Very few neighbours but extremely helpful und nice! The cottage is situated very calmly but there is plenty to explore in its neighbourhood such as the pictish trail, the lighthouse, the viewpoint (we saw dolphins) and of corse Glenmorangie, Balblair and Dornoch!
Beautiful, well-equipped cottage in lovely rural location
Very straightforward check-in, beautiful farm cottage in amongst farmland with fantastic facilities. Excellent kitchen with many utensils and large solid wood dining table. We really enjoyed our stay. The walk through the edge of the woods down to the stony beach is a must - we collected loads of groatie buckies!
We had a marvellous short stay at 3 Tarrel Farm - very well kitted-out and nicely finished amidst farmland with walks on your doorstep. Tain and Dornoch are close by along with many other great locations. Cannot recommend highly enough for a quiet location and we shall definitely be returning for a longer stay. Many thanks, Arabella.
We had a fabulous time at Tarrel Farm Cottages. It was warm and cosy and the perfect base for our 4 days of hard training. Thank you so much to Arabella and her famiy for having us.

The house is pleasant, spacious and functional. It's set in charming, peaceful surroundings! Beach, promenade, village, restaurant, you name it! Thank you very much!

Didn’t realise it was on a working farm, quite a way from the beach. Not easy to walk the dogs and I wrongly thought the garden was fenced in.
The cottage itself was very roomy and well equipped.
Overall brilliant holiday fantastic location both cottage and area. The scottish hospitality, scenery and food was amazing, the only downside was that there were lots of cobwebs in the cottage and the mattresses need replacing, we all ended up with bad backs, by the end of the week as they no longer provided any support.
On line instructions to find property were very poor, difficulty working key safe.
Access road very poor.Property very well equiped but creeking floor boards on stairs and top floor drove us mad. Impossible to turn off heated towel rails without turning boiler off completly, like a sauna in both bathrooms. We will not stay there again.
Lovely cottage with everything you need plus more in great quiet location perfect for those looking for relaxing break yet only 10minutes by car to good local amenities
Lovely cottage. Very quiet. But close to Portmahomack and Tain.
