Good central location for the Mendips, coast, Bristol, Glastonbury and Wells. The house is very well equipped and the owner very helpful. The kids loved watching the rabbits in the fields.
Very clean and comfortable house in large beautiful garden. Very quiet. Nice and welcoming host. Many extras like washing machine, well equipped kitchen, use of lounge chakra in garden
We had the most wonderful time. Cottage was clean tidy and has everything you need for your stay. Location beautiful and perfect for walks, Cheddar Gorge, Wells market and Cathedral. Thanks so much John for a nice welcome.
We had a very special time at this property in the middle of summer with our teen daughters hiking and relaxing in the fields with the sheep and barn cat in the golden evenings. The house was very comfortable with everything you need. And the main house is right out of a West Country period film.

Perfect rental house, beautiful location, very comfortable and well appointed.
Beautiful location, very well equipped and comfortable property. It had everything we needed and the owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. We couldn’t fault our stay, the property, the owners or anything else. Their dogs were delightful too! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage.
Perfect base to explore the area. Plenty of space for the two of us, nice large sofa to lounge on after a long day out and about. Host was very nice and welcomed us when we arrived (socially distanced of course) .
We would definitely stay again.
This was our second visit to this property as we loved it so much during our first stay. Our return trip was even better than the first! Lovely property, friendly but non intrusive owners and the most beautiful surroundings. We didn’t want to leave!
Well maintained and well equipped property; extremely clean. It is ideally placed to visit the local area, including Bristol and Bath. The owners are extremely welcoming but not intrusive; the property is in the grounds of their beautiful home but has its own privacy. Would certainly recommend.
Lovely cottage for a getaway with friendly owner on hand if needed. Cottage was very clean and well furnished and the private access into the woodland at the back of the property was a great highlight. Ensure you bring slippers as some of the furniture corners catch you out occasionally but apart from that I have no complaints at all - lovely little place and we will return in future I'm sure.
Location was excellent, walking from door and easy access all over area. Beautiful grounds and views. Could hear the traffic on the road but it wasn't instrusive in any way. Ideal for two people. We just felt it needed an extra bit of attention in a few areas: there was quite a bit of dust and cobwebs in corners although bathroom and kitchen etc were very clean indeed. Kitchen utensils basic and some needed renewing. Living space a little cramped due to very large sofa and storage in bedroom difficult as in eaves and no decent chest of drawers. However, lots of storage downstairs for boots, walking gear, coats etc which is always helpful. Super fast broadband and good TV. We would visit again as so much to do and see in that area and it is a very good base.
Stunning surroundings in the Mendip Hills. Lovely barn converted accommodation. Did everything it says on the tin and more. Stayed here for 6 days, but could of stayed a lifetime.
Thanks again to the owners from Sam & Laetitia
From booking the cottage onwards there were no problems. The account was well equipped and homely. Check-in was just as the instructions we were given. The walks from the cottage were amazing, and there was a private footpath to the woods. Jon made us feel really welcome and advised us about where to walk in the area. Our dog loved the gardens and Lola Jon's dog..
We spent a lovely few days at the cottage. It is perfectly situated for beaches, towns and walks on the hills. We were lucky with the weather and it was so nice to be able to walk onto the hills behind the cottage. Jon was very welcoming and gave excellent details of getting to the property. We will be back!
Had a great time staying at this stunning cottage! You only have to open the front door to be surrounded on all sides by beautiful scenery!
The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and looks exactly like it does in the photos!
Jon and Susie went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible!
If you’re looking for a lovely getaway (or for a longer stay), I can only recommend you book!
