Renata, the owner, ASKED me to write her documentation of my review to submit to her HR contact, as she AGREED it was a horrible experience, and as things transpired, I only came to find she was also completely unprofessional.
We booked this property well in advance, paying over $9K in full, and even spoke to the property manager Melinda who assured us it would be a flawless covid-healthy experience and vacation.
Upon arrival on July 3, 2021, we arrived to a complete disaster.
We left at 7am that morning with small kids in the backseat, and arrived at 4:30pm. When I went to the unit to get the garage door opener (my husband stayed in our packed car and ornery kids), I arrived to complete disgust. The place was an absolute mess, and I have photos to prove it. Clearly, the cleaning services never arrived, and I was incredibly turned off seeing the place dirty, that I cannot get that out of my head. And with covid!
If you were a mother during covid how would you feel with your babies staying in someplace less than par... for $9K?!
Regardless, I called Melinda in panic. Her immediate response was to panic as well, without hearing my dismay. She told me there was a mixup with the cleaning services (obviously) and that she would get a cleaner in. However, throughout our entire conversation, she never once had compassion for our situation- being in the car, seeing the place in filth, paying thousands for a disastrous arrival, etc. We were the victims, being treated in an unbelievable manner, and having paid so much money.
On top of it, the cleaning lady arrived with her "assistant," who happened to be her HUSBAND... no masks, etc. I don't know how much they really cleaned as I did a clean over after and have photos to prove even more filth from my cleaning (I sent the photos to Melinda and she never replied). Also, there was still laundry in the machine, so I took it to myself to finish up. All in all, a terrible experience which really set the tone for the property and our long awaited vacation.
Throughout our stay, Renata told us that she was too busy to "deal with us due to running a million-dollar company," and to contact her handyman with all concerns. When the washer stopped working (numerous times during spin cycle), he told US to bang it, unplug it, etc. We PAID for a working washer.
I am appalled by the lack of care, kindness and professionalism. I do not recommend dealing with Renata's properties AT ALL.
