There is a further barn in the grounds which houses our office where we work from a few days a week. Its separate from the main building. While we are there, or via the app, we are more than happy to help you advice & help to allow you get the most from your stay. Wether that's restaurant recommendations or local sites and events to visit.

House Amenities
The property is well stocked with a plethora of great things to do for families if they wanted to spend some time located at the property and not doing as many trips into the into the surrounding area. These include
Board Games DVDs and access to Netlfix
CD's.
Garden and Tree SwingsA footpath borders the property with many lovely walks from here. There is a fire pit, bbq and outdoor pizza oven.

This stylish barn conversion has all the comforts of home and more. From comfy mattresses, feather duvets and pillows, fluffy towels, Egyptian cotton linen, spa bath to ensuite, to fun outdoor seating and cooking areas. The colours and textures are designed to make this a truly peaceful and calm retreat.

We are passionate about continuing to develop an ecological approach to the property and garden We aim to furnish our properties with beautiful antiques, vintage and repurposed finds, aiming to avoid buying new where possible. We fit out our properties using natural, renewable or recyclable materials where ever possible (cottons, linens, wools, woods, glass and metal, we avoid oil based materials eg plastics, polyester where-ever possible.
We use only eco-friendly cleaning products, re-using the containers and making our own products where possible. We are developing a farm to fork approach on a domestic scale , producing food to consumer on site, via a newly planted orchard, creating raised fruit and vegetable beds, raising chickens and bee-keeping. We aim to continue to develop the garden to support biodiversity and wildlife abundance. We have planted 200 native trees/shrubs in our grounds providing food and shelter for a host of bird, mammal and insect species. Also working with our neighbouring farmer to plant 500 more trees on his land and the approach to the house. We've developed the garden to support Pollinator Species, planting hawthorn and hazel trees and creating a pollinator garden and wildflower meadow areas. We aim to continue to develop a medicine garden. Growing plants such as chamomile, lavender, mint, st johns wort, to use in our own toiletries.

The barn itself is located in a small rural enclave, quiet but not cut off. There is an enormous choice of rural and outdoor activities to choose from. Useful things to know before you book.....
The property is accessed via an un-adopted country track. It's accessible but countryside bumpy! Unfortunately its maintained by the farmer and not us and we have to wait until he resurfaces it.

We do have a chicken coop and chicken run, if you wanted to help with feeding them or collecting eggs let us know
We have bee hives
We have an office in the garden
there is a greenhouse in the garden
there are rat bait boxes
there is a wood burner in the main living area
we advise that young children because of some of the above are not left unsupervised in the garden.

A superb family holiday
It is an excellent property. Massive gardens and chickens. Plenty of room inside. Well maintained generally but one or two little improvements would make it even better! We were thrilled overall.
