the wildlife. The owners encourage this, there was loads of bird food, peanuts, jam and peanut butter. We discovered the reason for the nut and jam....the badgers and the pine martens who visit every night! The martens actually appear in the evening when it's light, and will eat on the rocks outside the bedroom windows. In addition, there are otters and porpoises in the Loch, although we saw the latter further out whilst paddling. I would go to this house again, peaceful, great location and loads to do in the area. Salen is about an hour to walk, there is a shop there and a pub. Nearest bigger shop is about 10 minutes a out of Salen, but Morrisons do deliver for £5.50 if you secure a slot. At the moment, Fort William is about 80 minutes away as the Corran ferry is bust... fuel can be obtained at Strontian, about 40 minutes away.

Stunning property with a beautiful View
On arrival the house was immaculate with lovely welcome basket. Chritine's home-made cake was TDF. Clearly a well-maintained property, we rented for access to the loch for my paddle board. Unfortunately, we only a couple windless days but the surrounding areas and wildlife literally on the doorstep more than made up for it. Communication with Ian and Christine was outstanding and I would highly recommend.

House on the Shore Sea Breeze
The process from choosing the property until checking out was great - good communication from the hosts Paul and Christine and Gail and Ian who look after the house with a call to say when the house was ready for early entry if required. There was no power on one of our days as routine maintenance was taking place and we were informed the night before and the timescale was spot on. That evening we had no water and Ian was on hand again coming to the house with extra water and checking everywhere he could ( this was also an external issue and no fault of the house) and water was back the following afternoon. A nice personal touch with the cake in the fridge upon arrival. The house is well stocked for your stay with good electrical appliances in the kitchen and living room. We had a great stay and would definately return to the house. We thoroughly enjoyes the Kayaks on the water as it was very still and clear as well as watching the wildlife - Badgers, Deer, Pinemartins and many unusual birds. Lots of nice small villages closeby if you drive and there is lots to discover in the area many castles, lochs, beaches and lighthouses. Thanks for a cosy homely stay!

An excellent property in a beautiful location surrounded by wildlife witinteresting geological feat
We enjoyed Sea Breeze very much. The owners do not stint in providing guests with the equipment and comforts that make a home-from-home. The location, right on the shore of Loch Sunart, is beautiful and peaceful, but also gives fairly easy access to shops, cafes and restaurants. Loch Sunart entertains simply by being there, changing with the light and tides. We enjoyed trips to Tobermory and the Lighthouse as well as shorter forays to Castle Teoram and Ardtoe. The volcanic areas are also of great interest Disappointingly, some local attractions are fully or partially closed - the wildlife hide is closed and “The Wildlife Visitor and Exhibition Centre” is operating simply as a shop and cafe - perfectly nice, but without any exhibition centre (sad results of the pandemic?) But there is plenty of wildlife at Sea Breeze, from mergansers on the Loch (plus a late evening otte r sighting), a flurry of birds on the feeders, including Siskin, the pine marten and badgers who visited nearly every evening, to the deer who appeared outside the windows twice, at dusk. We would enjoy visiting again, and will definitely recommend to friends.

Just perfect!
Sea Breeze is such a comfortable, well equipped property, it truly is a home from home! Everything you could possibly need is provided. The views from the living room are simply stunning and constantly change from sunrise to sunset. We were very lucky with the weather and this allowed us to fully enjoy the area. But you didn’t need to go far for points of interest - from the views at the front to the wildlife at the back! We saw a huge variety of birds, but the stars were the badgers and the pine marten who visited every evening - sometimes all at once! We had a magical time and I would highly recommend Sea Breeze.
