Summer Wind on the Beach

PLEASE NOTE, DURING THE HIGH SEASON (MID MAY TO MID SEPTEMBER) WE ARE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY RENTALS ONLY.

Dine on our deck as you watch the Ocean. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is located on the beach!! The condo is close to everything, including The Wright Brother's Memorial, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds. The living room has a pull out full size bed. The beach closet is located on the ground level, and loaded with beach toys, fishing poles, blankets, and beach chairs for your use. All rentals include bed, bath, and kitchen linens. Please bring your own beach towels. The common area includes charcoal grills, and picnic tables. There is a coin operated laundry room, and luggage lift on site. There are no elevators, and covered parking is limited, but there is plenty of open parking available.

Great Views

Perfect little spot to be right on the beach in no time. Dolphins swam by several times a day playing. Sunrise and set were gorgeous and the owner was very responsive to all questions.

Everything was just as stated in the listing. Condo was clean and had everything you could want for a vacation stay. Enjoyed breakfast on the porch every morning watching the waves! Host was very nice and accommodating. Would return!

Perfect vacation spot

This property is in the perfect spot. It’s close to so many things and view of the beach is awesome. Everything was extremely clean and easy to access. The owners were very communicative and approachable. This was our first trip to OBX and we will definitely use this property if/when we come back!

Great place

We had a great time. Heat pump was not working when we arrived but Tom was easy to get in touch with and he had it fixed asap. Condo was near the beach and we had a great view. I would definitely recommend this place!

Very Relaxing!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it! The beach is right in your backyard and you can hear the ocean as you wake up. Plus you’re about 5-10 minutes from everything!

Wonderful condo

We had a terrible weather week so we were very grateful that the condo was comfortable because we spent a lot of time in it. I had a great experience from the time of booking to check out. It was very clean and comfortable. We used some of the games and puzzles. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here !

Great condo on the beach

The condo was very nice. Great location too. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. Even on bad weather days we appreciated the view right outside the door. The owner was also very good about communication.

Smelly bathroom

The stench of urine in the en suite bathroom trumps anything positive I could say about this condo. It should not have been rented out in this condition.

A good place to stay on the beach . Plenty of space in condo to move about . Near a few restaurants and couple streets over is grocery stores.

Great stay!

Family was vacationing at OBX and a few of us wanted to start vacation early. This condo was perfect for 3 additional days at the beach. The owners, Tom and Vicki, were very responsive, location was great and accommodations were well represented in description and photos. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies, lots of beach supplies in the closet. I would highly recommend this condo for your OBX getaway.

Comfortable apartment stay steps from the beach

We had a great time at Summer Wind. It was the perfect size for our family of 3 although there's space for 6 if you convert the couch. Check-in was very easy. We were impressed by the size of the kitchen which was great because we prepared simple meals there. It's close proximity to shops/restaurants while being steps from the beach was a bonus. A couple things to keep in mind if you do stay here. (1) The apartment is 2 floors up with no elevator. There is a luggage elevator. (2) There is no food, condiment, seasoning, coffee, tea, etc. provided so if you plan on cooking, make sure you bring every ingredient or plan on buying it. Food Lion and Publix are nearby. Thank you for the wonderful stay Tom and Vicki.

Perfect spot!

The location couldn't have been better! Spent many mornings and evenings on the porch watching the ocean and the beachgoers! Condo was clean and had a kitchen with all your cooking needs, beds were comfy, Tom was a great host and kept us updated on all we needed to know for a great stay!

Location, location, location

This property is in a great location. Great views of the ocean from the porch. Walking distance to our favorite OBX bar Goombays! Definitely order the steamed shrimp if you go.

First condo

The views were great and sooo close to the beach! But, there were dishes left in the dishwasher, a bag of the last tenants laundry was on the walkway, the screen door was broken and there was a tear in the screen to the master bedroom and no toilet paper as advertised. But it was still a good vacation

Breakfast on the beach

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is beautiful, and is very comfortable and clean. It has a great view of the ocean and beach. The owner answered any questions quickly. We highly recommend staying here.

It was pretty good

The bed seemed a lot smaller than a Queen, seemed more like a full. The inside was nice but the outside could really use some work, the outer door was broken and the actual front door was very hard to open and close. The communication with the property manager was great though!

Mother's Day Getaway

This condo is right on the waterfront which is one reason we went with this rental. Unfortunately we had an issue with the heat, but the owner was very prompt with resolving the problem.
