Cottage-Well located- in attractive village
Main concern is broken handrail on the couple of steep steps to back garden. Raised with owners who are attending to this.

Pretty cottage in great location
Just back from a 4 night stay - great little cottage with everything you need for a getaway. The village is perfect with two lovely welcoming pubs and lots of walks. Bamburgh, Holy Island and Berwick not far away either. The cottage itself was lovely - very clean and excellent standard. Finding somewhere to take two dogs isn’t easy but this was great!

A gem of a find
The cottage is so welcoming and cosy, Travelling up the owner left a lovely message saying if any problems to just ring them. It didn't feel like a holiday home as so many personal touches made it a home from home.

A perfect little cottage.
A perfect little cottage for two people in a lovely village with excellent facilities ie butchers, bakers, general store and pub. Very close to the paths along the Tweed and Norham castle. The cottage has a bright sun porch facing south off the kitchen which is lovely for sitting in. Everything is in very good condition and the owners are very welcoming and helpful.

A fantastic week in beautiful Northumberland
Turner Cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, in a very quiet and peaceful location, overlooked by the impressive ruins of Norham Castle. It is very dog friendly. Parking is on the street outside. This is the third Border Holiday Homes property we have stayed in; as usual, the arrangements were clear and straightforward. The village shop (just along the street) sells everything and the butcher (just a bit further along) is also excellent. We particularly liked their bacon and sausage rolls for breakfast. The bakery is only open part time; we would recommend ringing them up and placing an order to be collected during their open hours, to be sure of getting what you want. Norham is a good base for all sorts of trips and activities; we had no trouble at all finding lots of things we wanted to do. There are lots of suggestions in the visitors book.

Lovely quiet cottage
Lovely quiet cottage in a great location to explore the Borders. It has all amenities you need, with a great shower in the en-suite and log burner in the Lounge. Nice summer room that would be great when the temperature allows. Do not expect great phone signal, but WiFi worked fine, albeit TV a bit fiddly to get working. Local pub serves great food and drink and is well worth supporting, as is the local baker and butcher.

A comfortable short break
We were very happy with our stay at Turner Cottage. It was extremely well equipped with everything you could need and very cosy and warm. Just perfect. Our dogs loved their walks by the river and the villagers were all so friendly and welcoming.

Turner cottage, Norham
Great wee cottage, well equipped. Conservatory got very toasty one afternoon but in the house it was a bit cool at times, though we never lit the wood burner. Heating controlled remotely but you can ask for it to be adjusted. Norham a great base for exploring north Northumberland, and some lovely local walks by the Tweed though the path downstream of Norham is closed. Great butcher, and surprisingly well stocked little local shop in the village. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

Short Break
We had a lovely time in Northumberland the village was very quiet but a good base to get around the county. Berwick, Alnwick, and Bamburgh are a must to visit. We will definitely be back to visit Northumberland again.

Time to relax @ Turner Cottage
My husband and I enjoyed a short break at Turner Cottage over the Jubilee weekend ( to celebrate my retirement) and it was very relaxing. Comfy bed, great shower and really enjoyed just chilling out in the sun room and garden. When we arrived on Thursday evening it was great to join the locals queuing for fish and chips from the van that calls ( just on a Thursday) as that is the one evening that the local pub doesn’t do food. We had a great lunch there on the Friday and enjoyed the Sunday roast too, it’s great when you can get away from doing the cooking although there was a perfectly good kitchen at Turner Cottage. Our only disappointment was not being able to enjoy the gardens at nearby Paxton House ( as it was not suitable for my husband’s electric wheelchair) we did manage to have a nice lunch there though. All in all a great few days away and great service from Christine and John, who popped in to get us sorted with the television.

Midweek getaway
Lovely cottage and lovely village. Pictures don't do the cottage justice. Everything you need and very comfortable. The local pub the Mason arms sells lovely food and dogs are allowed. Castle a stone's throw away, which was very interesting. We went to the beach in Berwick as well, we all loved it. Long walk along the river is aust do. Didn't want to leave.

Thank you!
We had a much needed rest. We loved the conservatory! Warm sunshine and comfortable chairs. The only two things that need attention are (1) the wobbly tap in the kitchen that made us anxious each time we used it, and (2 ) the loose lavatory seat. Thank you. We loved our visit to St. Abbs in particular.

Well Located
The property was well located and had most of what was needed. Could do with another oven glove and an extra oven tray. Very dusty in places. Have stayed in lots of cottages and feel that this one is overpriced.

Perfect Getaway
Absolutely stunning property in the gorgeous village of Norham. Beautifully furnished and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Little touches like a welcome basket, festive decorations and chocolates made it a perfect New Year getaway. Also dog friendly which is perfect. Located in the centre of the village. 5 minutes walk up to the castle and 5 minutes to the Masons Arms.

Charming, cosy cottage in a beautiful village
Cottage is beautifully refurbished and well equipped. The village has everything you need - dog friendly pub, butcher, bakers, a small general shop and a castle! We arrived on the day of Storm Arwen and were in contact with the owners Christine and John who were very friendly and helpful. Due to the weather we didn’t (and couldn’t!) venture far but the cottage was perfect for a relaxing cosy weekend.

Lovely few days at Turner Cottage
A late decision to have a few days away we were lucky Turner Cottage was vacant for the few days we required. Very pleased with the accomodation and the area, would definitely go again.

We had been searching for a suitable property in Norham to add to our family group of holiday cottages. When we saw Turner Cottage we knew it was just perfect for holiday guests

Why they chose this property

The cottage was in the ideal location as it was close to the River Tweed and to Norham Castle. It needed a lot of renovation but we knew that it would be loved by guests. the village has an unusual mix of shops - bakers, butchers, delicatessen selling fine wines and a country shop selling fishing equipment and clothing

What makes this property unique

It is in the centre of this friendly village and has an enclosed garden which is useful for guests who bring their pets
