We have a 3 bedroom cottage in Rothbury, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park.

The cottage has three bedrooms sleeping 6 (in a double, twin and bunks)

The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, cooker, microwave etc so you can easily self cater or combine this with eating out in Rothbury or beyond.

We do take children of all ages. No pets. No smoking.

It is well set up for children as we have little ones ourselves eg games, toys, kids DVDs, plastic cutlery and crockery.

It’s perfect for walking and biking, Harry Potter at Alnwick Castle, dark skies, Northumberland beaches and castles, Hadrian’s Wall

A lovely cottage in the picturesque town of Rothbury - a minute's walk to pub's, high quality butcher's & deli, bakery & Canny Sourdough - an artisan micro bakery plus Anisha's Tandoori - all were fantastic!

Lovely

Wonderful stay in a charming cottage. Communication with Victoria was seamless and quick. Everything we could possibly need for cooking. Loads of interesting books and information about the area. Great shower. Only thing I might suggest is some extra blankets and sheets for beds. Already planning our next stay, will be back.

Great property, excellent facilities and superb location.

The whole process of booking and communicating with the property host was excellent, with details of the property, local facilities and walks round the area being sent. These added details helped us plan our holiday in advance and made it more enjoyable The house was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and equipment easy to use. The location of the house was excellent being just off the Main Street so a short walk to pubs, restaurants and shops. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Perfect, relaxing property and location

We had a lovely relaxing week in this spacious, clean, nicely furnished and decorated property, watching the birds come and go in the lovely garden from the living room window. Victoria was so helpful and friendly, and knowledgeable about the area right from the time of booking till check out. Check in was very straight forward with code for key and plenty of information about the property and local area and places of interest inside. The location was perfect for ease of travelling to places of interest and Rothbury itself is a pretty village with shops and places to eat. I cannot wait to return and would definitely recommend to both couples and families. Thank you Victoria for a wonderful stay.

The Maltings, Rothbury

We rented the property for our family holiday. Lovely property, well equipped and well located for lots of different activities in Northumberland. Very quiet area, lovely to hear the owls at night.

It was a lovely place to stay, 15mins fro Alnwick and 30mins from the beautiful beaches. Lots to see

House was in a lovely village and easy to get to everywhere, Edinburgh was 1hr 50 mins and a lovely drive to newcraighall train station where we got the train 15mins and £3.50 return. The beaches were stunning and we visited 1 or 2 a day after visiting other places. The house was comfortable and a good base for getting out and about. The beds were comfy, had everything you would need. Victoria was very helpful too.

Good location

The house was clean, tidy and well equipped for a comfortable stay. It is a good location to explore Northumberland within a reasonable drive to perfect Sandy beaches, lovely walks and children’s days out. Local food venues are very good.

Very enjoyable short holiday

The house is an excellent base for all ages - very close to amenities with easy access to the river for short walks or the moors and woods for longer expeditions, and not too far from the coast. Very clean, well equipped and lots of local information. Communication with Victoria was very straightforward and helpful. We recommend visiting the Couquetdale art gallery in Rothbury, and certainly hope to return sometime.

Lovely long weekend!

We loved spending time at the property and exploring the local area - good playground and riverside walks which our small boys explored on scooters! We also enjoyed trips further afield and the gorgeous beach at Druridge Bay, as well as exploring the Alnwick Garden. Victoria was so helpful and answered all the questions we had in a prompt and friendly manner. We found the house to be deceptively spacious and so comfortable after days spent outdoors. We would definitely return! Thanks again.

Idyllic location

We had a lovely break. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. The location is central to all the town shops and amenities. The owner provided clear information relating to the stay. Loved the treasure trail and all the local information provided. Would recommend the Rothbury food truck.
