Welcome to Boardwalk 13!

Are you looking for peace and quiet? There is no better place than Boardwalk 13. Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals is happy to off you this great value priced place to stay. This home is nicely furnished and equipped that will sleep 6 people. Located on Cape San Blas in the Boardwalk Community. This home is not gulf front but there is very easy access to the private community beach. The community also has a pool for your enjoyment. This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath home perfect for a couple or a small family. The home will sleep up to six people. The porches and sundecks provide great space for rest and relaxation, there is even a sink to clean up your catch of the day. The gas grill is also right there for you to grill up something special with your daily catch.

This home features a nice open living area, kitchen and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher, cable TV/DVD and a nice furnished screened porch off of the living area.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place to lay your head. The house is in good shape. The appliances are outdated and are in need of replacement though. We had no issues with anything not working during our stay. There was an ant issue the entire time during our stay in the double twin bed guest room that I hope got treated. I would also suggest replacing the mattresses in the master and guest bedrooms, they have seen better days. I would rent this house again and the rental staff is very polite and courteous.

You will only stay once

When we arrived, they told us it was ready for check in and it hadn't been cleaned or any of the beds made. So I immediately called the office and caught them just before they closed and they said the owner had just stayed there and not informed them he left. So they had someone to come and clean who were in a hurry and so we ended up cleaning a lot ourselves. This place is extremely dated. The pink carpet has stains and was so dirty we went into town to buy rugs to put down everywhere so we could walk around. The refrigerator ran 24/7 and very loudly. We had specifically asked if the bed had been updated because of the reviews and had been told it had been. We never had one good nights sleep!~Not sure where he purchased it but I'm guessing a second hand store. Our daughters came to visit for 4 days and we thought we could use the couch pullout bed but when we opened it the topper had a huge urine stain. The pots and pans are horrible. The neighbor said nobody ever stays here twice and we can see why. We would gladly pay double the amount next time to stay in a place that felt clean and updated. There is so many more things to say, but I recommend not staying here. We even left a week early!!!

Convenient to everything!

The house was conveniently located to the pool and beach including close to nearby restaurants. The screen porch was a great place to sit and read. The house had been updated some with a very clean feel.

Lovely place, needs updated

This place was clean as advertised. It does need to be updated, however retry much everything was in great working order. The WiFi connected but did not work for the first couple days. The coffee pot would not drain and make coffee properly. When I tried to contact the host about the coffee maker and WiFi I never got a reply. We had to hold the pot in place in order to make coffee. Otherwise we had a great stay, the location we great as well!

We laughed at the pink ruffled shower curtain, not our style but it worked. Great location - we loved the boardwalks everywhere - and that we could have a bonfire on the beach! Great central location for the area - we explored the islands, Apalach/East End, and St. Joe - all a short drive. There were two negatives about the place, but not so bad they ruined our stay or enjoyment of the house. 1) the master bed was very uncomfortable and could use a thick topper. 2)the neighbor across the street watched everything we did, and even took a picture of our boat within 2 minutes of us parking it. We just smiled and waived at her but she definitely added some frustration to every day. Management staff was great a quick to respond with any question.

Nice house but tired

The beach house itself is very comfortable and has a great location. We understand that beach houses are used hard inside and take a beating from the weather outside, but even so, it's time for this house to get some updates: the beds are old and unsupportive, kitchen items need replacing (like ancient, rusty can openers, an absolutely gross dish drain, and dishwasher door with a broken spring). The outdoor mat that met us at the front door was so old, the center was missing and the edges were worn to rags. In the laundry closet, the furnace filter was filthy, and although we called and asked for a replacement, none ever came. We were enjoying the gulf and the bay too much for this to have a huge effect on our vacation, but suggest that this very nice beach house needs a little more attention from both owners and VRBO.

It was pretty quiet for the whole week and we got plenty of time in on the beach and at the pool. The beds are really the worst part of this property. They were horrible. Any support or cushion was gone. It felt like sleeping on a sagging wooden platform on springs. Honestly, it was more comfortable to sleep on the couch.

Bay access is a little farther down the road. The layout of the house is nice and it was very clean. It's definitely time for an update, it's starting to show it's age. The worst part of our stay was by far the beds. I can only liken them to sleeping on plywood. If you like a firm mattress you'll still want to bring a topper. The bed bounces like crazy and squeaks every single time. We had to stuff pillows between the headboard and wall to quiet it.

Nice Quiet Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I stayed celebrating our 11th anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Used the VayK credit to get a kayak and beach umbrella. As far as the house goes, it was a little older, but everything was clean and comfy. The master bed is really hard, though. We enjoyed the bay on one side and the beach on the other. Just a short drive north up the cape and you can go to the state park and enjoy whiter sands and clearer water.
