Situated at a dead end road. Free parking in the streets and 2 parking spaces on premise. A small shopping area with supermarkets, bakery, butcher, etc. is close by. The bus stops at the end of the street brings you to Amsterdam in 30 minutes and goes every 10 minutes (during the night less frequent). At the other end of the street there is a golf course where you can have a stroll around or play some golf. Guests have access to the entire house, garden and amenities. Towels & linen etc are included. We have some toys for children. We also allow people to stay for longer periods. No pets allowed. No smoking inside.

It's the perfect spot for a stay in the Amsterdam area, without having to sleep in the hectic of the city.

Surroundings
Amsterdam is one of the highlights just 30 minutes away with many things to visit, such as the canals with the canal houses, a boat cruise, museums, Chinatown, Red Light district and many more.
The house is situated close to famous old Dutch villages (10 minute drive or a 30 minute bike ride). Enter a world of cute towns with character right on the IJsselmeer river: Volendam, Edam, Monnickendam, Marken and Broek in Waterland.

Broek in Waterland, a truly mini-Amsterdam with historic wooden houses on canals. Monnickendam, a small seaport with a historic town center. The Edam cheese market is worth a visit as well as Marken, a unique former fishing village with distinctive dark green houses perched on stilts in the water and charming historic streets with museums, cafes, and stores. Sure, the clog factory that greets you at the town entrance is touristy, but it also adds to the Dutch flavor of the place. From Marken, take a 30-minute ferry ride across the river to Volendam (which runs between March and November). A charming fishing village where visitors can walk around the bustling harbor to see colorful boats and have photos tasks or themselves dressed in Dutch costumes with striped clothing, high-pointed bonnets and wooden clogs. A stroll around the old village offers many attractive sights such as historic houses built on stilts and a beautiful 17th century church. Enjoy a seafood dinner.

A short drive (15 minutes, or 45 minute bike ride) in another direction form the house you can find the “Zaanse Schans” a living, outdoor Dutch history museum on the Zaan river containing an impressive collection of historic windmills and other buildings. Here at this popular tourist attraction, visitors can learn about traditional Dutch life and watch various demonstrations such as cheese-processing, coffee-grinding and clog-making. Basically a mini theme park of eight windmills, a cheese maker, a gin (Dutch gin) tasting room, a pancake restaurant, and other examples of typical Dutch life, all connected by a pathway that's perfect for biking or strolling. You can also take a ferry around the entire area, gazing at the sights from the sea.

Also 15 minutes away you can find the World Heritage the Beemster and Schermerhorn. The dike builders enthusiastically seized the unique opportunity to lay out the new, empty land. A pattern of squares was chosen for the layout of the new land, formed by watercourses and roads. Up until the present day, this exceptional land division has been preserved almost untouched and was one of the reasons why Unesco decided to put The Beemster on the World Heritage List (1999). This decision created a unique situation, because part of another World Heritage site, the Defense Line or Amsterdam, was now included in the area of the Beemster.

The Keukenhof Gardens is the world's largest flower garden, located near the small town of Lisse, about an hour drive away. Attracting more than 800,000 visitors annually, Keukenhof Gardens showcases an 80-acre complex or remarkable gardens that are designed in various themes such as the English Garden, Japanese Garden and Historical Garden. Planted every year with seven million flower bulbs, these gardens explode into spectacular beauty each spring. To see and capture stunning photographs of these flower gardens, plan a trip during the open season that starts mid-March and ends mid-May. Situated across from the gardens is the Keukenhof Castle, which is opened year-round and frequently hosts events such as festivals, music concerts and medieval fairs.

There are several beaches within a 45 minute drive, such as Zandvoort, Bloemendaal, Castricum, Egmond aan Zee, Bergen aan Zee, Schoorl, Petten.

Lovely house, good location and communication

The house is roomy, comfortable, super equipped and lovely. Denns was very helpful in anything we could possibly need, including sending us weather forecast. We found any kind of spices, coffee, sugar, cleaning products and two complementary bottles of wine. Locatiom is great for both Amsterdam and many little villages on the coast. Garden is a great plus. Would recommend to anyone, apart from people who cannot climb stairs.
