Surrounded by the peace and quiet of our neighborhood, relax on our back lanai to discover the beauty and splendor of the North Shore of Kauai. Hanalei features lush valleys and mountains with cascading waterfalls as well as picturesque Hanalei Bay and historic Hanalei Pier.

Hanalei Bay is a stunning two-mile stretch of white, sandy beach, where whales and dolphins can be seen. You can witness a magnificent rainbow during a sunset stroll or picnic on the beach. During the summer season, the Bay offers kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, and seemingly endless sunshine, while the winter season is famous for its powerful and breathtaking surf.

Browse through quaint Hanalei town, with its various specialty shops and art galleries. You can also sample a variety of our 'local' foods and talents at the many eateries Hanalei Town has to offer. Visit the world-famous Hanalei Valley, a US Fish and Wildlife Refuge - home to many species of birds, some endangered, as well as being the largest area of taro grown in the state of Hawaii.

There are so many things to see and do on Kauai. The west side features Koke'e State Park and Waimea Canyon (the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific'). The South Shore boasts the Spouting Horn and the Tunnel of Trees. On the east side, there is the Wailua River and the lush, fern-covered cavern of the Fern Grotto. The North Shore's majestic cliffs of the Na Pali Coast and numerous beaches for snorkeling and surfing all waiting to be discovered. Cathy and Glen are amazing hosts! This is our second time staying at their home in Hanalei and it is the perfect location. Our teens loved it because they were able to get a walking head start to the beach or town. We love it so much that we are already booked for 2025!

Fantastic stay in Hanalei

We loved our stay at Cathy & Glenn's rental! It's location is perfect - 5 minutes to beautiful Hanalei Beach and 5 minutes to town with lots of restaurants, shops, and groceries. The house is spacious and very well equipped with everything you will need. They had nice beach chairs and umbrella, and beach toys. We really enjoyed the back lanai for all of our meals and the outside shower. The house was very clean, and well kept after. Like most houses in the area, no AC, but there were ceiling fans in all rooms that kept things cooled down. The hosts were very responsive and helpful after we booked and brought us bananas during our stay. We can't wait to come back!

The most incredible location!

We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back. The location really can’t be beat, it was so amazing to be a two minute walk from Hanalei beach in one direction and the shops and restaurants in the other. And it was well equipped with beach chairs, beach toys, a beach umbrella, and boogie boards for guests’ use. We statesiders struggled a tiny bit with the heat and no AC in the summer, but we had a few especially hot and humid days, and most nights it cooled down enough that fans and open windows were comfortable enough. We hope to be back soon!

Our new home away from home

This was our second time staying here. If you are looking to feel at home within walking distance of the beach and Hanalei town this is it. It is an ohana house, not at all flashy. A place you can pretend you live in for as long as you are lucky enough to stay. We will be back.

amazing location

For a family with young kids or basically anyone, this location is amazing! super close to shops and restaurants as well as the most beautiful beach. The house is simple but has everything you need and super comfortable- the hosts Cathy and Glenn thought of everything. they are sooo warm and friendly and even brought us fresh fruit multiple times during our stay. I left my necklace at the house after we left and Cathy even met us half way from our other location to return it - so kind!!! it is truly a magical little place and we would definitely return:)

Perfect vacation rental, perfect area!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home is exactly as pictured with plenty of space and cool breeze. Hosts are really wonderful. Reserving and check in were smooth and easy. Close to the beach and town

We loved the location of this house being so close to the beach and town. The hosts Glen and Kathy were so friendly and gracious bringing us bananas and cucumbers from their garden. We appreciated having the cooler, beach towels and beach chairs available. Great experience overall!
