Strathan Cottage is a well-built 1950s cottage, a semi-detached bungalow which sleeps six. Newly installed double glazing throughout. Comfortable sitting room with a woodturning stove. The kitchen includes a dining table and a large larder. There are three bedrooms, one king-size , one double and one twin bedroom. The bathroom includes a shower and lavatory. There is an additional lavatory and basin available.
The cottage has an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge, immersion heater. Newly installed electric heaters in all rooms, a shaver socket and a heated rail in the bathroom.

The tariff includes cottage and all its contents. Duvets and linen are supplied, including towels. Wood is also included for the woodturning stove
A self-service launderette is available at Attadale House. Just drive up and you can do your washing from Tuesday afternoon onwards, drying rack also available.
A mile from the Estate entrance, the cottages nestle among the hills and fields and in the evenings, deer often come into the gardens to graze. A small stream runs through the garden and you can watch the cows and sheep all round. Attadale Estate offers glorious walking (including two Munros), loch and river fishing. Up in the hills, you can walk all day without seeing anyone. If you enjoy mountain biking, you have lots of opportunities here. You are near the sea. There is no passing traffic as the cottages are at the end of the tarmac road.
Furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furniture with attractive prints and paintings in every room, the cottages offer a relaxing and pretty home. New 32" TV player in every house. Spend the day curled up with a book or explore far and wide and then return to your comfortable home and warm wood burning stove in the evening. Hill walking, loch & sea fishing, mountain biking: A map is provided in each house with a selection of walks marked on it. The walks vary in length from a couple of hours to all day. Climbing the Munros is only recommended for people who are fit and accustomed to hill-walking. The Attadale estate is ideally situated for walking enthusiasts.
There is fishing available in the hill lochs if you are keen on walking. The river Carron is available to fish for the price of a day ticket which is available locally.
It is good country for mountain-biking enthusiasts. We can lend you bikes.
The villages of Lochcarron and Strathcarron are only a few minutes drive away where all possible facilities are available: an excellent village shop, petrol stations, garages, restaurant and cafes. In addition a mere five minutes away, you can find an award-winning gift shop, the Carron Pottery as well as the Carron Restaurant so you do not have to go far. Convenient for exploring Isle of Skye and Applecross peninsula.
Our own Attadale Gardens are free for you as visitors at any time, so you can explore whenever you feel like it. 20 acres of beautifully laid out water gardens, with sculpture scattered throughout. Enjoy the kitchen garden, the fern garden, the Japanese garden.
Attadale station is on the Inverness-Kyle line which means you have easy access both East and West
Sightseeing: Ideally positioned on the South side of Loch Carron you can explore the Isle of Skye, Plockton, Eilean Donan Castle, Applecross and Inverewe Gardens.
