THE VIEW
Located on the 2nd floor of Building 1, this unit has a fabulous, expansive beach and Gulf view that stretches to the East. Enjoy a brilliant sunrise and evening views of the lights on the horizon. The view is hard to beat!

THE LOCATION
Located on the East End of the Island at Loggerhead Cay, the condo is within reach of the Causeway making island access easy. As a Building 1 unit, the condo is just steps to the beach.

THE BASICS
This condo is bright, airy and decorated in Tommy Bahama island rattan yielding a peaceful zen-like feel with very comfortable furniture. Equipped with high-speed WiFi, cable TV and 3 flat screen TVs (living room and both bedrooms). The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Each bedroom has a private, en suite bathroom. A full-sized washer/dryer is available in the unit and all bed linens and bath towels are provided (there is no additional "linen fee"). The kitchen includes a breakfast bar. A good collection of puzzles and hardback/paperback books await the avid reader.

THE AMENITIES
Loggerhead Cay has a heated swimming pool near our unit, brand new 2 pickleball and 1 tennis courts (scheduled to reopen March 2024), shuffleboard courts, bike racks and outdoor grills two of which are conveniently located near our Building 1 unit.

THE EXTRAS
A unique feature is the glass-enclosed, screened-in lanai so if the weather turns too hot & muggy, you can enjoy the gulf view comfortably in air conditioned space. In milder temperatures, just open the large sliding glass doors and enjoy the Gulf breeze. The lanai includes both a cozy seating area and a dining table for four.

The condo is well equipped particularly the kitchen which has all the essentials and more. Guests are provided with a start-kit of toilet paper and paper towels and ample supplies of hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, clothes washing detergent and other cleaning supplies. Since people have personal preferences, please bring your own shampoo/conditioner.

The beach gear closet is conveniently located on the first floor and is filled with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys and a beach cart to make it easy to get your gear to the beach. It also includes pickleball & tennis rackets among other items.

VARIABLE CHECK-IN/OUT SCHEDULE
Unlike most Sanibel condos, you are not required to book a Saturday-Saturday stay. You can pick any day of the week to check-in as long as you book for at least 7 days (we ask that you avoid Sunday check-ins in order to give our Property Manager a break! ).

HURRICANE IAN
For those new to Sanibel, please be aware that the Island is recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Loggerhead Cay is one of the earliest complexes to recover from the storm. The photos of the interior of the condo are up-to-date as of January 2024. Some of the exterior photos are pre-Ian. At Loggerhead Cay, most of the reconstruction is complete, however, there are still some projects underway (e.g., painting of the exterior of the building, elevator repairs). The pickleball/tennis courts are scheduled to open in mid-March 2024. Restaurants and shops are reopening -- consult the Chamber of Commerce's website for the latest news. If you have questions, feel free to send me an inquiry before booking.

RENTER REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum booking must be seven (7) days (this is imposed by a City of Sanibel ordinances and Loggerhead Cay Condominium Association bylaws)
- Non-smokers only.
- No pets (due to allergy reasons, no pets allowed).
- Minimum age requirement to book the condo is 28.
- Maximum occupancy is four (4) people -- no exceptions. The condo is not set up to handle more people.
- Signed rental agreement and security deposit required.
- Please note cancellation policy and consider purchasing travel insurance if you have any concern.

Awesome place!

The place was great! We loved the storage unit on the 1st floor. It felt like home & we had everything we needed! We loved the bike riding & rented from Billys Rental Place! It was a beautiful island! However, we did not enjoy the no seems bugs!

Wonderful condo!

The unit is clean, comfortable, great location. Beds were comfortable and since it rained most of our stay, the condo was relaxing. There is everything you need, from towels, kitchen items, to beach items. The owner let us know that the elevator was being repaired and keot in touch with us. Will definitely return!

If only Hurricane Ian stayed away!

Stephanie’s condo is more than you could ever want. She’s right on the beach & has everything you can possibly need during your stay - and the things you didn’t know you needed but want! Fully stocked kitchen - beach items - games - hundreds of books to choose from - EVERYTHING. It felt like home. Our vacation sadly was cut short by Hurricane Ian but this is a place that we would go back yearly. Sanibel has been my heaven on earth since 1975 and I can’t wait to return. Stephanie kept checking in on us to alert us of the coming storm. She was very glad when we said we were evacuating. You won’t go wrong staying in her unit at Loggerhead. She really cares that you have a great stay and does everything she can to make sure you do! Hope to see you soon Sanibel!!

