About this property

The old grocer's shop

Near Sées, in the heart of castles and Norman studs, this 18th century house opens onto a large private and closed garden of 1500 m2 overlooking the forest and the grove. It is located in a protected site classified Natura 2000, in the Regional Natural Park Normandy Maine. Many marked trails through the countryside will delight hikers. The GR 22 and GR 36 pass through the Ecouves forest nearby.
A meeting with the nature.
This house has a beautiful history: it is the old grocery store of the village (see photos). The grocery store has become a room in which you will find the bell entrance to the ceiling and the tiles that have kept the traces of the many passages through the centuries ... The kitchen as for it was the old cafe of the village and she kept its friendly side with its large stone fireplace Caen. A big leap in time!
The entrance is through the kitchen / dining room which is the central room: it gives access to the bedroom on the south side and the living room on the west side which communicates with the bathroom.
You will find all the necessary equipment in the 18th century Normandy buffet to simmer some good meals or make pies and cakes in the gas stove. You have a dishwasher.
In the living room, a large comfortable sofa two armchairs and a double bed. Note that you have a TV with a DVD player and a vintage stereo ... Books on Normandy and tour guides in the library.
In the room with a double bed and a single bed you will find a toy box with children's books.
In the old dairy, small outbuilding in the courtyard, at your disposal: a barbecue, an outdoor table, garden chairs and a wood shed.
I restored respecting its original features: beams, tiles and beautiful stones. I am often told that it provides welfare :)
It is intended for return to nature lovers who want to live at their own pace.
The entrance is through the kitchen courtyard. You can park your car in the courtyard which is closed by a gate.
At your disposal: guides and map of the region. I regularly reside in a more recent independent part and I am available for the delivery of keys and your home.
