This property was perfect for our visit to Princeton for a workshop. Wonderfully located, clean, and spacious. It could use a tiny bit of maintenance - most of the stove burners didn’t work and the light was burnt out in the bathroom. But we were very happy with it and would absolutely stay again!
The property was very convenient and the neighbors were very nice. We had a great time
But why am I getting requests to rate the stay a 11 months later?
5 adults over Christmas. Fireplace worked well. No problem with hot water with 5 people. Double bed in one room tilted to one side. Resolved by stuffing many pillows under mattress to level bed. Few towels and dishtowels. washer and dryer superb. Great place for our Golden Retriever. Door to back yard passes cold air so heat is on most of the time. Furnaced worked real well. Safety alert:front and back porched are tiled. THEY are very slippery. We had to put rubber yoga mats on porches to walk safely.

Great location, humble condition
I knew that the price point and photos indicated that the property would be humble. That did not matter to me, or my family. We were in Princeton for a wedding and wanted to stay together so we could hang out. So the three bedrooms and 2.5 baths was a big plus. There is sleeping for five, not six. One bedroom with a king, one with a queen, and one with a twin. We brought an air mattress just in case, thank goodness. Since we were going to a wedding the two bathrooms were needed so we could all get ready at the same time. But the bathroom in the hallway had a significant leak and the water poured down the walls on the first floor. So that made only one shower useable, and that shower was in one of the bedrooms, giving that couple very little privacy. The two front burners on the stove did not work. The sheets on the king size bed had hair between the fitted sheet and the top sheet(a lot) and we went to buy new sheets. If they use a cleaning service, clearly they did not actually change the sheets between renters. We sent an email to the owner of the VRBO email and never heard a thing.
This house has some awesome character! It’s an old house but has been updated. The owner has provided everything a person could need. The art in the home is beautiful! The owner gave some wonderful suggestions for restaurants that were close. Local Greek was awesome! Be sure to sit on the back porch with some wine or coffee and watch the squirrels play. The neighborhood was very peaceful. We were not given any kind of instructions on what to do cleaning wise before we left so I feel bad that we left dirty towels in the bathrooms and trash in the trash cans. I did send a message about what to do but never received a response. I don’t know how trash in New Jersey is taken care of. We would definitely stay here again.
Everything was ok but beds were very uncomfortable to sleep on. I have a bad back and could only sleep on one of the 3 beds. Would not be able to stay here again, which is too bad, we loved the area and the college.
