This classic Chico porch house lies on the historic Humboldt Wagon Road. The interior features a light and airy atmosphere with new amenities throughout. The property backs up to Little Chico Creek with greenbelt on one side and friendly neighbors on the other. Only seven blocks to Bidwell park and downtown!
My father and I completely remodeled this space in the Fall/Winter of 2016. The creek side location, classic porch and convenient location all make this the perfect pad for your trip to Chico!

This property has been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean. The EV charger is a BIG plus! The house is near to everything we wanted to experience. If there is a downside it is the local traffic noise - which is significant 24/7... but nothing the owner can control. Bring your own measuring cups if you plan to cook/bake, because there are spoons, but no dry cups. The wifi also went in an out so we had to use our hotspots a few times as well. We'd definitely stay again next time we're in Chico.
We enjoyed our stay. The newly renovated bungalow was lovely, comfortable with nice amenities. We spent 13 days and enjoyed exploring the town, especially the dog park, we brought our canine friends. I worked out at Planet Fitness. We enjoyed our runs and walks and overall had a relaxed time in Chico.
Fine spot. Great local coffee house close by - Has Beans. Met interesting local folks there with lots of history of the area. Close to city center - walkable. Close to Bidwell - also walkable.
Loved this little house!
The beds were comfortable the bathrooms were clean and updated and the kitchen has everything you need to make a meal.
I was really happy that there was coffee, cream and sugar provided. When you get in late and aren’t able to get to the store it’s wonderful to be able to have that cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
Great stay, had a wonderful time. Would love a few more nice pans in the kitchen to cook with but that was really all I could think of to make it even better.
Very spacious and comfortable little craftsman bungalow updated and remodeled nicely. We had plenty of room with all necessary amenities. Having an ev the car charger was very convenient. The porch is wonderful for cool mornings and evenings - the only suggestion there would be a screen door. Host was very communicative and friendly. Highly recommend and we shall return again.
A wonderful house for a visit to Chico. Walking distance from Cafe Code and Helen's Donut Nook is a huge perk, and it seemed like a quiet part of town while we were there.
The house was extremely clean and well appointed. It was an oasis in a very hot and tiring trip moving my daughter into her rental house on her college journey. I could not have been more pleased with the accommodations.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for us and our dog. There was no problem finding the house or gaining entry. The house was absolutely immaculate and just as described. We will definitely stay there again.
The house was clear, had all the amenities, and only a 4 minute drive to downtown Chico. Very spacey to have family to come over for a few hours. Supplies for cooking, showing, and cleaning were provided.
The rental is recently remodeled and has a modern open floor plan. It is close to downtown, Sierra Nevada Brewery and Lower Bidwell park. The backyard’s low back fence gives you a view of the Little Chico Creek.
Our family with 2 dogs stayed here a couple of nights to visit family in Chico, House is exactly as presented and met our needs well. It is centrally located and close to everything. As others have noted, Chico has a large homeless problem and some are camped nearby on the creek. I walked
The place was great for us while in town for a game. The house is perfect for 4 people. We found it clean, neat, and well stocked. Only two additions would be 2 more chairs so all could eat at the table and a wider bathroom door for the visible door from living room. We loved the open floor plan and fenced backyard. We appreciate the warning of the intermittent homeless camp close by. There were no issues, just a potential. We will stay again when there is only 4 of us.
After reading some of the other reviews we were a little concerned about the surrounding area, but had no issues at all! The house is incredibly clean, modern, and decorated in a way that feels warm and comforting. The setup was perfect and we had everything we needed. Super close to downtown! Our dog enjoyed the closed in backyard where she could walk around, sniff and do her thing…and we didn’t have to watch her. We will DEFINITELY stay here again when we go to visit our daughter in college. Thanks Rogers for the awesome place and swift and easy communications! Until next time…!

My father and I have always loved Chico. Warm summer nights, the magnificent shade trees, the Sycamore pool in Bidwell Park, and the Sierra Nevada Brewery are just a few of the things that add to the friendly small town atmosphere with a college town vibe.
Why they chose this property
This property was in some serious need of TLC when we bought it. It was completely renovated in the Fall & Winter of 2016. We are excited to share it with you!
What makes this property unique
The proximity to downtown, Bidwell Park and surrounding greenbelt make this a cool spot to explore and get around Chico. Enjoy some R&R out on the front porch or in the spacious back yard that backs up to Little Chico Creek.
