Hi Everyone, my name is Mark, Im English but I have been an Expat living and working in China for 18 years, I purchased La Bichurie in 2015 and started the renovation process on the two houses which date back to the 16th and 17th Century, I worked in Psychology and TCM Traditional Chinese Medicine, I live in another house on property with my two dogs
Why they chose this property
I was looking for French property for more than three years. I viewed hundreds of properties all over France and I eventually found and instantly fell in love with La Bichurie as soon as I drove through the gates. It's tranquility and connection the land and with nature is amazing, it has an amazing aura and peace. The property is organic with no chemicals used for at least 15 years to my knowledge. I set up a wonderful yoga/meditation studio with beautiful wooden floors, heating and Buddhist area with Buddhas, Deities, Chrystals and Thangka paintings, this facility has been blessed by a Tibetan Monk and can be used by guests for meditation, yoga, tai chi, qi gong, mindfulness, and spiritual practices. The studio is surrounded by a large wooden deck for outside practice which overlooks a small pond with water feature. A massage table, foot spa are available.
What makes this property unique
Beautiful, handmade Malas, bracelets, and jewelry are available at La Bichurie from Tibet as are original photographs and artwork by Mark the owner. Meditations and spiritual events are scheduled throughout the year and Mark is available to discuss TCM and Mindfulness as required by guests at La Bichurie. Nature is literally on our doorstep, Deer, Red Squirrels, Owls, Eagles, Bats, Pheasants, Woodpeckers, Pine Martins, Wild Pigs, and many beautiful birds are frequent visitors at La Bichurie, the sky has no light pollution so the night sky is amazing for star watching and the orchard has apples, pears, peaches, cherries, plums, figs, walnuts, hazelnuts, chestnuts and blackberries for guests to help themselves whilst on their stay. The large patio at the rear of the house has a large stone BBQ for your enjoyment.
