Beautiful modern family home in Diemen, 2 minutes from public transport into Amsterdam (10 minutes from East / Artis zoo) The house is light, 150 m2, modern design (fully refurbished in 2017) and is fully equipped for families with 3 children or couples. Spacious sunny garden with bbq, picnic table and trampoline.
The ground floor has a spacious living room with open kitchen that leads into the garden with lots of sun.
On the first floor is the master bedroom with a double bed, kids room with a crib and the bathroom with shower and bath.
On the top floor another bedroom with a double sofa bed and a kids room with a single bed.
For groups of 5 or 6 adults we have two extra single beds we can place in the kids room on the top floor.
No bachelor parties or groups with more than 6 adults.
There is an extra baby bed, dresser and a kids chair available.
Toys are available for kids from 0 to 6 years.
If needed we can bring you in contact with our / a babysitter.
Beamer with big screen on the wall, instead of a TV. Connected to all TV stations and Netflix :-) Including soundbar.
The fireplace cannot be used for safety reasons.
The neighborhood is kids friendly and has a big playground nearby.
There is an Italian take-away, an Indonesian take-out and an Italian restaurant all within a 2-minute walk.
The supermarket is a 10 minute walk, lots of shops in the Diemen shopping center like pharmacy, butcher, bakaery and fish shop.
The house is close to the ring road (A10) and easily accessible from Schiphol airport. An Uber costs 30 euros.
Public transport from the airport to Diemen takes 30 minutes by train and bus.
Public transport into Amsterdam is a 2-minute walk to tram 19. This will take you directly to Artis Zoo, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk museum and Leidse square (cinema, shopping, pubs, night clubs).
Long-term parking is nearby and costs 7 euros a day. Parking in the street is only allowed for two hours with a parking disc (we have one for you).
When you check in there will be a binder with all the information you need, like:
- important addresses and telephone numbers (emergencies, doctors, hospital, pharmacy)
- a map with all important surroundings (supermarket, atm, tram stop, restaurant, take away etc)
- WiFi
- guide for projector and Netflix
- where to park your car
- how to get into town by public transport
- how to dump your waste
- guide for the kitchen appliances
- websites with good recent info (from locals) about things to do, restaurants, clubs etc. We use this site ourselves.
- how to check out
- important house rules. You're staying in a child-friendly neighborhood so we are beware of each other. We hope you respect this!
