About this property

Fully renovated townhouse in St Gengoux's Old Quarter

Fully renovated townhouse in heart of St Gengoux's Old Quarter.

Set over 5 floors, this stunning property consists of 4 bedrooms and can easily accomodate 9 people.

Entering via Rue des Chapeliers, a small cloakroom leads into a good sized, restaurant quality kitchen. Past the kitchen, you enter the stunning Library/Dining Room with a small balcony looking out on to Rue de L'Esperance with views of the Church and cobbled backstreets of St Gengoux.

An original stone and wooden staircase winds its way up the centre of the house leading to 2 large Double Bedrooms each with en-suite, 2 adjacent Single bedrooms with their own bathroom and a final large bedroom which can be configured as 3 singles or 1 double and a single also with a bathroom nearby.

The upper floors have wonderful views over the rooftops of St Gengoux and its 12th Century Roman church.

Descending from the Dining Room, there is a large sitting room with doors opening on to the lower Rue de L'Esperance. A large vaulted cellar is also located on this level with ample, secure storage for bikes.

St Gengoux is a small but very popular historic town with several bars and restaurants and a weekly Tuesday market throughout the summer months.

Situated in the heart of Burgundy, there are a wide range of activities in the local area such as wine tasting, cycling and hiking to enjoy.

The main Route du Soleil A6 motorway is 30 minutes away, Le Creusot TGV station is a 30 minute drive, Macon TGV is 40 minutes and Lyon Airport 1h30 away.