Lovely condo that felt like home

Immaculate! My fiancé' and I planned on getting married on Sanibel and came across Stephanie's place while searching for places to stay. From the moment we arrived, until the time we left, we just could not believe we found such a wonderful place. The cleanliness was unbelievable! The view wonderful! The amenities were above and beyond! You have everything you need at your fingertips right there inside the condo. Great Condo

Our trip to Sanibel didn’t start out as expected as we had a huge delay with our flight so we didn’t get to the condo until very late at night. Parking spot was easily found and condo was easily accessible. Condo was well equipped with everything that you would need for a beach vacation on Sanibel including beach chairs, towels, wagon, and even shelling nets. And did I say that it is steps to the beach with a great view…We had a great stay and would definitely book this condo again.. would give more stars if possible!

Perfect!

Couldn’t have asked for an easier & better stay than in Stephanie’s place. Everything was exactly as described and the entire condo was stocked with literally anything you could need for you stay—from spices in the kitchen to beach supplies & towels. As a bonus, if you’re like me and completely forgot I needed to print a parking pass prior to checking in, she even has a wireless printer that was a breeze to connect to and print the pass wirelessly from my phone. Not having a key to worry about the whole time was wonderful, and we never had any issues with the Yale lock while there. The only issues we encountered were plumbing-related and the vacation rental agency took care of the problems immediately. This unit is not technically one of the first beachfront ones, but the views are fantastic. There is also an endless supply of books are your disposal for beach reading. The only thing I would change is the folding doors to the master suite; they were a little difficult to latch at times and the noise from the living room was louder than expected being that they don’t touch the floor. A very minor note, though. I would highly recommend staying here if it’s available!!

Sanibel Loggerhead stay

Perfect Place for a Summer Break

Loved this property and we all enjoyed it so much. Beach chairs, umbrellas, toys were all included. It was plenty spacious for our family of four. Very clean and close to so many things. We just love Sanibel and would gladly stay here again! Our teens loved it too. The ocean view was a beautiful sight to have every day and it was just a minute walk to the beach.

Incredible view

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the porch is incredible. Sat out there and enjoyed our coffee while watching the sun rise every morning. Even spotted a few dolphins while sitting there. Short walk to the beach. Condo was clean and well equipped for our stay. They have everything we needed for the beach. Chairs, umbrella, towels, sand toys, and even a beach wagon. The beach was not crowded. The condo community is well kept and clean. We will definitely be coming back.

Sparkling clean and well-provisioned.

What a comfortable, well-located property to spend your vacation. I wish whoever cleaned the condo lived near me so they could clean my house - it was REALLY clean. The appliances worked well and there are plenty of pots, pans and dishes. The bathrooms are well-designed and updated. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai after a day at the beach watching the water and the birds. There is a large selection of books, games and beach equipment in the unit. We appreciated the beach cart in particular. The elevator for the building is very conveniently located near the unit. The pool is large and very clean. It's Sanibel, so it is an easy drive from the complex to wherever you want to go on the island. Stephanie, the owner, was lovely and easy to work with. I am so glad that she was willing to share her Sanibel treasure with us.

Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time in this condo! The view is absolutely beautiful, and the beach is just a short walk away. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed for the beach (the wagon was particularly helpful!). The water was calm, and the sunsets were gorgeous. Overall, a perfect trip for our family. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Landing

Highly recommend staying here!

The view was spectacular! Access to the beach was a 2 min walk! The items available for use at the beach saved me a small fortune. Any questions I had were immediately answered. I honestly recommend Loggerhead Cay #142 to anyone and everyone looking for a wonderful place to stay at Sanibel!

My family originally came to Sanibel in the late 1960s just after the causeway was built. We fell in love with the island and it became our "go to" vacation spot. My parents were among the first families to buy condos on the island and among the first owners at Loggerhead Cay. Now as second generation owners, my brother and I and our families enjoy escaping to Sanibel in our spare time (of which there is never enough!) and are delighted to offer our family's condo to others who want to spend time on Sanibel and at Loggerhead Cay.
