Tonto Creek Mountain Cabin - Great Views with Hot Tub and WiFi

Updated 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath cabin with the Tonto National forest between the back deck and the base of the Mogollon Rim. Just 17 miles east of Payson at 5800' come to cool off and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Large covered deck with hot tub to enhance the outdoor experience. King beds in both bedrooms. Previously a full time residence, the cabin comes fully furnished with all of the comforts of home.

Tonto Creek is just a few minutes walking distance and there are several nearby lakes. Woods Canyon, Willow Springs, Knoll, Bear Canyon, Chevelon and Black Canyon Lakes. There are many wonderful activities right at your door. Walk to a waterfall on Tonto Creek, many scenic hikes, wild flowers, fossils and enjoying drives along the Rim Rd., with its panoramic views are a few ways to soak up the relaxing area.

Wild game such as turkey, elk, deer, coyote and bear are often spotted in the forest. Only 2 miles to Zane Grey's former cabin site and the state fish hatchery.

Peaceful escape.

This was our second visit and will certainly not be our last. This truly is a magical place where you slip away and relax with both forest land and wonderful birds and squirrels who awaken you with sounds each morning. Communication was amazing and the home is spotless and well stocked with things you need during your stay.

Perfect Cozy Getaway in Nature

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful! The scenery was breathtaking, with beautiful views all around and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. The area was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind.We loved spotting wildlife, especially the variety of birds and playful squirrels—it was amazing to watch them throughout our stay. The cabin itself was incredibly cozy, well-stocked, and had everything we could possibly need. The fireplace made the evenings extra warm and inviting, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax while taking in the serene surroundings.If you're looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. We can't wait to return!

Sweet Cabin in the Woods

This is a beautiful cabin near Payson. Mark responded very quickly to our questions. The cabin is cozy and clean with extremely comfortable beds. We highly recommend staying here.

This was my second stay and we absolutely loved everything again. Just so relaxing and we love having all the beautiful nature around. Feeding the birds and squirrels is a great time i actually had the squirrels eating out of my hand lol. I just want to thank mark and Tracy again for everything just the best hosts you can have

Hidden Gem!

Special place away from it all, beautiful, quiet location in the pines. Cozy cabin with a fireplace, large porch with bird and squirrel feeders. We loved waking up to the critters each morning. Even has a hot tub where you could look up at the stars in the middle of the woods. Host was great and very quick to respond. We would love to stay here again!

Quiet Mountain Getaway

Beautiful cabin in the mountains with walking accessibility to some hikes and great nature features. An amazing porch for coffee and evening games with the crew. The only bummer is we didn’t have cell service, although the WiFi helped with that.

Comfortable and beautiful stay

My husband, kids and I loved staying at this property! It was clean, had so many amenities, nice hot tub facing the woods and gorgeous view backing to the forest. It was the right amount of space for our family of 4 and my kids loved it. Great communication with the owners! Would definitely return!

Another good year

Our second stay and with good reason. If you want to be in the woods/ nature this is your place. Everything is as advertised and Mark is a great host! We needed a wi-fi fix and he was there in less than 30 minutes. The year prior I mentioned grab bars to him and he took my suggestion and had two professionally installed in the tub. Super for old people like me. I highly recommend this wonderful cabin.

Wonderful cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this great little cabin! It has a huge porch to enjoy the quiet mountain air, watch the wildlife and enjoy a soak in the hot tub. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. The hosts were available for any questions or concerns and went above and beyond. We hope to be staying again in the future!

Soul Nourishment

This place was everything it claims and more. The views are absolutely stunning from the large windows and back deck. Not another home in site from that direction. My wife and I went looking for some Soul Nourishment, and we definitely went to the right place! So relaxing and comfortable. The hosts were amazing about letting us be, including when they brought us some supplies we lacked, and instead of coming in when we weren't there, left them on the front porch for us. I've been to a few VRBOs, in a couple of states, This one was absolutely the BEST, without contest! We will definitely stay again!

Great mountain retreat!

This place had everything you would need to never leave for the weekend. Great kitchen and very thoughtful about supplies and amenities. My wife loved the food for the squirrels. It was clean, well taken care of, in a quiet neighborhood, and overall a great stay. Will be back!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was very clean, well stocked and the hosts were easy to communicate with. They were also very thoughtful and generous. SIMPLY HEAVEN ON EARTH

Gorgeous property & excellent location, very thoughtful hosts, with the best of mother nature's beauty & serenity without feeling isolated or overly remote. I would say it exceeded all expectaions, but since we had visited it before, i will just say it would be nearly impossible to improve on anything whatsoever. Our only complaint is that we were only able to get away for 3 nights, caring for my 90 old mom less than 25 minutes away prevented a longer stay. The Payson & Mogollon Rim area has thousands of lovely places for escaping to, but none are more deserving of serious consideration than this property is. The hosts and cabin helped make celebrating our 49th extra special, thank you both again. L&J
