About this property
Old Tobacco Barn Luxury French Country Retreat With Pool, hot tub and Views
This stunning 100-year-old tobacco barn and farmhouse is a generous country retreat in very pretty area of rural France that is steeped in history. It offers charming, comfortable, private and spacious accommodation set in 2,400m2 of tranquil countryside. This is the highest house in the Tarn et Garonne, the views are truly magnificent from every part of the property. On a clear day you can see the Cantal mountains 120k to the north and the Pyrenees 200k to the south. The original house and barn built in 1896 and 1901 now form one building and were converted to this five-bedroom luxury home by the present owner. The house is well-equipped, with comfortable beds and Egyptian cotton bed-linen and towels. The main floor creates a huge living area, ideal for large groups and includes a large conservatory, swimming pool, hot tub and multiple terraces. There is plenty of parking plus optional garaging.

Musicians and older children can make as much noise as they like- there are only cows to hear and they don’t complain often. The stunning countryside and quiet winding roads make for interesting and fun driving. The house makes an ideal base as there is plenty of parking and garaging is available for touring cars and motorbikes if required. There are also plenty of walks on the doorstep and the house sits just above the PR2 Promenades et Randonees routes that are found throughout France, making the house a perfectly situated for two and four-legged walkers alike.
