Lyndale Cottage is a delightful Grade II listed cottage, full of character and situated on the beautiful Rame Peninsula, in the historic village of Kingsand. The cottage is the second oldest in the village and was built from parts of a ship that had been wrecked on the Eddy Stone Rock.
Kingsand and Cawsand offer a haven of peace and tranquillity. Relax on the beach, in one of the village pubs or cafés or take a stroll through the narrow streets of colour washed cottages and shops.
Swimming, fishing, windsurfing and water skiing are all available on the beaches, or you can follow the coast path through the village and the Mount Edgcumbe Estate to Cremyll. In the other direction the coast path takes you round the headland to the glorious sandy beach of Whitsand Bay.
From Cawsand, and just a few minutes’ walk from the property, you can take a passenger ferry across to the city of Plymouth which offers an abundance of high street and independent shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, theatres and attractions to suit everyone. The Barbican and Hoe are steeped in history and are definitely worth a visit.
If you’re feeling energetic then Dartmoor is a mere half an hour away, as are Looe and Polperro, with Bodmin Moor only 45 minutes away.

We stayed 3 nights and the beds and linen very comfortable.
We stayed 3 nights and the beds and linen very comfortable. The cottage is quaint and in a quiet village with a few pubs and a bakery and small SPAR. Parking is just across in a parking lot that you need to pay for but the price is reasonable. Lovely cottage but not for small children or elderly. Could do with better cleaning as fridge and microwave were slightly dirty and smell of mould in the wicker settee upstairs. Would recommend the cottage though and it is on a high street but quiet and comfortable. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Had a fun few days with the family recently.
Had a fun few days with the family recently. We took a stairgate (a must if you had a toddler because of the stairs). Look out if you are 6' as a number of doorways are low (one should expect that in a cottage). Be aware there is no door at any point from the 1st floor to the spacious master bedroom. Really lovely cottage with a lot of history.
Really lovely cottage with a lot of history. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very steep steps which we knew about before we booked. Kitchen and bathrooms nice and clean but elsewhere cleaning could be upped a notch. We were contacted by the local person responsible for the cottage to check up on a couple of known issues which was a nice touch. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Great Cottage for Adults - but not if you have mobility issues!
Generally we really liked this cottage as it is big, has lovely historic features, largish kitchen, great location but does have it's limitations: Can'ts use the wood burner - boo! Hot water system isn't brilliant and we ran out a few times. Oven wasn't great when you're not used to it - we got there in the end. The 3 sets of stairs could be trickie if you're young, old, infirm or under the influence! The small double bedroom is small Hardly any wardrobes to store your clothes? We were sharing!!! Could do with some more mirrors around Settee setup was great, but the actual settee's aren't very comfortable Could do with more toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets....... it's a right pain having to buy them It might sound bad with all those tlittle issues but we did enjoy our stay there though and would go back as it does have a lot of charater.

Cosy cottage right by the sea
Loved staying here, perfect location next to two little pubs and right by the water. Fully functioning but sadly no Christmas tree during our stay and the log fire also isn’t operational although it appears to be from the listing photos. Still, it’s a warm and cosy, comfortable property, clean and well maintained.

Beautiful and spacious period interior.
Beautiful and spacious period interior. Tastefully furnished and presented. Overall presentation very good. Bedrooms and living rooms very clean, quality bedding and attention to detail. Disappointment was Black bag ‘rubbish’ arrangements which were inaccurate in literature.... previous occupants had obviously suffered problems too, as there are three full bags infested with flies and maggots in the rear courtyard.. Similarly some crockery needed cleaning on arrival, there were broken glasses in the cupboard, also kitchen surfaces needed wiping. Assuming however the issues were not typical, we would whole heartedly recommend the property.
