Calhoun's is a great place to come home to after a day enjoying everything Whistler has to offer. Open the door and you're greeted by a comfortable, friendly and luxurious environment. Gather round the large dining room table and share your adventures from the day - many tales have been exchanged here. Curl up by the fire with a good book or movie, or just gaze out the window and enjoy the mountain view. People tell us they enjoy staying 'home' at Calhoun's just as much as going out.

Our guests often ask 'what's the difference between Whistler Village and Whistler Creekside?' Whistler Creekside is the original Whistler base and has the 'local feel'. It's on the south end of the valley, closest to Vancouver and 5 minutes from Whistler village. The Creekside base area is family friendly and quiet at night, yet Dusty's Pub is one of the best après ski spots in Whistler. The entire family can enjoy great food and live music after a day on the slopes. I enjoy visiting the action of Whistler Village to people watch and shop and I love to come home to Creekside and enjoy a meal at one of the great local restaurants or even better, dinner at Calhoun's!

Great Location, Awesome Property
Had a great stay! The layout worked OK for us, but the upstairs bedroom is attached to the upstairs loft, so can be tricky for 2 families to share (you have to walk through the upstairs lofted bedroom to get to the 2nd bedroom upstairs). Amazing location, great property, the hot tub is amazing the heated pool was surprisingly warm for winter swimming, the kids loved it.

Top location, clean, convenient and cozy apartment with very accommodating hosts
Great spot right by the Creekside gondola. Right across from the village with easy access to the supermarket, gym, amazing bakery, medical centre, coffee shops etc. great hosts who answered all our questions with lots of tips and suggestions and who also helped us figure out solutions for early arrival and late departure.On-site hot tub and pool was a highlight!Loved our stay thank you

Excellent ski vacation rental
We had six days of amazing skiing at Whistler. The condo was perfectly located within an easy walk of the Creekside Gondola. There was a ski locker at the front of the building. Our hosts couldn’t have been more helpful to make our vacation excellent!

Great location for skiing
Walking to gondola every morning was great. There is a nice secure ski storage area in building so don't have to leave stuff in car or schlep it up to room. Its a small place, but having a pool and hot tub and some walking trails nearby was great.

Awesome spot close to gondola
The property has a nice(warm) pool and hot tub along with shared grills. It was the perfect spot to quickly get to the Creekside gondola and get on the mountain. The walk is short, about a minute. It is close to a cool coffee shop too. Overall good experience with the host and the property!

Convenient Location to Creekside base.
We spent a week at this property and is was well equipped, and very convenient to the Creekside base of Whistler. The condo slept five comfortably, and the owner was very easy to communication with and responsive to our needs.

Great 4 days at Whistler!
We were joined by another couple for 3 days of excellent skiing! The condo is a perfect location. Everything was clean, easy, and very quiet! Lots of fun socializing in the hot tub after a day in the hill. We really enjoyed staying in and cooking our meals. The kitchen is well stocked. We would definitely book this place again. Thank you so much!!

We loved it - spacious, clean, thoughtfully decorated. Comfy beds! Amazing location, so easy to get to Creekside Gondola. The first floor ski lock room was super convenient, as was the indoor parking. Hosts even left ski locks/keys for our use. Washer/dryer greatly appreciated. Extremely easy check-in/out. Loved having incredibly easy access to ski rental location and Creekside Market/liquor store. Host was very quick and helpful in response to a question. We enjoyed five great nights and would visit again - this place is wonderful!

Great location and well equipped
We went for a week long Creekside stay at Whistler. The area was quiet and the condo was conveniently located near the gondola. Our group was 5 adults and the place met our needs. The dining area was perfect for meals and relaxing after meals conversation. The living room was compact but there was space for everyone to sit. The ski locker area was great for storing our gear. The walk to the gondola was relatively easy - as far as walking in ski gear goes!

Jack and Lesley’s Whistler Condo
My family including two children stayed at Jack and Lesley’s last week. The condo was as close to the lifts as we had hoped. We expected to want to go over to Whistler Village more than we did. However, the Creekside village had everything we needed including restaurants, a great little grocery store with premium fresh and prepared food, ski rentals and lessons for the kids. The kids walked down to the heated pool, which we could easily see out the window, so we could let them enjoy some freedom and keep and eye on them at the same time. We got to meet Jack and Lesley, and they were most hospitable, showing us around to help us acclimate quickly. We also watched some movies together by the fireplace. It was a great family vacation.

One of the best rentals we have ever had!
Upon our arrival we immediately knew we had booked the right accomodation! We found the condo bright, cheery, immaculately clean, nicely updated and very well stocked with supplies such as toilet paper, saran wrap, plush towels, spices, etc. It seemed no detail had been overlooked by the owners in order to make their guests feel very well looked after. The location was great ... family oriented, and peaceful but when it was time for more action we made the 4-5 drive into the village. We enjoyed hanging out at the spacious dining room table after a meal (there were 9 of us and we were not squished!!), playing in the good sized pool/hot tub or hiking/biking beside the rushing mountain creeks. There were enough beds for everyone & the night times were peaceful and quiet. Starbucks & the grocery store were a convenient 2 minute walk away. To top off this rental you have one of the most gracious, friendly and accomodating owners I have ever dealt with. All of these things put together made for a wonderful Whistler getaway!

Cozy condo for summer and winter
It is a cozy place with full equipped kitchen. You can find all utensils, pots, detergents, shampoo etc. The beds are comfortable for me. The bathroom is clean. The upper room has a pull out bed and a bunk bed that can sleep 3 teens and 2 children. The washing machine and dryer are beside one of the queen beds. I would suggest to wash clothes earlier so that you do not need to turn on dryer while you are sleeping. I also enjoyed the hot tub downstairs. Overall it is a comfortable place to live.

Family retreat
The condo as amazing. Just as it is pictured. The bus is so convenient.. just happened to be free during our stay. We did not need a vehicle. The pool was perfect for an afternoon on the sun after visiting the village or after one of the many hikes we took. We would 100% stay again!

This unit is in an ideal location steps from the Creekside gondola. The space is very efficiently laid out. We were five male friends and were very comfortable. The unit is well appointed and has everything you need.

Perfect Ski trip
This was a perfect condo for a ski trip with friends. Just a step away from the creekside gondola. The pool and spa were very pleasant after a day of skiing. The owner was very helpful!

We are a family of 4 who live near Vancouver. Our family loves the outdoors and takes every opportunity to ski, hike and bike. Owning a property in Whistler has been a dream of ours for many years and we are happy to share our Whistler home with others. We also love to travel and have had experiences staying in vacation homes around the world. We know what we like when we're vacationing and we have worked hard to bring those amenities to our Whistler home.

Why they chose this property

We searched the Whistler area thoroughly for our vacation property and were absolutely thrilled with what Lake Placid offers. In our opinion, this is hands down one of the best properties in the area. Our list of 'must- haves' was quite high - easy access to the ski hill; a pool and hottub to enjoy après ski and year round; an updated and secure building in a convenient location. Lake Placid has it all!

What makes this property unique

We love the location! I smile everytime I make the 90 second walk to the gondola. I also love the view we have from our livingroom window. I can look down and see the pool and hottub or look up and see the moon rising over a forested mountain. Lake Placid also has easy access to groceries, coffee shops, a bakeshop, liquor store and we are always running out for 'one more thing'. One of my favourite things to do is walk or bike into Whistler village with my family for dinner. The walk is gorgeous - paved trails through the forest and by the lakes. When we're done we hop on the bus and return to our quiet and relaxing condo in Creekside.
